Chapter 305: Where Did Dad Go
Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations
“Heehee, I sure am, I’m so excited to finally have the opportunity to meet you!”
White Spirit Snake’s excited voice sounded from the phone.
An Lin sighed lightly and elaborated on the location they were meeting at in five days before hanging up by force. It was “by force” because White Spirit Snake was still gushing relentlessly even after he hung up. If he continued to talk to her, he would probably get nothing done all day.
A worried expression appeared on his face after hanging up the phone.
The team of ten that was to enter the Shou Yang Tomb had finally been finalized.
The two cultivators selected from the mortal world gave him a huge surprise.
He had initially thought it would at least have to be Spirit Nurturing Stage cultivators that would be granted entry, but the Heavenly Court’s selections completely went against his expectations by choosing two Dao Body Stages cultivators.
Tian Lingling had great aptitude, that was something An Lin was always aware of. But wasn’t White Spirit Snake just a seventh stage Dao Body noob? Wouldn’t she just drag everyone down?
Sigh, it looked like he would have to divert a lot of his attention to protecting them once they entered the tomb.
With this in mind, a sense of responsibility as the team leader began to well up in his heart.
Tian Lingling, who had regained her composure after receiving the earth-shattering news, began to crunch on a packet of chips in front of the TV. She tucked her petite legs under herself, and her cheeks expanded as she stuffed chips into her mouth, giving her the appearance of a squirrel hoarding food.
Dongfang Xue blinked her pretty eyes but didn’t say anything. She knew that some things simply could not be disclosed to her so she very thoughtfully remained silent and brought out a fruit platter for An Lin and the others to enjoy.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable night for everyone.
Dongfang Xue had a few spare rooms in her mansion, two of which were occupied by An Lin and Tian Lingling that night.
An Lin also asked for a laptop from Dongfang Xue with the excuse of wanting to browse the Internet.
Dongfang Xue didn’t think too much of it and loaned her own laptop to him.
In the deathly silence of the night.
An Lin and Da Bai gathered together. Both of them were breathing a little heavily.
“Big Brother An, you’re telling me you can find nude images of hundreds of beautiful women in this little machine?” Da Bai pointed at the laptop nervously.
“That’s right, don’t underestimate human intelligence. I can even find nude videos of countless beautiful women on here, let alone a few still images!” An Lin promised.
“Are videos those moving images on the TV? Oh my God, how are there so many beautiful women?! Woof!” Da Bai stared at the laptop screen with his huge eyes opened wide, and his tongue rolled out involuntarily.

“That’s right, this world is never lacking in goddesses who bless single men with their nude images and videos.”
“And single dogs as well, woof!”
“This is like a romantic story that transcends beyond borders and species.”
“It’s unconditional love, woof!”
Thus the two of them watched excitedly as a series of nude images of beautiful women began to appear on the screen.
Sola Aoi, Yui Hatano, Maria Ozawa, Tsubasa Amami, Miku Ohashi, Kirara Asuka, Maki Hojo, Serina Harikawa…
“Holy f*ck! All these women are so hot! Woof!”
“Of course, I hand-picked them for you with care.”
“This one is so busty, I want a video of her! Woof!”
“Alright… Let me download for you now…”
“Wow, this one’s so hot, I want a video of her too, woof!”
“Alright alright…”
…
This was a thrilling night. Da Bai had never seen so many moving nude beauties in his life. He was full of praise toward the culture on Earth and was very glad that he had made the decision to come to Earth to broaden his horizons.
The next morning.
Dongfang Xue prepared a beautiful breakfast with dumplings, stuffed buns, and noodles; all of which were extremely delicious.
Tian Lingling, An Lin, and Da Bai had an extremely satisfying meal.
It was such a great fortune to have a friend who could cook. One had to realize that eating was one of the greatest joys of life, and Dongfang Xue was able to fulfill that joy to perfection.
After their delicious meal, An Lin rode on Da Bai and set off for the capital city once again.
He was eager to visit his father again after his hasty departure the day before.
Thus, the destination he chose this time was still the North Mist Mountain.
As for Tian Lingling, she decided to stay at Dongfang Xue’s house and relax for a few days there.
The spell formation opened on the North Mist Mountain, and a man on a dog descended from the sky.
“Mr. An Lin, what a pleasure it is to see you again. Would you like to chat and drink tea again?” A middle-aged man joined his hands in saluted and approached An Lin with a smile.
This person was none other than An Mingchuan’s mentor, Cui Zhe. An Lin had made a hasty departure the day before, and he had not had a chance to chat with An Lin ever since. Now that the opportunity was presenting itself to him, he was naturally eager to grab it with both hands.
“Sure, I’ll call up my dad and we can all have a chat together,” An Lin replied excitedly.
