Chapter 204: Sufferers Of The Same Fate
Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations
Liu Qianhuan blinked before saying with a serious expression, “I feel like we’ve fallen into a trap.”
An Lin grimaced and slapped his forehead. “This isn’t a matter of feeling anymore, it’s pretty damn obvious that we have!”
Within the Pearl Pagoda, there was absolutely nothing aside from the bare ground and walls.
There weren’t even any higher levels, and the whole space was empty as empty could be.
There wasn’t even a shadow of a holy grail here, it was just flat out a cage.
“Sigh, I got too complacent. I detected no killing intent so I made the rash decision to enter, but I didn’t anticipate that this might be a trap set by our enemies.” Wang Xuanzhan furrowed his brows in self-criticism.
“It’s OK, it’s just a tower. I’m sure we can break it open with our combined strength!” An Lin encouraged everyone.
Following this, he brought out his Evil-Slaying Sword and began to slash at the walls of the Pearl Pagoda.
Slash! Slash! Slash!
The Evil-Slaying Sword was extremely sharp, but it did not leave so much as a trace on the walls of the tower.
“Mountain Quaking Fist!”
An Lin switched to an immortal spell instead.
Boom!
Golden light crackled and exploded forth, but the wall remained unscathed.
“F*ck, it’s this solid? Do I have to use my Nuclear Lightning Fist?” An Lin’s fighting spirit was provoked as his expression cooled.
Upon hearing his words, Wang Xuanzhan and Liu Qianhuan immediately gripped An Lin’s arms.
“Classmate An Lin, please don’t be rash!” Wang Xuanzhan dissuaded him with an anxious expression.
“An Lin, even if you want to surrender, don’t use this kind of masochistic technique! It hurts like hell!” Liu Qianhuan implored.
Having seen just how terrifying the Nuclear Lightning Fist was, Wang Xuanzhan and Liu Qianhuan knew that regardless of whether it could break through the tower, there was to be only one end result for them, and that was mass elimination.
In order to prevent An Lin from doing anything stupid, Wang Xuanzhan and Liu Qianhuan began to experiment in his stead.
Wang Xuanzhan’s unleashed his Lightning Dragon Domain to its fullest extent, sending powerful spears of lightning crashing into the walls, causing the whole tower to tremble as electricity ran through its walls.
Liu Qianhuan’s Final Spark rained down on the walls, and the resulting shockwaves even forced An Lin to retreat a few steps, but it was still unable to break open the tower.

They did not give up and continued to unleash powerful immortal spells, causing the tower to rumble and quake.
A short while later, both of them lied down on the ground, panting heavily while displaying enraged expressions.
“This tower is even harder than a tortoise’s shell!” Wang Xuanzhan exclaimed angrily.
Liu Qianhuan did not want to say anything. Instead, she pulled out her phone from her storage ring.
…
In the air above the Zhong Long mountain ranges, three people with white wings flew by slowly while constantly surveying the surroundings around them. The sun shone on their bodies, which radiated a faint holy glow.
These three were none other than Augus, Shirley, and Arthur from the Garden of Eden.
“Augus, there’s a white tower up ahead, do you think there will be holy grails in there?” Shirley’s eyes lit up as she pointed at the glowing white tower in the distance with excitement.
“For a tower to appear in such an eye-catching location, I have a feeling it might be a trap.”
Augus stared at the tower in the distance with furrowed brows.
“Well, it’s always better to have a target rather than just wander about aimlessly, let’s go have a look there anyway!” Even if there was a trap, they should be able to escape with their strength anyway.
Shirley also nodded in excitement. “I agree!”
Thus, there was a two to one vote.
The three of them began to fly toward the white tower.
Soon, they had flown to the location directly above the tower.
The three of them descended down to the entrance of the tower where a barrier of rippling water prevented them from being able to see inside the tower.
They crossed through the barrier into the tower, each and every one of them on high alert.
And then, they were all stupefied.
Yes, all six of them!
“Sh*t, we’ve been ambushed by the Heavenly Court!”
Arthur immediately drew his longbow with a panicked expression.
All three of the Heavenly Court representatives looked at him with a sympathetic expression.
An Lin shook his head and sighed. “Bruh, please look closely. Who the f*ck would set an ambush without even having their weapons at the ready?”
He pointed to Liu Qianhuan who had resumed playing on her phone as he spoke, “Check out her state of mind, do you think she looks like someone that’s trying to ambush anyone?!”
