Chapter 479: The Power to Destroy Heaven and Earth
Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations
Nie Hao stared at Ye Nantian with a dumbfounded expression before rubbing his eyes to find that this was still the same Ye Nantian, but he suddenly seemed more gallant and imposing somehow.
The general of the River Plain Nation soon settled his emotions and raised his longsword as he rallied his troops. “Quick! Take this opportunity to massacre all their soldiers! Don’t let Ye Nantian and his reinforcements get onto the city wall!”
All the soldiers and mutant beasts immediately heeded his call and charged toward this army that fell from the heavens.
Nie Hao also came to his senses, and he immediately issued a command, “Quick! Cover them so that they have a chance to make it back into the city!”
The enemy soldiers and mutant beasts totaled in excess of two thousand, which created a huge disparity between the eight hundred or so soldiers under Ye Nantian. Hence, it was imperative for them to retreat into the city first.
However, a cold sneer appeared on Ye Nantian’s face, and he seemed to have no intention of retreating. He raised his longsword into the air and roared to his soldiers. “This is the first battle that will establish the reputation of our Southern Heavenly Army! Charge!”
“Charge!”
The eight hundred or so soldiers wielded their Torrential Pear Blossom divine spears as they charged toward the opposing army.
The general of the River Plain Nation faltered slightly upon seeing this before chortling with glee. “Ye Nantian, you’re leading your army to their deaths! Let me stomp you all into the ground!”
“Ye Nantian, what the hell are you doing? You need to retreat into the city first so that we can work out a plan to counter their attacks!” Nie Hao yelled.
Ye Nantian smiled slightly. “This is the counterattack that will end the battle.”
The Southern Heavenly Army collided with the River Plain Nation army, but there was no heated battle.
All the River Plain Nation soldiers easily brushed aside like a knife through tofu!
The Torrential Pear Blossom spears wielded by the Southern Heavenly Army were like divine weapons around which revolved white vital energy. The spears didn’t even have to come into contact with the opposing soldier before they tore the soldiers in half!
All the River Plain Nation soldiers were completely stunned. Their weapons, armor, and shields were all torn apart like tofu under the attacks from the silver spears.

All the ferocious ant mutant beasts, ladybug mutant beasts, and caterpillar mutant beasts were also all completely torn apart by the fearsome spears. The mutant beast exoskeletons, which they took pride in, were like sheets of paper in face of the Torrential Pear Blossom spears.
The River Plain Nation general who was battling Ye Nantian turned to survey the battle with incredulity in his expression. “Those spears… Are they all divine tools!?”
“Hahahaha… That’s right! Die, you old dog!” Ye Nantian chortled as his sword intents swept toward Situ Lang like dragons.
“How did Ye Nantian obtain so many divine tools… ” Nie Hao muttered in shock.
On the ground below, the Southern Heavenly Army sliced through the mutant beasts and River Plain Nation soldiers as if this were an army comprised entirely of invincible soldiers.
All the mutant beasts and River Plain Nation soldiers were in shock. Their battle had only been raging for a short while, but blood was already flowing like a river, and most of it was their blood with very few casualties to the Southern Heavenly Army.
Just when they thought the battle was decided, dark clouds suddenly appeared overhead and thunder clapped in the sky.
A black praying mantis charged out from the dark clouds with a man in white robes clutched between its sickle-like front legs before chortling with triumph. “The number one most powerful being within the Bronze Nation, Wei Long, has already been slain by me! Are you still not going to surrender!?”
The praying mantis’ voice could be heard reverberating throughout the entire battlefield and countless soldiers turned their heads to look up at it.
Ye Nantian and Nie Hao’s expressions shifted drastically as they stared in shock at the lifeless, white-robed man.
“How could it be… Wei Long was defeated… He is the only divine rank master in our entire nation… ” Nie Hao muttered in disconsolate incredulity.
“It’s over. Who knew there would be a divine rank being among the mutant beasts. We have no chance of winning without Wei Long now.” Ye Nantian’s expression was filled with grief and indignation.
Their strength hierarchy was divided into four ranks—man, earth, heaven, and divine. Divine rank beings possessed enough power to influence a battle of thousands of soldiers. Ye Nantian had a chance to progress to divine rank in a few year’s time, but now…
“Kuku… If you won’t surrender, then I’ll eat you all… ” The black praying mantis let loose a sinister cackle before swallowing Wei Long before everyone’s eyes.

