Chapter 581: The Speechless Emperor Ziwei
Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations
In the face of Emperor Ziwei’s interrogation, everyone turned their eyes on An Lin.
A harmless smile appeared on An Lin’s face. “Hehehe… Emperor Ziwei, I was the one who purchased all their golden Realm Essence Crystals and at one hundred and ten percent of their recommended retail price as well, so my prices were definitely fair. I really have a desperate need for these golden Realm Essence Crystals.”
Emperor Ziwei’s face convulsed slightly. “How desperately do you need them?”
“If I don’t gather enough golden Realm Essence Crystals, I will experience ten thousand years of agony!” An Lin replied with a solemn expression.
“Is it that serious?” Emperor Ziwei was a little shocked to hear this.
It wasn’t as if he had to have golden Realm Essence Crystals, but it was just extremely bizarre that there was not even a single golden Realm Essence Crystal submitted, so he couldn’t help but question everyone.
An Lin nodded. “It really is that serious. On top of that, I’m only one golden Realm Essence Crystal away from my target. Do you have one? I can purchase from you; price is not an issue.”
An amused smile appeared on Emperor Ziwei’s face. “So not only have you harvested a lot of golden Realm Essence Crystals for yourself, you’re trying to take one from me as well? Humor me; tell me how many golden Realm Essence Crystals you’re aiming for.”
“One hundred,” An Lin replied.
“Pffft…” Emperor Ziwei’s cold facade finally crumbled as he burst into laughter. “One hundred? So that means you already have ninety-nine? Alright, let me see them then! If you really do have ninety-nine golden Realm Essence Crystals, then I’ll give one to you free of charge!”
He was clearly quite skeptical of An Lin’s words.
Ninety-nine golden Realm Essence Crystals? What a ridiculous amount! Who was he trying to fool?!
An Lin’s eyes immediately lit up. You forced me to flex, so don’t blame me…
He had no choice but to release all ninety-nine of his golden Realm Essence Crystals.
In that instant, a scintillating golden light burst forth. The entire space within the palace became extremely viscous, and even the entire heaven and earth was colored completely golden!

Countless cultivators felt as if they had been blinded by the brilliant light.
Emperor Ziwei stared at the dense cluster of golden Realm Essence Crystals in the air as his mouth gaped open in shock.
“How… how the f*ck did you get so many golden Realm Essence Crystals?!” Emperor Ziwei’s facade completely crumbled as he stared blankly at the scene before him.
It was not an exaggeration by any means to say that all the golden Realm Essence Crystals collected by the other fifteen powers combined was probably less than what An Lin had!
All the other cultivators stood rooted to the spot like deers caught in headlights.
“Gasp… it’s so shiny! Are those all f*cking golden Realm Essence Crystal? Holy sh*t!”
“This is completely unimaginable to me.”
“My god, there’s even a statue of a beauty crafted from golden Realm Essence Crystals!”
“My poverty has limited my imagination…”
“How terrifying. Mr. An Lin surely is the most supremely talented cultivator in the entire Heavenly Court!”
…
An Lin suddenly recalled something. “Oh right, that statue is crafted from twenty-three golden Realm Essence Crystals. Please feel free to count everything in order to verify that there are indeed ninety-nine crystals in total.”
He trusted that Emperor Ziwei had most likely already tallied up all the golden Realm Essence Crystals with his powerful divine sense.
Emperor Ziwei took a deep breath to calm his thumping heart. He then pulled out another golden Realm Essence Crystal from his storage ring with trembling hands before passing it to An Lin.
This was the sample Realm Essence Crystal that he had shown everyone prior to their entry to the Ancient Tai Chu Realm…
He had made a promise, so he had to keep it!
An Lin heaved a long sigh of relief as he accepted the golden Realm Essence Crystal offered to him by Emperor Ziwei.
He finally had enough to complete the system’s diabolical mission!
On top of that, he had earned a golden Realm Essence Crystal for free. This was great!
An Lin stowed all one hundred golden Realm Essence Crystals away into his storage ring, and everyone suddenly felt as if all the lights had disappeared from the world…
All the cultivators, including Liu Chuchu and the others, who were somewhat mentally prepared had a feeling that they were dreaming; that everything was an illusion. Some cultivators had even lowered their heads as they didn’t dare to look directly at An Lin.

