Chapter 435: Disaster Strikes from the Sky
Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations
Tens of thousands of disciples poured forth their cheers and applause in celebration of Mo Hai’s successful holy light absorption.
Many of the disciples then turned sympathetic gazes upon Ji Yongfang, who was beginning to appear as if he were playing a tear-jerking role in a film.
“The holy flame was tired when he stepped onto the spell altar, how unfortunate.”
“I was feeling quite bad for Brother Mo Hai after An Lin absorbed so much holy flame energy, but I feel much better now..”
“Oi, what is Brother Ji supposed to think if he hears you say that.”
“He has already cried for the third time in front of tens of thousands of disciples, how pitiful.”
“I didn’t believe Mo Hai when he said Brother Ji was the number one crying prodigy of our Vermilion Bird Sect, but I’ve changed my mind now!”
“This degree of misfortune is almost comparable to Sister Shangguan Yi!”
“I know right, we have to hold in our laughter for his sake.”
“Alright, we’ll laugh tomorrow instead then…”
…
Ji Yongfang had been trampled into the ground by this series of misfortune, and he didn’t dare to attack An Lin anymore. All he wanted was for the ceremony to end quickly so that he could leave as soon as possible!
Meanwhile, Elder Ji was staring up at the holy flame with an intense expression, but he was unable to detect anything with his divine sense.
In the end, he could only sigh and shake his head before turning his gaze elsewhere.
Mo Hai returned to An Lin’s side while trying his best to suppress his laughter. “Nice one, bro, look at how miserable Brother Ji is, he’ll probably remember you for the rest of his life!”
An Lin rolled his eyes at Mo Hai. “I’m not taking any blame; he brought everything upon himself so you can’t fault me for anything.”
Ji Yongfang’s body swayed unsteadily when he heard this, and he took another few steps away from An Lin.

Mo Hai finally burst into laughter. “Alright, whatever you say.”
Great Elder Chen Xinran’s voice sounded once again, “Next up is Shangguan Yi, please step onto the spell altar!”
“Go, Sister Shangguan, we believe in you!” An Lin encouraged.
“Just relax, and don’t take this too seriously,” Lu Jiazhi chimed in.
Shangguan Yi nodded lightly to An Lin and the others. She was already mentally prepared for failure, so she wasn’t really all that nervous as she made her way toward the spell altar.
All the disciples turned their eyes upon the woman in the white dress.
The events which transpired when An Lin and Ji Yongfang took the stage were unexpected to all the disciples, but with Shangguan Yi, they had all learned to expect the unexpected, so much so that the disciples would find it weird if everything went without a hitch from here onward.
Even all the elders had their eyes glued to Shangguan Yi as they readied themselves for anything and everything.
“Elder Xiao, are there any weather abnormalities or peculiar energy fluctuations?”
“None. At least, I was unable to detect any abnormalities within a hundred-kilometer radius.”
“Elder Zhu, have you discovered any strange creatures approaching the area?”
“There were three mutant beasts within a twenty-kilometer radius from here, but I’ve burnt them all to death.”
“Elder Liu…”
…
Shangguan Yi released her high-grade Vermillion Bird Flame Wing before looking up at the Holy Vermilion Flame like a devout worshipper.
All the disciples couldn’t help but discuss among themselves quietly.
“Do you think Sister Shangguan Yi will receive the approval of the Holy Vermilion Flame?”
“It’s pretty unlikely, she has always had lousy luck after all…”
“And you guys are aware of this as well, her constitution rejects all flame power. How could someone with such a constitution receive the approval of the Holy Vermilion Flame?”
“You can’t say that for sure. After all, there have been so many mishaps throughout her life. If we manage to predict the outcome, then it wouldn’t be a mishap, so I think Sister Shangguan Yi will receive the approval of the holy flame!”

