Chapter 325: Big Brother Cheng’s Trump Card
Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations
Battle God Xu Ming’s invitation was like an exploding bomb thrown into a river. This was the first public statement Battle God Xu Ming had made regarding the recent events, and it reflected his determination to set an example through his own strength.
Not long after that, Sword Immortal An Lin also announced that he would arrive on the scene in ten days as proposed.
All the powerful beings in the Ao Xin Empire, as well as the entire Zhan Qi Continent, were in shock after hearing this. Xin Jing Mountain soon became the most sought after tourist destination in the whole continent as everyone was eager to witness perhaps the most thrilling battle in a hundred years!
The whole continent had maintained a few centuries of peace and now everyone finally had the opportunity to witness a battle between some of the most powerful beings in this world. The result of their battle would undoubtedly be recorded in the history books.
There were many people who were already gathering at Xin Jing Mountain in order to get front row seats for such a historic battle.
Bei Hong Empire, White Crane Lake Island.
A middle-aged man in a purple robe sat lazily atop a throne. As he blinked, a miniature scorching sun seemed to peer out from each of his eyes, giving onlookers a sense of danger and nerves.
“Zi Yang, aren’t you going to head to Jing Xin Mountain?” Head Advisor Lu Zeyu stood beside the throne and asked curiously.
“There’s nothing worth seeing. It’s a battle between two different levels of life forms. No matter how close they are in rank, there can only be one result as only as they haven’t reached Battle God rank.” A confident smile appeared on Battle God Zi Yang’s face. It was the smile of absolute confidence from a Battle God who had never been defeated before.
The Head Advisor hesitated momentarily before continuing, “I did some research on Sword Immortal An Lin and the Moonlight Holy Maiden and there’s unconfirmed news going around that the power they wielded was not Battle Qi, but instead the energy of heaven and earth…”
Battle God Zi Yang immediately opened his eyes.
Boom!
The projection of the sun appeared in mid-air.
Scorching heatwaves exploded outwards, causing the air around them to shimmer and warp and instantly evaporating all the water within the White Crane Lake.
“Tch, it was such a lovely lake too… Could you restrain yourself a little next time?” Lu Zeyu brought out a piece of Dark Ice Jade to cool himself down as he wiped the sweat from his forehead.
Battle God Zi Yang ignored his words of complaint and stood up with a blinding light shimmering from his eyes. “Let’s go to Jing Xin Mountain!”

Within the Snake Spirit Empire, everything was strangely peaceful. Aside from some discussions between the citizens of the empire, all the higher-level warriors remained unanimously silent. No one knew just what this silence signified.
On a bright and sunny afternoon.
An Lin and Su Qianyun finally managed to run into Xuanyuan Cheng on their fifth day in Jing Xin City.
“Big Brother Cheng! Haha, we finally found you!”
An Lin gripped him in a tight bear hug.
“Hehe, I’ve received news of your imminent battle with the Battle God as well. How could I not turn up to cheer you on?” Xuanyuan Cheng spoke with a warm smile on his face.
“Sigh, it’s my duty to rally everyone as the team leader. So what if I make the whole world my enemy if it’s for the sake of the team…” An Lin sighed with a serious expression.
Xuanyuan Cheng’s lips twitched as he stood silently and was at a loss for words.
Meanwhile, Su Qianyun immediately responded with a graceful smile, “The price of being a mighty and valiant leader is responsibility!”
“Well spoken!” An Lin looked at Su Qianyun with approval.
Su Qianyun smiled lightly, looking very pleased with herself.
Xuanyuan Cheng’s chest tightened at her words. Had classmate Su Qianyun been corrupted by An Lin?
…
“Tong Fu Inn will be our base, we’ll look for the remaining team members during the day and return to gather here at night, how about that?” Xuanyuan Cheng suggested as he sipped on a cup of wine.
An Lin nodded before a thought suddenly occurred to him. “Big Brother Cheng, aren’t you really good with spell formations? Why don’t you set up a large-scale spell formation that exudes vital energy in this inn? That way, when our team members are in the general vicinity, they’ll be able to track down the source of the vital energy to this inn.”
Xuanyuan Cheng’s eyes lit up. “That’s a great idea! No one can detect vital energy here on the Zhan Qi Continent. This can be an extremely obscure way of rallying up our team members!”
They immediately sprang into action. An Lin rented a few rooms in the inn while Xuanyuan Cheng began setting up a spell formation.
An Lin and Su Qianyun weren’t proficient with spell formations so they could only sit idly by and eat some sunflower seeds.
After the spell formation was completed, the surge of vital energy could be detected within a five-kilometer radius.
Of course, Jing Xin City was massive, so this wasn’t anywhere near enough to encompass the whole city.
Thus, An Lin, Su Qianyun, and Xuanyuan Cheng split up in three different directions to search for other team members.

