Chapter 303: Going to Idol’s House
Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations
No matter how much he complained, An Lin was still the team leader designated by the Heavenly Court, so he had to bail Tang Ximen out no matter what.
“Sigh… this is all just fate.”
An Lin shook his head and lamented as he set off for Xia Province on Da Bai’s back.
Within a certain special detention center in Xia Province, An Lin met the two perpetrators.
Tang Ximen’s sleeve had been torn, and there was a shallow wound running from his arm to his chest.
The sect leader of the Hua Mountain Sect was a man named Wu Feng. He had wounds on his calves as well as his arms, and his clothes had been shredded to ribbons, giving him the look of an experienced beggar.
According to the relevant department, the total damage they had caused amounted to fifty thousand spirit stones in reparations that needed to be paid. Both of them were equally at fault so each of them had to pay twenty-five thousand spirit stones.
Tang Ximen only had twenty thousand spirit stones on him, so An Lin had to fork out five thousand spirit stones, and on top of that, he had to stay behind to listen to a series of long lectures.
The person delivering the lectures was a representative of the National Special Operations Department.
Not only did Tang Ximen and Wu Feng have to listen to the lectures, but even An Lin also copped a spray, despite having done nothing wrong.
After a long while, he finally managed to bail Tang Ximen out.
As for Wu Feng? He didn’t have that much money, so he had to remain at the detention center until someone bailed him out.
All the elders from the Hua Mountain sect were greatly enraged by the actions of their sect leader and decided to leave him at the detention center for about half a month before even considering bailing him out.
Time flashed past, and it was already dusk.
When An Lin re-emerged from the detention center and saw the sun again, tears flowed down his face as he felt like he had been reborn. He raised his arms into the air and hollered with all his might.
“F*ck the team leader role!”
Tang Ximen: “…”
An Lin had a very eventful day. He copped a spray three times from Huang Shanshan, went to two detentions centers and traveled through half of the Hua Nation…

Such an eventful day truly moved him to the point of tears!
“Team Leader An Lin, I’m really sorry about what happened today.” Tang Ximen bowed in apology.
Even though his clothes were slightly torn, he still retained his graceful disposition and appeared like a majestic prince from ancient times.
An Lin waved his hand. “This is all part of my job as the team leader. But I have to ask, how did meeting an old friend lead to a fight like this?”
Tang Ximen chuckled awkwardly. “I wanted to discuss cultivation observations with Wu Feng and have a little match on the side. However… the sparring match spiraled a little out of control…”
An Lin was caught in a daze, then massaged his brows at a complete loss for words.
Tang Ximen looked like a graceful and elegant prince, for him to be unable to hold himself back in a sparring match was simply unimaginable. An Lin had previously thought that he looked quite reliable, but now he would think twice before ever judging a book by its cover again.
Tang Ximen departed after chatting with An Lin for a short while to visit another one of his old friends.
An Lin immediately clasped Tang Ximen’s hands in his own and pleaded with him to be the graceful prince that he looked like and to embody the mantra of words before actions.
An Lin watched as Tang Ximen departed with uneasiness, unsure if he had actually taken his words to heart.
Tian Lingling sat against Da Bai’s back, swinging her well-proportioned little leg under the lingering dusk sun, appearing extremely content.
“Fake Daoist Priest, Big Sister Dongfang received news of your return and wanted me to ask you if you want to visit her and have a meal together,” she suddenly spoke as she played with her phone.
An Lin’s body trembled in excitement as the happiness only a retarded superfan could experience welled up in his heart.
Dongfang Xue’s beautiful voice lingered in his mind to this very day.
This was probably what they meant when they said the only direction one could travel from rock bottom was up. His idol was inviting him for dinner, hehe…
“So I’m gathering from your expression that you’re accepting her invitation?”
Tian Lingling rolled her eyes and snapped as she looked at the foolish smile on An Lin’s face.

