Chapter 446: Even If You’ve Fled to the Ends of the World, I’ll Still Find You
Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations
An Lin had a dream. He dreamed that he was walking through an endless world of snow and ice by himself. He only had a pair of boxers on, and the biting cold of the wind and snow turned him into a Da Bai 1 .
It’s so cold…
Pain and agony shot through him as the bone-chilling cold lashed at his body.
The intense cold weighed down on him, and his steps became heavier and slower. Eventually, he was frozen into an ice statue.
A deathly cold slowly seeped into his sea of vital energy, causing it to congeal and freeze over. In the end, even his mind was about to freeze.
Everything became dull and hazy, and it was as though he was about to descend into eternal darkness.
Right at this moment, however, he suddenly saw a spark of light. This light wasn’t blinding. Rather, it appeared especially alluring.
A glowing female walked toward him.
Her appearance was stunning, and even her smile possessed a heart-warming power.
“An Lin, are you cold?” Her concerned voice sounded beautiful and heavenly.
An Lin really wanted to reply that he was indeed cold. However, he couldn’t utter a single word.
He had already been frozen into an ice statue; how could he speak?
Huh? This scene is so familiar…
That time on Earth, the system turned him into an ice statue after he refused to give the Zombie Goddess his first kiss.
Isn’t this like that time?
He was frozen into a large ice statue and had lost the ability to speak.
Although he couldn’t speak at that time, Xu Xiaolan had persevered and stayed by his side for numerous nights. Moreover, she persisted in transferring her flame energy into the ice block. That had warmed his body and his heart.
This scene was reminiscent of the past. However, there were also some differences.
Because this time, Xu Xiaolan directly melted the ice that entrapped An Lin. Her actions were crude and direct.
Not only that, Xu Xiaolan even pulled him into a gentle embrace. Her body warmth warmed up his entire body.

This happiness had come too suddenly, and An Lin felt as though he was in a dream.
“Sniff… Xiaolan, having you is so good. It’s so warm…”
The warmth traveled throughout his entire body and made him feel comfortable and relaxed.
This was an indescribable kind of warmth. The bone-chilling cold had been completely expelled from his body.
…
In a cave located in some snowy mountain, a sleeping male was currently murmuring softly. He kept mumbling things such as “Celestial Maiden Xiaolan” and “so warm”.
He only awakened from his deep slumber after four hours.
Upon opening his eyes, An Lin was greeted by the sight of jagged and uneven rock walls.
It was especially silent in here, and he could clearly hear the whoosh of the gale and snow outside.
“Huh? Xiaolan?”
He didn’t see Xu Xiaolan’s figure, so he called out at her.
There was no reply.
“Could it be that she went out to deal with something?” An Lin was a bit puzzled.
However, he suddenly realized that something was off.
“No! I remember that I was severely wounded by Qing Li’s remaining power. How come I feel so energetic and full of vigor now? It’s almost as if I’ve recovered completely!”
He hastily sat up and touched the spot where he had been wounded. A scab had already formed.
Something slid off his lap. There was also a piece of white paper.
An Lin was a bit dazed upon seeing the object.
Flame-Sealing Disc?
Didn’t I hand the Flame-Sealing Disc over to Xu Xiaolan? Why is it on me?
He picked up the Flame-Sealing Disc and the piece of white paper. On the piece of white paper, there was a note written in beautiful handwriting.
“Take the Flame-Sealing Disc back to Vermilion Bird Sect. Cultivate earnestly and strive to improve. Forget about me.”
An Lin’s hand started to tremble. His heart suddenly felt hollow and empty.
What does this mean? What on earth does this note mean?
Why does she want me to take the Flame-Sealing Disc back to the Vermilion Bird Sect? What about her?
Is she not returning?
Why is she telling me to forget about her?

