Supreme Grandpa Chapter 134

However, even if those robots needed weird things to operate, Yang Song did not choose to destroy them. On the contrary, he collected them into his storage space and would find the opportunity to research them and make them be able to operate in a normal way.
After doing all this, Yang Song simply walked back to the Resurrection Chamber.
Previously, when Zhang Yin and Doctor Leng were alive, Zhang Yin declared that he would release "those things" and let them destroy the world.
Thinking of this, Yang Song took out the slender glass screen that he had collected from the Corpse Controller No. 1 or Qiao Tao.
Yang Song looked at the still visible red button on the glass screen for a second before he directly pressed the exit icon.
Then, Yang Song started to explore this black-tech product.
Not long after, Yang Song finished and found that this was simply a remote control of this Zero Green District Base.
As long as he had this controller, Yang Song could go to any department he wished to. In addition, with this remote control, he also had the power to open some forbidden places in the entire secret base and control the… life and death of every person in this secret base excluding the district chief.
Speaking of this, Yang Song estimated that this remote control should originally belong to the district chief, but it was stolen by Zhang Yin, somehow.
At the same time, this remote control should require high permission in order to operate it. But Zhang Yin could also crack the password of this remote control or what?
As Yang Song continued to think about it, he thought of the scene where Zhang Yin said that the "red button" of the remote control was created by him?
Then, did Zhang Yin also participate in the process of developing this remote control, so that was the reason why he could use it?
"Maybe that must be that case," Yang Song felt that it should be that way.
Soon, Yang Song suddenly thought of what Doctor Leng had said. So far, Zhang Yin had already destroyed three departments. So in other words, there were still other departments that had people who were still alive? Or what?
With that thought in mind, Yang Song turned around and left the Resurrection Chamber and left the Resurrection Department.

Then, he walked to the elevator and began to operate the remote control.
On the remote control, Yang Song tapped on the word "Emotionless Department" and waited for a few seconds.
"Beep! Welcome, District Chief. The entrance to the Emotionless Department has been unlocked. Please tap on the screen to open the entrance."
…
In a short time, the door of the elevator opened and Yang Song walked out. But what greeted his sight made him sluggish for a while.
This Emotionless Department was a wide and flat ground without any rooms. However, in this department, there were countless human-sized robots and plants.
Each robot was digging the ground and planting the plant stiffly. However, it seemed like the work took too much energy from them. So after each of them planted the plants for 20 minutes, they would stop and walk to recharge themselves the battery.
"It seems like these low-level robots are not perfect… no, it should the energy core and the battery level that has the problem. Each robot can only last for 20 minutes… this is just too short."
Yang Song then simply left the weird Emotionless Department and went to the Secret Department, which was the real secret vault of the Zero Green District Base.
…
As soon as Yang Song arrived at the entrance of the Secret Department, four 2-meter-tall robust-looking robots immediately detected him and stood in front of him, blocking his way.
But Yang Song did not feel scared or anything. He also stopped his pace and took out the remote control and connected it with the network of the Secret Department.
After the network was connected, a switch icon immediately popped up on the screen and Yang Song unhurriedly pressed on it.
The four robots then timely went back to their place and Yang Song went to scan his identity. Currently, he was in the appearance of Doctor Leng.
Although Yang Song was not sure whether this Doctor Leng was the district chief of this secret base or not, he was pretty sure that he was a high-level member of the Zero Green Secret Base.
This was based on the fact that he said that he had participated in the creation of the Corpse Controller.
With such a high-level ability, it would be strange if he was not a high-rank member of the Zero Green District Base. After all, he should've been working in this place for many years. If he did not have any position after so many years, wouldn't he have resigned a long time ago?