“Of course! How can I refuse an invitation from Calm Celestial Maiden herself?” An Lin responded with a solemn expression.
Tian Lingling pursed her petite lips and fell silent. Soon, they were both flying on dogback toward Dongfang Xue’s house.
An Lin downloaded all the new Dongfang Xue’s songs from the past two years on to his phone and listened to them on the way to her house. Her songs were still just as pleasing to the ear, and he soon became entranced in the flowing music.
Dongfang Xue’s house was a mansion by the side of a river. The scenery was exquisite, and one could see the mass of skyscrapers on the other side of the river through the window.
The luxury of the city and the calmness of the river did not conflict with one another. Instead, it juxtaposed to create a harmonic combination.
An Lin and Tian Lingling descended on Da Bai’s back to find Dongfang Xue, who was wearing a light brown dress, was waiting for them at the front door.
Her figure was lithe and graceful, and her skin was as fair as snow. Her eyes rippled like water as she looked up at the man in the air with a slight smile.
“Mr. An Lin, long time no see.” Dongfang Xue waved and smiled.
“Calm Celestial Maiden, it’s my honor to be able to taste your cooking. I’ve been missing this taste every day for the past two years.” An Lin leaped down from Da Bai’s back and waved back excitedly.
Dongfang Xue covered her mouth and chuckled lightly. “Just one meal was enough for you to remember every day for the past two years? If nothing else, your way with words has certainly improved in the past two years.”
“Big Sister Dongfang, that’s nothing, you should how thick his skin is now.” Tian Lingling latched onto Dongfang Xue’s arm with a smile.
“I’m telling the truth. I’ve gone to so many renowned restaurants in the Kingdom of the Nine States, but none of the food could match up to your cooking.” An Lin ignored Tian Lingling’s jibes and continued sincerely.
An immortal chef was an extremely sought-after occupation in the Kingdom of the Nine States. All of them relied on their skills to earn big money from the tycoons of the cultivating world. Dongfang Xue’s cooking really was top-notch in An Lin’s opinion.
The only thing limiting her was that there were scarcely any high-quality ingredients on Earth. If she were to go to the Kingdom of the Nine States and become a chef there, she would definitely be rich in no time.
Hmm, perhaps Dongfang Xue’s singing had impeded her from pursuing her true calling as a chef.
Dongfang Xue couldn’t help but chuckle lightly at An Lin’s sincere expression.
Regardless of whether she believed it or not, she was still quite happy to receive such a compliment. She immediately invited Tian Lingling and An Lin into her home, and a huge dog also trailed behind them.
The rich scent of delicious dishes wafted throughout the room, causing An Lin’s stomach to growl with hunger. Drool had even begun to drip out of Da Bai’s mouth, giving him the look of a starving wolf.
There was a whole table of sumptuous dishes laid out in front of them. Just their appearance alone was enough to drastically increase the onlooker’s appetite. A lot of the dishes also had energy rippling within, and An Lin could tell a lot of precious ingredients had been used.
He could tell that Dongfang Xue had prepared the meal with a lot of care and thought. With this in mind, he produced a green spirit pill and handed it to her.
“Mr. An Lin, what are you…?” Dongfang Xue was a little surprised by his gesture.
“We’re old friends, I have to give you a gift to commemorate our reunion. This is an Evergreen Youth spirit pill, it can clear up your skin and revitalize your muscles, I hope you’ll accept my gift.” An Lin offered sincerely.
“Aw, you didn’t have to!”
“You have to accept this, we’re old friends already so you can’t refuse a gift from me!”
Thus, Dongfang Xue “reluctantly” accepted the spirit pill with a slight smile on her face, clearly extremely pleased with the spirit pill.
Tian Lingling’s lips twitched as she looked on from the side. She suddenly recalled the encounter with Huang Shanshan.
An identical pill with identical lines…
Holy sh*t, could An Lin’s skin be any thicker!?
Thus, the three people and one dog dug into the delicious feast.