“Even if mishaps do occur, let’s hope it’s not something bad…”
“What mishaps could there be? Could the holy flame turn into holy ice instead?”
…
Right at this moment, the white holy flames trembled slightly as it began to branch outward.
An invisible force descended from the sky and drew the projection of the Vermillion Bird Flame Wing upward, where it was then engulfed by the holy flame!
All the disciples’ eyes lit up as excitement welled up in their hearts. Shangguan Yi… finally succeeded!
Shangguan Yi was like a beautiful white lotus blossoming in the sky at this very moment.
The rims of her eyes had turned red, and her breathing accelerated as she forced herself not to shed tears.
She had tried so hard and worked so tirelessly for so many years…
She loved the Vermilion Bird Sect more than anyone, and she wanted more than anyone to be able to use fire-type spell techniques.
She finally received the approval of the Holy Vermilion Flame! The holy light could spread flame power through her meridians and materialize the power of the holy flame within her sea of vital energy, thereby allowing her to use fire-type spell techniques!
The white holy flame began to stir as it prepared itself to rain down its holy light.
Right at this moment, the holy flame suddenly began to glow with an extremely brilliant light and the blinding white light lit up the entire night sky to make everything as clear as day.
Immediately afterward, the holy flame transformed into a huge holy sword over a kilometer in length which hung high in the sky.
Everyone was completely dumbstruck and at a complete loss.
Shangguan Yi’s body swayed lightly as pain welled up in her heart. Why couldn’t anything go right for her?
All the elders faltered initially before standing up in unison and unleashing their powerful auras. Among the elders which numbered in excess of twenty, ten of them had reached Return to Void Stage, and their collective aura was fearsome enough to make the heavens tremble.
The holy sword turned toward a certain spot in the air before stabbing forward.
Boom!
The white holy sword swept through the sky like a galaxy of stars before slicing a gash in the sky which extended for over fifty kilometers!
Over half the citizens of the Bai Hua State could see the fearsome sword cutting through the sky. It was so brilliant and eye-catching in the night sky, and it seemed to be imbued with unstoppable force as it threatened to set the entire sky alight with flames.
All the disciples stared blankly at the gigantic holy sword in the air.
A sense of unease welled up in An Lin’s heart, and he could feel an extremely fearsome power approaching the Vermilion Bird Sect.
He silently brought out his Evil-Slaying Sword and turned his eyes upon a certain spot in the air.
The huge sword vanished but not before it had cut a massive gash in the air. Blue blood slowly seeped out from the gash and a metallic scent wafted through the air.
“The Holy Vermilion Flame truly lives up to its name, to be able to slay the spatial immortal beast of our tribe with just one strike. But it was still too slow…”
A voice imbued with boundless might sounded between heaven and earth, evoking awe and reverence in all who heard the voice as if all living beings were mere ants in the face of the owner of the voice. This was the voice of a high and mighty monarch.
The gash slowly expanded from the initial several hundred feet to a massive black rift of almost ten kilometers wide.
From afar, it looked like a huge wound had been inflicted upon the sky above.
“Greetings, Vermilion Bird Sect, I’m here to borrow your Holy Vermilion Flame.”
Another cold voice sounded, which was also imbued with fearsome might, but a little younger and more tender.
An Lin’s pupils contracted drastically and waves of shock ran through his heart when he heard this voice.
What the f*ck! Them again?!

One Piece No Go No Ken
Work discontinued and ending. Other authors are free to message me if they want to take it A synopsis serves to attract attention without lying. This is useful because it gives a first impression of the novel, and immerse even before plunging into the story. Unfortunately, it does not count as one of my specialties. This fanfic is really peculiar and I think that few people will be able to appreciate it. So instead of trying to make you salivate, then have you disappointed, it would be better for you to make your own opinion, that is if you have time on your hands. If you do not like one piece or shounen animes, then you'd better turn back, as it would be a worthless read for you. If you've made it this far and have time to spare for yet one worthless attempt at making an original one-piece fanfic, then have a good read. N.B: I do not own one Piece or Fist of the north star, the image above, or any other anime/fictional character referenced in this fiction Please do not donate on this particular fanfic!
