Chapter 186: A Misunderstanding
Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations
In the end, An Lin went away with Yu Hua’s warning clear in his mind.
He was already exhausted after battling Hong Dou twice and had no more interest in being looked after by Liu Qianhuan, so he returned to his living quarters and soon fell sound asleep.
The next day, a group of people was wandering around in the schoolyard, attracting countless eyeballs and causing a bit of a sensation.
All of them had fine and smooth skin, with blue eyes and long, pointy ears. They were also all extremely handsome and had beautiful white wings growing from their backs.
Most importantly, they literally glowed!
A faint divine glow exuded from their bodies as if they were blessed by the heavens as they walked on the earth.
Within The United University of Cultivation, countless students all turned to look at them and discuss amongst themselves.
“Wow, look at those guys there, they’re so handsome!”
“The females are really beautiful too, they’re like a group of idols.”
“I heard that the Light Wing Clan from the Garden of Eden were blessed by the heavens. It seems that there’s definitely truth to this claim, just their looks alone are worthy of admiration and envy…”
In the face of such attention, the guests from the Holy Paradise all wore gentle expressions and behaved naturally. They only seemed to keep a little bit of distance from everyone but were not arrogant or haughty in any way.
Within a small building in the White Wing school district.
“Big Brother An, there’s something really interesting going on outside, woof!” Da Bai charged through the window and exclaimed excitedly.
“Hmm… it’s so early in the morning, can’t you speak a bit more softly…” An Lin complained. He was still in bed, and his eyes were quite bleary.
“Big Brother An, it’s already noon!” Da Bai patted An Lin’s face eagerly with its paws.
An Lin was just about to say that he would be able to sleep for a whole day if Da Bai didn’t disrupt him, but he was met by the sight of Da Bai’s huge paws flying toward his face.
Slap! Slap! Slap!
An Lin immediately flared up in rage and jumped up from his bed. “What do you want?!”
“There’s a bunch of bird people outside, they’re all beautiful and have big boobs and a*ses.” Da Bai smiled slyly with a knowing expression.

An Lin: “…”
Thus, he leaped onto Da Bai and hurriedly flew into the sky.
…
About a dozen Light Wing Clan members walked casually in the schoolyard, but they seemed to have a set destination in mind.
“Augus, do you think An Lin is really in the White Wing school district right now?”
A beautiful woman in a white robe spoke with a clear and crisp voice.
The handsome man at the front of their group nodded his head.
He brought out a piece of paper, on which was An Lin’s address and photograph. “If he’s not home, we’ll just have to wait for him by the door. We’ll definitely be able to see him today.”
“Not taking into account other matters, this An Lin sure isn’t bad to look at.” The woman smiled daintily at the sight of the photograph.
The students passing by were all entranced at the sight of the woman’s pure and dazzling smile.
“Shirley, restrain yourself, don’t be a pervert,” Augus said expressionlessly.
Shirley pursed her lips but didn’t say anything. Augus should just mind his own business, what right did he have to prevent her from looking at other men?
Da Bai flew in the air excitedly. “I’m following their scent, they’re directly up ahead, woof!”
An Lin lips twitched, should he praise Da Bai for his acute sense of smell?
Immediately after this, they arrived at a location directly above the Light Wing Clan group and began to survey them from above.
“These are members of the Light Wing Clan? My God, they really do glow!” An Lin exclaimed in marvel.
“That’s not the point! The point is, have you discovered that they all have really sexy figures, woof?” Da Bai wagged his tongue as his big watery eyes stared unblinkingly at the group down below.
An Lin peered down at the women below, some of whom wore white veil dresses, exposing their fair shoulders and sexy collarbones. Some wore slightly looser dresses and An Lin could catch the sight of a tempestuous rustling of two snowy white peaks.
Both of them inhaled involuntarily and continued to trace the Light Wing Clan group in the air.
“Augus, the guy riding the dog in the air, he seems to be following us,” Shirley suddenly spoke.
Augus nodded. “I’ve already noticed but this is the territory of the Heavenly Court, they won’t dare to do anything over the line.”