So to keep a valuable person like him, the high-level management team of the Zero Green District Base must promote him to at least the level of the branch chief.
The Secret Department was actually the place that only the branch chief could enter, so the security must be extremely tight.
At the entrance, Yang Song scanned his pupils, his face, and his voice. Fortunately, Yang Song's God-level Disguise Technique really lived up to its name. He could perfectly copy any appearance, voice, and fine details of any person.
The super thick and round-looking door of the Secret Department began to spin around for a few seconds before a "puff" sound was heard. Some mist appeared from the bottom of the entrance and lingered around the entrance.
Yang Song then entered the Secret Department without any hesitation.
The door immediately closed back tightly.
Yang Song then began to look at the things inside the Secret Department.
Strictly speaking, this place was not exactly a place where one would work because there were many treasures such as gold, diamond, various gems, and so on.
There were also some special products such as the Healing Elixirs, Healing Pills, Strength Boosting Pills, and even… the Final Booster.
Seeing this, Yang Song started to think of a possibility and wondered, "Then, is it the Zero Green District Base that develops the Final Booster?"
The possibility of this was extremely high. A weird place such as the Zero Green District Base really had the ability to develop such a weird pill.
After all, they could even create the Corpse Controller and some weird monsters, so creating such a sinister pill was not hard for them, right?
Yang Song then ignored this for now and looked at the thing in the middle of the big hall.
It was a solid silver rectangular stand, on it was a floating spherical ball that ignored gravity while emitting a faint white light.
Yang Song did not feel any strange energy from it, nor did he feel any danger. So he went to touch it without much thought.
As soon as his finger came into contact with the ball, the ball immediately fell on the flat top of the stand slowly before it cracked.
But Yang Song was not worried about it because the ball was actually only a holographic projection produced by the black technology of this place.
After the ball cracked, many big holographic screens appeared and floated before Yang Song.
Yang Song looked at the big screens roughly and soon understood what this ball was as well as its role.
It turned out that this ball was the virtual storage of this Zero Green District Base. All kinds of information such as the information of the employees, robots, abyssal beasts, humans used as guinea pigs of this place, and so on could be found in this virtual storage ball.
However, it was only limited to this branch. Information about the main station of the Zero Green District Base could not be found at all, not even the slightest of it.
If it weren't for the fact that Doctor Leng revealed that there was still the main base, Yang Song was afraid that he would've never known about it and would've thought that after the death of Doctor Leng, this secret base would end.
"It seems like the information about the main base can only be found in the memory of Doctor Leng. It would be great if the system can grant me the ability to read memories of both dead and living people," Yang Song deliberately thought this and wanted to let the system hear his wish.
But as always, if it did not have anything important thing to announce or if Yang Song did not have any important questions to ask, the system would always stay silent like a piece of a dead log.
If the system had a face, Yang Song estimated that it would look like a "dead lifeless fish" and it only responded when it felt like it.
Yang Song put this messy thought aside and started to look through the information on the holographic screens again. This time, he used his advantage as a cultivator and read everything speedily and carefully at the same time.

-July 10, 2022- Stocked Chapters: 8 I'm out of hiatus, but honestly, I can't trust myself to post consistently anymore... A new arc is about to begin, and I'll start posting again once the entirety is done. It might take a year, but honestly, this story is going to go on for the foreseen future anyway... so I suppose that's just a blip in the grand scheme of things? I'll leave updates here every once in a while, if for some reason you're still actively checking on this incredibly slow story T-T The path of cultivation is often portrayed as one stained by bloodshed. But is that truly necessary? Heaven is merciful, after all. On a rather ordinary day, a peasant girl was whisked away by a strange old man. In a hall of great white jade, she was offered the chance to cultivate. ...too bad she's as lazy as a sloth. Slice of life Xianxia with fairly little action in early chapters, more focused on comedy. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] As they always have, humanity hunts the gods roaming the world, craving the supernatural power that flows within their veins. Even a drop is zealously guarded, passed from master to student through the ages. It is with this stolen power that the Blooded - those with divine blood coursing through them - grasp beyond mortality and achieve prestige, power, and greatness. Yet, for every fraction of power gained, thousands perish, slain by the gods' supernatural prowess. But everything is beginning to change. Eight years ago, for the first time in human memory, a god was felled. Part-time chef and full-time nuisance Orvi wants nothing to do with gods. Living in a derelict city, his only concerns are ensuring his adopted family's restaurant is prosperous and how to best beat the neighbourhood boys in a fight. If he's lucky, he might even snag a date with the farmer's daughter at the market. But even though he cares nothing for the gods or their blood, the world won't leave him alone forever. Because to reach godhood, one must first leave their humanity behind. *** The first arc of Blood & Noodles follows the adolescent Orvi as he attempts to navigate his rapidly changing home and - by his own definition - protect his family. The story is told almost entirely in the first-person, from the perspective of a teenager who isn't always the sharpest tool in the shed. There are tragic elements, especially in the current arc. It's character-focused and driven, though the protagonist's shenanigans are backdropped by a world operating independently from him. Orvi's a generally light-hearted character, and though the story veers into darker territory, I also want it to be able to make readers smile. Action sequences, despite the fantastical elements, are meant to be grounded and clearly-conveyed; Orvi is a brawler, not a warrior. I'm trying to write a story that's enjoyable to read and flows nicely, mainly because it's more fun to write. I'm also trying to improve my writing, so any feedback, whether positive or negative, is welcome!

“The value you have brought to trade is immense, more than a thousand fold what any other traveler to Crucible has ever produced. More than even I produced during my journey.” The old man paused for a moment here, seemingly reluctant to continue. After a few seconds he begins again with weariness creeping into his voice. “As the Messenger of Crucible I have received the value of your life. You shall be awarded a body with potential equaling the value you have brought to this place in accordance with the laws of the higher realms. Now you shall depart for Crucible, but first; I, Jaze, will give you some advice.” The old man, Jaze, he had named himself paused a time. Time enough that Gray began to wonder if he was still present, when he suddenly continued in a low and serious tone, “You will undoubtedly have great potential Gray of Earth, but it is still only potential. What could be is not necessarily what will be. If you step foolishly in my world, if you can not live up to the potential you have bartered for, Crucible will crush you mercilessly and tear away your very soul.” A thought, cheerful and light was heard from Gray before his presence was sent rocketing away like a shooting star. “I’m looking forward to it.”