All the Bronze Nation soldiers and generals gritted their teeth as scorching rage burned within their eyes.
Joyous expressions appeared on the faces of the River Plain Nation soldiers in contrast. They could already see victory within their grasp!
“Hehe, you’re all kind enough to offer up so many good weapons too, don’t mind if I do… ”
The black praying mantis turned his gaze upon the Southern Heavenly Army with a greedy expression on his face.
Boom!
An extremely devastating aura burst forth from the black praying mantis’s body and it transformed into a black tornado that swept into the Southern Heavenly Army before going on a frenzied killing spree.
“Retreat!” Ye Nantian roared.
Right at this moment, the clouds in the sky began to surge.
A huge black brick broke through the clouds, and it obscured the entire sky with its massive width of twenty feet.
All the soldiers on the ground felt as if heaven and earth had suddenly gone dim.
Whoosh!
The black brick disappeared while a massive figure descended onto the ground, creating tremors with his two huge feet.
Everyone stared in shock at the gargantuan figure.
Some of the soldiers even dropped their weapons in fear as they stared blankly up at the giant. “G… Giant Godfiend?”
An Lin looked up at the black praying mantis in the sky with a smile. “I’m interested in the aura exuding from your body. Come here. We’ll have a good chat.”
Everyone was even more dumbfounded after hearing this. This f*cking Giant Godfiend could talk?!
The black praying mantis’ expression darkened as it charged toward An Lin with its scythe arms.
“Chat my a*s! It’s not like I haven’t killed Giant Godfiends before!”
Fearsome power burst forth from the black praying mantis’ claws as black saber projections flashed through the air with a sharp ringing before flying toward An Lin’s neck!
So fast!
Nie Hao and Ye Nantian’s hearts both skipped a beat.
“Stop fooling around.” An Lin chuckled as he slapped a palm toward the black praying mantis.
His palm flashed through the air, as quickly as lightning and imbued with vast aura. He didn’t even make contact with the black praying mantis. The gale-force winds whipped up by his palm was enough to crush the black saber projections before crashing into the praying mantis’ body.
“Ah… puah!” The black praying mantis wailed in anguish as it vomited blood and was knocked flying into the air.
All the soldiers below stared with incredulity at the praying mantis that had been knocked flying by a single palm.
This was a divine rank powerful being; how was the Giant Godfiend able to knock it away with just a single palm?!
This Giant Godfiend was countless times more powerful than the previous Giant Godfiends they had encountered.
“Retreat!” the River Plain Nation general roared as he led the retreat.
All the other soldiers and mutant beasts were also completely petrified by the terrifying Giant Godfiend; all of them began to retreat as if their lives depended on it.
However, what baffled them was that Ye Nantian’s soldiers did not look like they had any intentions of escaping. Were they not afraid of the Giant Godfiend?
Just as they were pondering over this issue, An Lin had already turned toward the mutant beasts before opening his mouth and spitting out a mouthful of saliva…
The saliva crashed down in an expanding wave, instantly drowning several hundred retreating mutant beasts before devastating energy burst forth, tearing all the mutant beasts into shreds…
All the soldiers drew sharp intakes of breath upon seeing this. One mouthful of saliva could wipe out an entire army? What kind of power was this?!
All the River Plain Nation soldiers had sh*t themselves from fear, but they still retreated as quickly as they could.
The divine rank praying mantis struggled to get up from the ground. It also tried to drag its severely-injured body away in retreat after seeing An Lin displayed his invincible might.
An Lin sneered coldly at the sight of the retreating praying mantis before pulling out a saber, which then extended to forty meters in length.
Everyone was once again in shock at the sight of the huge saber that seemed to be threatening to pierce through the heavens.
Ye Nantian muttered under his breath, “My god, how could a saber become so big?”
“Little mantis, I can give you a thirty-nine-meter headstart. But after that… you’re going to have to taste my saber,” An Lin threatened with a wicked smile.
The black praying mantis instantly pissed itself at the sight of the massive saber obscuring the light of day.
It immediately halted in its footsteps before kneeling down onto the ground. “Please spare me, Master Godfiend! I’ll chat with you about whatever you want, just please don’t kill me!”
With a satisfied smile, An Lin stowed his huge sword away. “Hehe, that’s a good mantis.”