After seeing the liquid stains on the piece of paper, a frightening thought spread into his mind.
He also started to become aware of the peculiarities inside his body. That abundant flame essence, that undying flame power fused into his bloodline… This was all very strange. Why did he possess these powers?
“Xiaolan, what have you done? Where have you gone?”
He was frightened and lost. It was as though a large hand was clenching his heart; it was as though he was about to face something extremely terrifying.
An Lin took out his voice transmission talisman and tried to contact Xu Xiaolan. However, he found that her aura had already been erased.
In other words, he had been blacklisted.
“There’s got to be a way… There’s definitely some other method…”
The rocks on the ground were crushed by An Lin’s vice-like grip. Countless thoughts flashed through his mind.
He suddenly raised his head. There was a slight glimmer in his eyes.
I’ve got it! I can use the Divine Simulation Technique!
This was a technique that he had received from the system after completing the mission which required him to defeat two enemies of the Return to Void Stage. He could draw upon the power of heaven and earth to deduce the truths of all matters according to the marks and traces left in the surrounding environment.
This kind of spell technique was heaven-defying. However, it was extremely taxing on one’s mind and couldn’t be used numerous times in quick succession.
It could be used a maximum of one time every month. Otherwise, it would damage one’s body or perhaps even consume their lifespan.
An Lin didn’t have a shred of hesitation. He immediately activated the Divine Simulation Technique!
Countless galaxies flashed across his eyes. Eventually, the realm that he was in flashed into his eyes.
In that instant, a colorless wave rippled out hundreds of kilometers.
A plethora of information flooded into his mind. From large-scale matters such as this heaven and earth’s climate and terrain to the minuscule matters such as the trajectory of every snowflake, current of all the airflow, and nature of every organism… everything regarding his surroundings became clear to him. An Lin started using this information to deduce the truth.
He discovered the traces of blood buried beneath the dirt of the cave—this blood didn’t belong to him. He discovered the traces of tears on the piece of white paper. He even discovered the new cells which had formed on his cut open and then healed wrist. He also identified what power was flowing through his body. This was the power of the Divine Phoenix Bloodline…
Qing Li’s frost poison, the power of the Divine Phoenix Bloodline, the crumbling on one’s Dao foundation…
The events that had transpired slowly became clearer in An Lin’s mind. His truth-deducing power allowed him to understand what had happened. He started shaking uncontrollably, and he felt as if someone had ripped his heart to shreds.
“What did I do to deserve your sacrifice? I’m not worthy…
“You’re so silly… Why are there girls as silly as you are?”
An Lin gritted his teeth and clenched his jaws. There was a look of unwavering determination in his eyes.
“Xiaolan, you’re trying to escape, aren’t you?
“I’ll find you. No matter where you go, I’ll find you!
“After finally wanting to pursue a Dao partner, isn’t it embarrassing for me if you dump me wordlessly?”
An Lin took a deep breath and carefully put the Flame-Sealing Disc as well as the note away. Then, he walked out of the empty cave.
What greeted his sight was an endless stretch of white. Frigid gales howled past, and the entire heaven and earth were barren and bland.
The Divine Simulation Technique could deduce the truths of all matters. These matters naturally included the trails of Xu Xiaolan’s escape…
An Lin gazed into the distance toward where heaven and earth met. That was the direction to Wind Plain State, a state of the Nine States that bordered the Holy Glacial Lands. This was the direction that Xu Xiaolan had flown off into.
An Lin stepped onto his black brick and flew into the endless world of white.
“Xu Xiaolan, you won’t be able to shake me off. Even if you’ve fled to the ends of the world, I’ll still find you!”

The Mystifying Diviner
Content warning, there is cursing in the story and there will be some pretty heavy sexual innuendos in it also. I don’t really plan to write gore, but there will be fight scenes. Fair warning to readers, it is a slow start. But hopefully it is enjoyable for you to read. Follow the story of an old chef who was lucky to be selected to become a system host. Well maybe not so lucky, because gaining the system killed him. He will be given a system that might not be the best match for him. While also having to deal with a snarky system monitor who might not be that helpful most of the time. He will also use his new found powers to enjoy life in a new younger body. What you can expect from this story is bad writing, poor grammar, and slow pacing maybe. Food, cooking, comedy, slice of life, fighting, exploring, tournaments, scamming and probably face slapping. I mean who doesn’t like a good face slapping? This is my take on a cultivation story, a lot of Eastern stuff will be crammed into with a mix of Western. This story started as a goal for myself to write 60,000 words in a month for NaNoWriMo. I was able to do it even with taking days off and not writing. I plan to keep writing the story, but at a slightly slower pace. I am aiming for 2-3 chapters a week now with about 4-7k words written. This is only posted on RoyalRoad currently, and I have no plans to change that for now. Cover art is by Jack0fheart [Participant in the 2021 Royal Road Writathon Challenge for the month of November 2021]

Truck-kun Gets Sacrificed
Driscoll is my own version of a world with a game-like "system" of endless possibilities. MC has his own status, classes, skills, magic, and a living greatswordstaff in a world of monsters, demi-humans of all kinds, and even the supernatural. Sound good? Well, at first for Tru, it was a dream come true(I'm sorry). At least until reality hits him again and again. His quest from God is vague and must be discovered by him along the way. Hopefully, he can figure that out someday but for now, this new world's threats and his potential for power are motivation aplenty. With His new partner by his side, he's ready to embark on his mission of infinite sacrifice, however many lives it takes. The setting is pretty standard for fantasy, with my beginner attempts at writing. Litrpg elements are definitely involved here but It'll calm down as the story progresses and the world's foundation is laid. Judeo/Christian themes and principles take a major role and will be a backbone for much of the story. The fights will paint a picture in the mind rather than just be a bunch of number crunching. While he is meant to be a sacrifice to save all of Driscoll, he needs to gain enough power and influence to be a worthwhile sacrifice, or so he thinks. And so carnage will ensue as he avoids death as best he can while at the same time sacking himself for others. Truck Coon is your average determined, jiu-jitsu practitioner, tax associate that just started his new career. He dies to save kids from a semi-truck(Truck Coon got truck-kun'd, making him Truck-kun) and is transported to another world rather conventionally by God. Upon his arrival, he is quickly confronted with his first conflicts in the wild. Give it a shot and let me know what you think. Chapters are currently between 2300 and 4000 words and I try to post weekly, but also deal with severe limitations that cause late posts often. I have zero actual experience with writing stories and only recently started reading web novels in 2020. If you end up hating it, let me know your thoughts in a detailed comment or review, especially if you love it though :D I want to get better and welcome the feedback, so expect changes to be made with any flaws that y'all point out which I don't already have plans to address in future chapters. That being said, keep it constructive in nature, please. I have no Idea how the formatting and such will go, so if you like or dislike some techniques I try, give me that well-appreciated feedback! Thank you for reading.