Cui Zhe was slightly taken aback by his words. “Um, didn’t Mingchuan tell you that he was off to carry out a mission?”
“What? My dad’s on a mission? What mission?!” An Lin blinked his eyes in shock.

His father was only at the fifth stage Dao Body and should be staying at the North Mist Mountain to cultivate, what was he doing going on a mission?
Cui Zhe smiled lightly. “The National Special Operations Department would often post up missions related to the cultivation world. These missions are not forced upon anyone. You can choose whether to accept them or not. Your father has been deployed on a mission to survey the vital energy abnormalities observed at Changbai Mountain. Major General Cheng Ying is leading the team, and it’s not a dangerous mission so you can rest easy.”
“It’s related to Changbai Mountain?” An Lin asked with furrowed brows.
This was not a dangerous mission to everyone else, but he was aware of the underlying factors at work. These were abnormal phenomena triggered by the opening of a Celestial Immortal’s tomb. There were simply too many things that could potentially go wrong for An Lin to be unconcerned.
“Uncle Cui, I’ve decided to go to Changbai Mountain to survey the situation first, we’ll have some tea together another time.” An Lin hesitated for a moment before bidding farewell to Cui Zhe.
“Hey, hey, wait…” Cui Zhe made an attempt to keep An Lin.
However, An Lin had already leaped onto his dog and disappeared without a trace into the clouds.
“Ha, it’s just a normal mission, there’s no need to be so nervous… but come to think of it, Mingchuan really has a good son.” Cui Zhe sighed with envy and returned to the pavilion to drink tea by himself.
Changbai Mountain was the holy mountain for the culture of the Manchu ethnic group, and it was also a mountain which sat on the border of the Hua Nation and the Gaoli Nation.
Within a vast expanse of mountains, there was a completely secluded village.
A few dozen villagers growled under their breaths and lunged at a group of people with a crimson light in their eyes.
Although the villagers all appeared to be dull and lifeless, their movements were extremely quick and powerful, making each of them possess power akin to a ferocious beast. If they activated their muscular power to the extreme, they could ram a bull to death just by charging at them.
But the small group consisting of fifteen people didn’t seem to fear these deranged villagers, and they pulled out their weapons in preparation for a battle.
Vital energy rippled, and all of them were like peerlessly powerful fighters as they easily broke through the barrage of a few dozen villagers before slaying them on the spot.
“Ah!” One of the women in the group was suddenly knocked aside by a deranged villager.
Immediately afterward, two of the villagers spread open their black claws and pounced onto the girl on the ground.
Right at this moment, a blue sword projection flashed past, and the two villagers were frozen into a pair of ice statues.
“Lu Xue, are you alright?”
A handsome middle-aged man extended a hand with a warm expression and helped the woman up from the ground.
“I’m alright, thank you, Big Brother An.” Lu Xue’s face was slightly red as she looked at the man in front of her gratefully.
She was at the seventh stage Dao Body cultivation base, but in the face of these deranged villagers, An Mingchuan’s performance was much more exceptional than hers, despite the fact that he was only fifth stage Dao Body. The reason for this disparity was not only because of his Blue Frost Sword, but a large part of this was also due to his ability to remain calm under pressure.
The overall combat strength of this small team was quite strong and fifteen cultivators were no slouches either. Thus, the deranged villagers were soon quelled.
A brawny man with a serious expression surveyed the auras emitted by the villagers, and his brows knotted together with concern.
“This is a top-grade zombie infection, the cultivator that spread the poison is very powerful. We need to request assistance from the higher-ups!”
“General Cheng, can’t you deal with them?” Lu Xue was a little shocked.
Cheng Ying was a Spirit Nurturing Intermediate Stage cultivator, and he was one of the top cultivators even within the National Special Operations Department. For someone as powerful as him to request reinforcements, just how strong were their enemies?
Cheng Ying shook his head. “This type of zombie poison can enable those who were infected to increase their strength by about a dozen times. The being that spread the poison is definitely a Zombie King. We can’t face it without making preparations!”
A top-level Zombie King?
A chill ran down everyone’s spines. If their enemy really was a top-level Zombie King, only Cheng Ying would have a chance to escape in a direct battle; everyone else would stand no chance.
Right at this moment, An Mingchuan’s phone began to ring.
“Little Lin, why are you calling me all of a sudden?”
“I’m doing a mission at the moment.
“What? Send a location to you?
“No, this mission is very dangerous, we’re already calling for reinforcements.
“You’re really strong? Quit flexing to me!”
…
An Mingchuan’s conversation was heard by everyone around him, and they all looked at him curiously.
In the end, An Mingchuan hung up in resignation.
He sent his location through WeChat before making his way over to Cheng Ying. “General Cheng, my son says he’s going to help us so we won’t need reinforcement and that he’d kill our enemy even if our enemy is a god.”
Cheng Ying: “…”