my first story ^U^
author note: yaaa hurray it’s my first story ^U^ i hope you all like it! all characters belong to my special friends who submitted them!!ok heres the first chapter enjoy ^U^ TL note: Some of you may be wondering why I am translating a story written originally in English, to English. I remember reading this story many years ago, as a teen, and had since dismissed it as a bizarre fever dream. Only recently, through much Googling, did I manage to rediscover it, and as such decided to not only read it again, but fix the author’s many typing issues and share the context of what I remember from its original happening. I believe the story underneath to hold deeper meanings than its strange happenings, but at minimum I hope you will appreciate it for the sheer weirdness of it all. For the best experience, skim it for your first reading and, if you are interested, read more deeply the second time. Some typing is left as-is to preserve what I believe to be authorial intent, or at least necessary effect. If you notice any typing issues I managed to miss, please email them to me at [email protected]

Wulfgard: The Hunt Never Ends
In the civilized world of humans, 'monsters' have all but passed into legend. But when something goes bump in the night, when people begin to disappear, when a dark mystery begins to haunt even the most peaceful villages, there is only one organization to turn to: the Hunters. The Venatori. Having lived a life of discipline and service, former soldier Caiden Voros finds something even worse than the wars of humans: the monsters that hunt them. Horrors yet unknown even to him and his many scars await in the claws, talons, fangs, and mysterious powers of creatures so far beyond humans that he must dedicate himself entirely to the art of slaying them. Harboring a secret of his own and in a constant struggle to find answers while maintaining his sanity, however, Caiden begins to ask the age-old question... Who is truly worse, the monsters or the Men? Wulfgard: The Hunt Never Ends is an episodic collection of stories, each of which stand on its own, but they also build upon each other in a consecutive order, bridging a gap between a novel and short story collection. These stories follow monster hunter Caiden Voros and his partner Gwen Vergil as they embark on tales of mystery, horror, and adventure to track down monsters - the living dead, beast-men, shape-shifters, spirits, and many more - that would do harm to innocent lives and, by whatever means necessary, put a stop to their terrors. Their motives, however, are not always what they seem.

Interface
Welcome to the World-City of Thousel, the sixth iteration of life on the planet. These are the recordings of the people of Thousel. Thousel is believed to be the second longest iteration of life, and the overall most prosperous compared to what we know about the past five iterations. Medicine and technology have all progressed abundantly, and the world itself has been turned into one great city, governed and managed by the Governmental-Company Alliance, or the GCA.These particular recordings concern the discovery of a peculiar machine. When two very different people find themselves bound by the fate of one mysterious bot, life in the World-City begins to change… Interface is a cyberpunk webnovel set in an ecumenopolis world where people evolved with electro-sensory abilities. These senses shape the face of modern technology and life in a world where the three largest corporations run what has effectively become the government. Each of these three companies control various aspects of life in the city, and they all constantly vie for domain and power over one another. The world stands at the precipice of biological, technological, and historical breakthrough. After decades of study into microbiology, archaeology, and geology, it has been discovered that sentient life has lived on the planet multiple times over. These past peoples are referred to as the “prior iterations of life,” and it is believed that five great civilizations were constructed before the rise of the modern world. No one can be sure for certain what caused these peoples’ extinction long ago, and the theories range from simply dying off over time to massive tectonic fractures in the face of the planet. Advanced technology, far more complicated than anything the people possess today, has been uncovered in multiple locations. This has lead scholars to speculate on exactly how long each iteration of life survived and how far they progressed as a society. None of the companies have been able to find a way to make this ancient technology work for their own profit. It is as though they are each missing the final key needed to unlock these centuries old secrets. What could this knowledge reveal about the nature of life across every iteration? What power could it give to the one who wields it?Far from the investigation into the origin of life, two kids unlock a new mystery – one that ties their fates to the discovery of an old, mysterious robot. Suddenly, eyes begin to turn towards them as life in the city of Thousel changes wherever they go…
