Chapter 605: War God Xing Tian
Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations
Su Qianyun defeated her opponent on the eighty-third level and obtained the inheritance of the Immortal Flame Lotus.
This inheritance was a complete mismatch with her style of battle, but she still accepted it without any hint of pickiness.
On top of that, the Celestial Immortal was very happy to pass on their inheritance to her.
This was for no reason other than the fact that she was simply far too beautiful!
It had been a long time since the Immortal had seen such a beautiful little girl, so they almost had no choice but to pass an inheritance onto her.
Immediately after that, Su Qianyun chose level eighty-four with an elated smile.
Bai Zhong felt like Su Qianyun was the cutest and most amiable among all these students. Not only was she beautiful on the outside, but she also had a super beautiful personality! He felt the most at ease when dealing with her.
This was also why Bai Zhong was the most approving of Su Qianyun.
Among all these trial-takers, Su Qianyun was the only one who had earned a compliment like this…
Meanwhile, Xu Xiaolan was having a difficult battle on the ninety-fifth level.
In the end, the enraged cry of the vermilion bird erupted as white Holy Vermilion Flames engulfed the entirety of the ninety-fifth level. The fearsome heat and destructive power imbued within the flames made the air within the level shimmer and warp.
Her opponent was a man whose entire body was enveloped by a defensive spell technique, which manifested itself into the projection of an indestructible golden dragon’s head.
Lightning pythons appeared under Xu Xiaolan’s feet as she flew through the flames as if she were a sharp sword.
She spread her white wings as she leaped into the air like a goddess soaring through the air.
An azure lightning dragon transformed to become a divine sword imbued with vast dragon might while a white flaming vermilion bird transformed into a flaming longsword imbued with holy might. The two swords then combined as one, and an extremely devastating energy fluctuation began to proliferate forth as a longsword imbued with the might of the vermilion bird and the might of the true dragon appeared in Xu Xiaolan’s hand.

She stepped forward with her fearsome longsword before striking down upon the projection of the golden dragon head!
Boom!
White flames and azure lightning exploded forth as an unfathomable power swept through the entire level, causing the Immortal Spirit Tower to tremor violently as the defensive spell formations around the tower threatened to give out.
Xu Xiaolan walked toward the man amid a sea of flames. Her features were a bit pale, thereby indicating that she had expended a vast amount of energy in unleashing that attack, but she stood tall and proud as flames danced for joy around her, giving her the appearance of a goddess of fire.
A massive gash had appeared on the projection of the golden dragon head, and blood poured from the Celestial Immortal’s glabella as his aura became more and more diminished.
“I didn’t think I would meet someone who would combine the bloodlines of the Vermilion Bird and the True Dragon. It looks like my thousands of years in wait has reaped rewards after all.” A golden symbol appeared in the man’s hand as he asked, “Are you interested in the power of this dragon symbol?”
Xu Xiaolan bowed with a slight smile. “I would be honored to accept it. Thank you, Senior!”
All the students outside the Immortal Spirit Tower erupted once again.
“My God! Xu Xiaolan defeated the Celestial Immortal on the ninety-fifth level?!”
“I initially thought she was no different from all the other Soul Formation Stage prodigies, but I didn’t expect her to break the school record that has stood for over a thousand years!”
“That final sword projection was way too powerful. Just looking at it from the footage on the screen made my heart rate accelerate. And this is only one percent of her strength, just how powerful would her full strength be?”
Amid countless cries of amazement, some students were already turning their eyes elsewhere.
“Xu Xiaolan has just passed the trial on the ninety-fifth level, do you guys think Goddess Liu can pass the trial at the ninety-seventh level?”
“It’s going to be quite difficult! Senior Student Liu has only just reached the Soul Formation Stage and has not yet had a chance to fortify her cultivation base. Back in the day, True Lord Erlang passed the trial on the ninety-seventh level at the Soul Formation Intermediate Stage before falling at the ninety-eighth level, creating the school record in the process. Liu Qianhuan has only just progressed to the Soul Formation Stage, so she can’t compare with True Lord Erlang from back then!”

Amid all the students, Tang Ximen looked up at the screen with admiration and envy on his face.
His target was to pass the trial at the eightieth level in order to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. However, all his friends were already aiming for the all-time record… Ah, what was this crushing sense of inferiority?
Bai Zhong’s cheeks were searing with embarrassment at the sight of Xu Xiaolan passing the trial on the ninety-fifth level. He appeared before Xu Xiaolan after calming his emotions. He then produced a pile of badges.
Xu Xiaolan’s eyebrows perked up as she scanned through the numbers. “Huh? Where is the badge for the ninety-seventh level?”
“It has been taken by Student Liu Qianhuan,” Bai Zhong replied.
Xu Xiaolan paused for a moment before a slight smile appeared on her face. “Then I’ll go for level ninety-six!”
Bai Zhong nodded before handing the badge over.
He didn’t want to say anything anymore in case he would be forced to swallow his words again in the future.
Meanwhile, on the ninety-eighth level.
An Lin looked at the Celestial Immortal before him, who was still in the process of taking his shape. When An Lin experienced the vast aura emanating from his body, he couldn’t help but tremble with excitement.
What a powerful aura!
This was the aura of a mighty figure at the pinnacle of the Return to Void Final Stage!
This meant that the Celestial Immortal that was about to appear before him was someone that had attained an extremely high level of enlightenment to his own Dao and would have been one step away from the Dao Integration Stage! The Celestial Immortal before him gave him the same sense of asphyxiation as when he faced off against the likes of the Dark Night Monarch and Palace Leader Qing Li. Against mighty figures of this level, he felt as if his entire body was being crushed by the divine Dao.
He took a deep breath as he stared at his opponent with a scorching gaze.
The Celestial Immortal’s body finally fully materialized as an even more monstrous aura burst forth, which seemed to be threatening to send the space around into collapse.
His eyes were like bottomless abyssal pools as black rings of wind revolved around his wrists. His whole body exuded a devastating destructive power, and the aspect about him that was most noteworthy were his two feet, which were levitating in mid-air with an inky-dark hole underfoot.
The dark hole appeared to a round pool of black liquid at first, but when An Lin focused his gaze, he discovered that the darkness seemed to expand into a gargantuan abyss that threatened to engulf heaven and earth.
It was this boundless realm of darkness that gave onlookers a sense of horror and powerlessness.
“Heh, human…”
The male Celestial Immortal suddenly spoke, and his voice was unexpectedly delicate and pleasing to the air.
What kind of greeting is this?
An Lin blinked with confusion on his face, but he still bowed respectfully. “Junior An Lin pays his respects to Senior.”
“Do you know who I am?” The man fixed his abyssal eyes on An Lin.
An Lin’s heart trembled slightly, but he still gave an honest response, “I don’t.”
“Hmph! Who gave you the courage to challenge me without even knowing who I am?!” The man harrumphed coldly as an eerie aura of biting chill emanated from his body.
Before An Lin had a chance to reply, the man continued, “My name is Xing Tian, and I am the most powerful War God of the Ancient Heavenly Court! I was once stationed at the Sinister Spirit Beast Cesspool and have slain hundreds of millions of monsters. There were even about a dozen Return to Void Stage monsters that had been slain by my hands!”
An Lin was shocked upon hearing this. Shouldn’t Xing Tian 1 be a monster with eyes on its chest and its mouth where its belly button should be? How could it be such a handsome man instead? This was completely different from what he had envisioned!
“Senior Xing Tian, I…” An Lin said as he joined his hands in a salute.
“Don’t talk! Let me talk!” Xing Tian waved a hand to silence An Lin.
An Lin: “…”