Emperor Ziwei recovered from his shock and was extremely curious. What did An Lin need so many golden Realm Essence Crystals for?!
“An Lin, have you completed that mission of yours?” Emperor Ziwei asked with a curious expression.
“I have.” An Lin nodded with a smile.
A smile appeared on Emperor Ziwei’s face. “It looks like I’ll need to keep you here so that we can have a good chat.”
He was extremely curious about what An Lin had experienced inside the Ancient Divine Realm.
This suited An Lin just fine, and he immediately nodded. “Perfect. I had something that I needed to inform you as well.”
Emperor Ziwei spoke a bit more with the rest of the cultivators before sending them away to the Ziwei Pavilion to report all the information they had gathered to the Heavenly Court.
Soon, there were only An Lin, Xiao Ze, Tina, Xue Zhantian, and Emperor Ziwei left in the palace.
Emperor Ziwei waved his arm, and a table and some chairs appeared along with a few cups of tea.
“Please have a seat, An Lin, and let us have a good chat.” Emperor Ziwei smiled warmly.
An Lin nodded before handing over a Stardust Fruit to Emperor Ziwei.
Emperor Ziwei didn’t even glance at the Stardust Fruit as he took it from An Lin’s hand. Instead, he took a sip of tea with his eyes trained firmly on An Lin the whole time, as if he was trying to see through him. “Alright then, tell me what you encountered in the Ancient Tai Chu Realm. Let’s start off with the important points first.”
The important points?
An Lin considered to himself for a moment before speaking, “I made three Return to Void Stage Blood Tribe mighty figures my slaves.”
“Pfff…” Emperor Ziwei spat out a mouthful of tea as he stared at An Lin with incredulity on his face.
An Lin nodded with a serious expression. “It’s true.”
“Tell me the specifics.” Emperor Ziwei took a deep breath to steady himself.
Thus, An Lin recounted how he was able to subdue the Blood Tribe mighty figures with his blood.
The reason why he chose to tell the truth was that he wanted a mighty figure to analyze his blood. After all, An Lin was a little concerned about the strange constitution he had, and he wanted to know more about it.
However, Emperor Ziwei was unable to find anything about the drop of blood that An Lin released for him to examine.
“Hmm… the Cassidy, Merlin, and Tobias you speak of are all extremely renowned mighty figures in the Blood Tribe. If they are willing to act as spies for the Heavenly Court, then that would be invaluable to us. I’ll send someone from the Heavenly Court to correspond with them, so you need not worry about that.” Emperor Ziwei’s heart was burning with even more curiosity as he urged An Lin to tell him more.
An Lin recounted how he had met Tina and Xue Zhantian. He then talked about his experiences in the Void Star Section after being transmigrated there by the Huge Starry Mountain. However, he refrained from mentioning the part where Tina had absorbed the fragment of the realm core and only told Emperor Ziwei that she had suddenly unleashed a mysterious energy to guide all the wandering spirits to the afterlife.
Emperor Ziwei was enraptured by his tale, and his face was full of shock and incredulity upon hearing An Lin’s experiences with the large whale.
“Sigh, what a complex, interspecies relationship…” Emperor Ziwei shook his head as he sighed with emotion.
An Lin’s lips twitched slightly. Why did that sound so suggestive?
However, he really did miss the little whale. The little whale had such a good personality, which had to have been inherited from him! He was worried that the large whale would lead the little whale down the wrong path…
After that, the majority of his discussion with Emperor Ziwei revolved around the three Blood Tribe mighty figures. They worked out a relatively conservative plan, which prioritized the safety of the three Blood Tribe mighty figures, before slowly devising a series of plans around them.
Thus, An Lin’s Ancient Tai Chu Realm adventure drew to an official conclusion as An Lin flew toward The United University of Cultivation atop his brick with Tina, Xiao Ze, and Xue Zhantian in tow to begin his schoolyard lifestyle again!

If I can deliver on all that is another question, but I will give it my best. As a further note, I am not using any of the usual strict realms and extreme power differences. It’s more about gathering and refining qi. Whoever uses his chances, sneak attacks, intuitions, and skills in a better way wins. However, having more or better qi will help, but I am not at a point where I have written a lot of that, so I might promise too much. Thanks for reading so far and checking my synopsis out, now you might give the story a try. Have fun. The picture is from JCK5D (Pixabay)

Abandoned by his abusive father at the far reaches of the world, Daegan may not have the powers of his ancestors but he refuses to die in banishment. Will he make it back home in time to prevent a brewing war? ------------------- This is a gritty drama-driven, rambling tale that presents mysteries early on that the characters work to unravel throughout the story. It swings between action, drama, and sometimes some darker comedy. Warning: A whole lot of profanity, alcohol, drugs, implied violence, actual violence and mega-violence—the kind that involves knives sliding into eye sockets and brains spilling onto floors—the usual stuff, scenes of intimacy, mercenaries, pirates, lots of moral ambiguity, including a wizard that likes to make tea with the heat sucked from his victim's bodies and a heap of world-ending monsters ready to eat people. _______________ Expectations: Updates every Monday and Thursday. Chapters will be between 2,000 and 5,000 words. I'm Irish and write in "Irish English" which is to say that I don't use much of the letter "z"