A light blush crept onto Shirley’s face. “But I feel like they’ve already crossed the line, with their eyes that’s…”
“Huh?” Augus faltered before coming to his senses and shifting his gaze to the air above.
As their eyes met, Da Bai immediately averted his gaze, turning to look at the clouds in the sky.
An Lin also instantly shifted his gaze away, pretending like he was appreciating the scenery the whole time.
Augus: “…”
When their gazes once again fell on the group below, An Lin suddenly felt like something was amiss.
“Da Bai, why do I feel like they’re missing a person,” He asked curiously.
Da Bai’s eyes were wide with excitement as he wagged his tongue. “No, the women with the big boobs and a*ses are all there!”
“Oh…” An Lin scratched his head.
Suddenly, a terrifyingly powerful aura erupted from behind them.
Da Bai’s body trembled as An Lin turned to look behind them.
They were greeted by the sight of a man with a set of white wings spread wide, a dazzling light erupting from his whole body.
He gripped the air with both hands as swirls of white light began to appear, gathering a terrifying amount of power.
An Lin and Da Bai were shocked at the sight and knew they were about to get f*cked.
“Big Brother Angel, this is all a misunderstanding!” An Lin yelled hurriedly.
The man sneered coldly, “Divine Punishment · White Swirling Heavenly Pillars!”
The white whirlpools of light began to disperse, while pillars of light appeared and descended with almighty power.
Boom!
The powerful force from the pillars of light collided head-on with An Lin and Da Bai.
The unbridled power contained within the pillars of light immediately knocked them to the ground, even cracking the ground below.
“Woof… how terrifying.” Da Bai crawled out of the rubble and shook its fur.
An Lin also felt as if his body had been disassembled, and he too struggled as he crawled out from the rubble. He then patted his body while using the Light Breeze Technique to blow away the surrounding dust and debris.
After the dust settled, he discovered that they had been surrounded…
They were surrounded by the Light Wing Clan group
All of them wore cold expressions and some had even pulled out their weapons.
“What do you have to say for yourselves?” A man walked out and interrogated them with a frosty expression.
Although everyone already knew what An Lin and Da Bai were doing, they still decided to give them a chance to repent.
“This is all a misunderstanding, let me explain!” An Lin was surrounded by many powerful cultivators, but he still forced himself to calm down.
“Yang Xin, what else is there to be said? We’re just carrying out our official duties, tell them to stop interfering with our work, woof!” Da Bai said menacingly.
Yang Xin?
An Lin faltered for a moment at Da Bai’s words before coming to his sense and praising Da Bai in his heart for his quick thinking.
He clasped his hands behind his back and spoke with a tranquil voice, “I’m Yang Xin, the leader of the university enforcement team!”
The expressions of everyone from the Light Wing Clan seemed to shift upon hearing this, so An Lin continued, “This is my mount who had seen that you all were traversing within our school grounds. He was afraid of any potential mishaps and so decided to patrol the area. If we’ve disturbed everyone then I offer my sincerest apologies and will be taking my leave now!”
He climbed onto Da Bai as he said this and waved in a friendly manner to all the Light Wing Clan members as he prepared to depart.
It had to be said, An Lin’s excuse was perfect!
Even if everyone still had doubts, they couldn’t express their doubts at his words.
Shirley blinked her bright eyes as she stared at An Lin, feeling as if he was quite familiar for some reason.
Augus was just descending from the sky at this moment and brought out his piece of paper again. After comparing back and forth a few time, he couldn’t help but ask, “An Lin?”
An Lin and Da Bai’s bodies trembled in unison.
“You’re An Lin, right?” Augus asked eagerly.
Augus grimaced as he stared at Augus. “Why would you say I’m An Lin?”
Augus brought out the photo on his piece of paper and showed it to An Lin. “Have a look, it’s identical!!!”
An Lin and Da Bai trembled again at the sight of the photo.
Hmm… it was indeed identical.
Well, this was f*cking awkward.