All the way up until two days before An Lin’s battle, they had gathered Hu Guan and Yao Mingxi while Xu Xiaolan found her way to the inn by following the vital energy fluctuations.
Thus, six of the ten members had been assembled with four still on the loose.
An Lin wasn’t worried about Liu Qianhuan and Tang Ximen. No one could touch them as long as they didn’t go and challenge a Battle God. However, there was still no news of Tian Lingling and White Spirit Snake, which was quite concerning to An Lin.
Theoretically speaking, after all the fuss he had kicked up, the remaining four members should definitely know he was at Jing Xin City as long as they were in the same world. But they had done a complete search of Jing Xin City and was still unable to find them; this was extremely perplexing.
An Lin repressed his confusion and gathered everyone at the inn to discuss his upcoming battle with the Battle God.
Yao Mingxi’s eyes were shining with a fanatic light. “Big Brother An, I think you should just battle Battle God Xu Ming fair and square and stamp him into the ground. Your name will be renowned throughout the whole world, and you’ll be immortalized in the history books, how cool would that be?”
Hu Guan also nodded in agreement. “Right, then after that, you should whip Battle God Zi Yang and Battle Goddess Bi Qiong into submission as well and become the ruler of this world!”
An Lin: “…”
In the eyes of his two retarded superfans, he was invincible and it was only right that he became the ruler of this world.
Xu Xiaolan was a little more rational in her approach. “We don’t know the strength of a Battle God. If he’s only Soul Formation Final Stage, then you and Su Qianyun still have a chance. But if he’s any stronger than that, then it’s far too dangerous. It’s not like you have to battle him anyway, so there’s no point in going…”
Xu Xiaolan’s intentions were quite clear. Their objective was the Shou Yang Tomb instead of becoming the ruler of this world. He could just leave the Battle God hanging. It was important to know when to fight and when to avoid battles. Her suggestion was that he should focus on finding all the team members and search for the inheritance of the Shou Yang Tomb instead of engaging in risky battles.
A thoughtful expression appeared on Xuanyuan Cheng’s face. “The Ao Xin Empire should have a wealth of information and resources. I think it’d be beneficial to us if we could take all this for ourselves. Perhaps there will be some information on the tomb, so I think it might be a good idea to strike tonight and take him by surprise. Six vs one is always better than two vs one after all.”
His intentions were quite clear as well.
Screw this pre-arranged nonsense, just gather everyone up and f*ck the Battle God over first.
An Lin stroked his chin in deep thought.
This Battle God was clearly trying to lure him out and kill him. After all, as the ruler of an empire, a powerful rogue that was constantly stirring up troubles was akin to a thorn in the side. If he could kill An Lin, not only would he be able to settle all the turmoil and unrest, but also set an example to the world.
He had done some research on Battle Gods in the past few days. According to historical records, normal Battle Sages were cannon fodder who could be insta-killed by Battle Gods, whereas warriors at the pinnacle of Battle Sage rank would be able to last a few moves but would still fall to one of the more powerful techniques from a Battle God. However, there were no records of Battle Gods being able to manipulate space as Return to Void mighty figures could, so that was at least one positive that could be derived.
“If we can really defeat the Battle God, then everything would become a lot easier for us moving forward.”
“Battle God Xu Ming is currently at the Jing Xin Mountain, but we’re still unable to gauge his strength so we don’t know if we can defeat him for sure even in a six vs one battle.” An Lin was clearly a little hesitant.
A sly smile appeared on Xuanyuan Cheng’s face. “How about if we use an atomic bomb with an explosive force equivalent to ten million tons of TNT?”
An Lin, Xu Xiaolan, and Su Qianyun all shuddered at his suggestion.
They had seen what a ten million ton level atomic bomb was capable of. It had wiped the colossal nest of the Ant Tribe off the face of the continent in an instant.
Who would have thought that Xuanyuan Cheng now owned another one of those? This was nothing short of a doomsday weapon!
“This is something that I exchanged a lot of spirit stones for and it’s my biggest trump card, so how about it?” Xuanyuan Cheng prompted excitedly.
An Lin’s face twitched slightly. Since when did Big Brother Cheng’s trump card become an atomic bomb…
After a moment’s hesitation, he finally made a decision.
“Alright, then let’s give this Battle God Xu Ming a taste of Earth technology!”

This is the story of Scyria, a world with a lost past buried beneath millenia. But as both the Earthlings and Scyrians are about to find out, sometimes the past doesn’t stay buried forever... I marked the story as having Gore, Sexual Content, and Traumatising content because it does contain a bit of all three, though not what I believe is a significant amount. Just wanted to be safe. It does contain a whole lot of profanity, though. That one is very much deserved.