Arthur: “…”
Augus had come to a realization of what had happened and sighed heavily. “It looks like we’ve all been screwed over.”

Shirley gritted her teeth tightly. “The Buddhist Kingdom representatives definitely wouldn’t do something like this, so it has to be those bastards from the Hall of Creation!”
Outside the Pear Pagoda, the three Hall of Creation representatives rushed out abruptly from the patch of tall grass in which they had been hiding.
“Gather!” Huang Shan made a seal with his hands and the huge tower flashed with white light before shrinking drastically to sit in the middle of his palm.
“Hahahaha, all our strongest competitors have been trapped! We’ll be the champions for sure now!” Hong Dou chortled with glee as his prior distress completely vanished.
Boom!
A bolt of golden lightning struck Hong Dou’s head.
Hong Dou’s head was charred black as tears welled up in his eyes, instantly putting a stop to his gravelly laughter.
Huang Shan glared at him coldly. “You wanna laugh again?”
Dong Yan spoke excitedly, “Now that both the Heavenly Court and Garden of Eden’s representatives have been trapped, we can focus on searching for the holy grails now.”
Huang Shan nodded. With their collective might, they should be able to crush the two remaining Buddhist Kingdom representatives.
All they had to do was to collect the holy grails.
“Hold the Pearl Pagoda and constantly keep a grasp of what’s happening in there. Notify me immediately if there’s something amiss.” Huang Shan tossed the Pearl Pagoda at Hong Dou.
Hong Dou accepted the Pearl Pagoda carefully. Although this high tier spirit tool was extremely strong and couldn’t be broken even by an attack from a Soul Formation Stage cultivator, it was always better to be safe than sorry.
He released his divine sense to detect what was happening within the tower only to find that the interior of the tower was vibrating violently, suggesting that it was clearly under attack.
“Hehehe, struggle all you want, but you won’t be able to break through the tower’s defenses with such pitiful attacks! I just love seeing you guys struggling with all your might to no avail.” Hong Dou chuckled as he held the Pearl Pagoda with a satisfied expression.
At this moment, inside the Pearl Pagoda.
The Garden of Eden representatives finally ceased their attacks as they panted heavily with enraged expressions.
Everyone stared at each other. All of them were at a complete loss for what to do.
Everyone was trapped here, so the first priority was to figure out how to get out of the tower. Hence, a truce automatically ensued as everyone began to discuss options.
However, after much discussion and experimentation, they were still unable to find a way out.
Thus, Liu Qianhuan became bored again and resumed playing on her phone.
Shirley was getting quite bored too and sidled up to Liu Qianhuan, clearly very interested in the toy in her hands.
There was no way Liu Qianhuan would let a playmate like her slip by and she immediately dragged Shirley down into the depths of depravity with her. She then proceeded to emphatically abuse Shirley in the game, successfully securing glory for the Heavenly Court.
An Lin couldn’t help but wince at the sight of Shirley copping a hiding at the hands of Liu Qianhuan.
After a few matches, tears began to well up in Shirley’s blue eyes as her cheeks began to turn red. She threw the phone down in anger. “What a crappy toy!”
“Hey… don’t be like that. How about I give you a handicap? I’ll let you take advantage of ten lives!” Liu Qianhuan immediately tried to dissuade her new playmate from giving up on the game.
A handicap of ten lives?
Shirley’s body trembled slightly as she felt like she had just been insulted, but she still did not have the confidence to accept the challenge…
“Can I ask you a question? Why is the character you’re using so much stronger than mine?” Shirley asked after much internal conflict.
“Cos I’m strong of course!” Liu Qianhuan explained as if she was elaborating something obvious. “Your question is like asking why can’t you beat Augus in a fight, it’s because he’s stronger than you!”
Shirley nodded in semi-comprehension. She turned her attention back to the League of Valor game on the phone and declared with determination. “If that’s the case, then I have to beat you! I believe that as long as I work hard enough, I’ll definitely be stronger than you!”
Thus, Shirley and Liu Qianhuan resumed their battle.
An Lin looked at Shirley with an expression of sympathy. He wanted to say to her: Poor child, can’t you see? Your understanding of whether a character is strong or not is completely built on what Liu Qianhuan has told you!
Of course, as An Lin was praising Liu Qianhuan in heart for winning glory for the Heavenly Court through her gameplay, he also chose to forget a certain flag.