Paladin
When the first derelict alien spacecraft fell to Earth, humanity took what was found in it and propelled themselves to new heights. In their new Golden Age, humanity developed technology that they had only dreamed about. The following years saw hundreds more ships crash into the planet, spurring even greater technological leaps. An unassuming spacecraft, one of the dozens that fell yearly, descended on Siberia in 2021. The world took no particular notice of it. However, this one contained something beyond the miraculous technology that had made humans so prosperous. Three years later, in a top-secret underground facility in eastern Colorado, the automated construction of an army of Paladin Mobile Infantry Suits was underway. With this new, state-of-the-art weaponry, the military would turn the tide against the alien incursion that was consuming the planet. Humanity fell before that could happen. Sam was an engineer responsible for overseeing the facility. Now alone, he lives in utter boredom and near insanity, his only company the base’s pseudo AI and an army of empty Paladins. With the world gone to hell around him, and the things that caused it still living above, he decides that he is much better off staying exactly where he is. Unfortunately for him, that is no longer an option. This is the first novel I've written. The first fifteen or so chapters are going to be a little slower. I want there to be time to get to know the characters before they start blowing stuff up. Also, though the MC will be strong relative to the world, he won't be OP, and won't win every fight. Not every fight will be physical either. Currently, I'm aiming for something like 5 fairly short chapters a week, after the introduction part is done, but we'll see how that goes. Thanks for reading, and please let me know if I've made mistakes!

The Crucible - (Terror Infinity Fanfic)
There has always been those that stood out from the crowd. Heroes of old, undefeated warriors and demigods battling beasts of myth. These stories are written off as fiction and folk stories of ignorant people long lost to time. Nothing to prove them true except old family stories but what if people just weren't looking in the right place. Old truths no longer apply to the modern age of science but that doesn't stop them. The system that protects and finds these great people still exists and asks the same question it always has. “Do you want more than this life? Want to live… a real life?” YES/NO Who hasn't read Terror Infinity and thought I wonder what upgrades I would choose. I love the Web Novel and Side B. I did change a lot but the basic premise is still the same. Feel free to leave thoughts and suggestions in the comments. This is my first attempt at writing and I haven't done much of it since I left University 13 years ago. This is also more of a hobby than trying to become an author but that doesn't mean I will drop it just don't expect fast releases. I will mainly work on an Arc and post the arc's chapters in groups when I finish a whole arc. Kinda like Side B used to be.

What’s worse, JohnWillStab, the number-one edgelord on the server is somehow ending up in positions of power despite literally being an undead rogue with evil magic tentacles! The legend says that the Forbidden Fruit made the first two humans – Adam and Eve – intelligent, but what if it was the other way around? What if the Forbidden Fruit took most of their humility, their intelligence, their kindness, etc. away and turn them into the discriminating, angry, and hateful humans that they are? What if the only way to turn back into their former selves was to lead a good life on Earth to cleanse their souls? The legend also says that Lilith was a demoness who fled from Heaven and was granted mercy when she showed humility and proved that her soul was still worthy of saving despite all her wrongdoings. What if, after centuries of sinning, Lilith finally found her way back to kindness? What if God forgave Lilith for her crimes? What if she gave birth to a baby after she had repented? And what if that baby is the only human soul in existence that isn’t tainted by the Forbidden Fruit or her past sins? Tallitanya of Lilith inherited her mother’s immortality and grew up at a rate much slower than an average human so she had witnessed the rise and fall of empires even though she is physically and mentally 21 years old. She was born on Earth, but she moved to Heaven when she was physically 5 years old and didn’t return until she was 18 years old. She was tasked, by God himself, to guard over the Forbidden Tree which had since been replanted on an isolated island on Earth. She loves that job, and she loves that she was given direct instructions instead of having to figure out what God’s so-called ‘mysterious plans’ for her was. Centuries went by. Tallitanya is 21 years old when the Final Judgement is nigh. As an immortal who has yet to have a real affiliation with Heaven or Hell, Tallitanya has received a personal invitation from the Antichrist who wishes to recruit Tallitanya. Heaven also sends its angel – Michael – to inform Tallitanya that as a human, her soul would also be judged by God. She was ordered to leave her post as the Forbidden Tree’s guardian so that she could get to know the other humans before she makes an actual decision about who she wants to align herself with. The second she steps out of the island, it disappears. Turns out, her message from God was faked, and so was her mission. The devil had tricked her, and as the guardian of the Forbidden Tree, she must recover the tree and the island, or humanity will perish within the year.
