Supreme Grandpa Chapter 88

Yang Song, in the form of a 10-year-old boy, walked away without a care. However, he did not plan to use this appearance for long. After making sure that there were no surveillance cameras around, he changed his appearance continuously.
Finally, Yang Song left the Yellow Carp Market in the form of an ordinary teenager.
…
White Dragon Mountain was actually a range of mountains of historical and cultural significance located south of Tong City. This mountain was only about two hundred meters high, but the small mountain rages that grouped up together revealed the shape of a dragon. Its name came from this.
This mountain was only over a twenty-minute drive from Yang Song's house to the south. This was why Yang Song chose to go here.
However, Yang Song's main purpose for going there was to explore a suitable place for cultivation.
From what it was stated in the Immortal Cultivation Secret Manual, places with a lot of trees generally had a large amount of Spiritual Energy or in other words, psionic particles. And the Spiritual Energy in those kinds of places.
Not long after, Yang Song got off the taxi and came to the bottom of the mountain.
Right at the official entrance of the mountain, there was a tall gate and stairs that led to the top of the mountain.
There were not many tourists today as it was too hot. Therefore, it was much more convenient for Yang Song to do things.
After looking left and right to make sure that no one was paying attention to him, Yang Song slapped the ground with his feet lightly and flew into the dense forest on the left.
The trees here were quite old. The tallest one was tens of meters high and a few hundred years old.
Yang Song hopped onto the branches of trees and used his light body to make his way further upwards.
As Yang Song went deeper and deeper into the mountain, some wild animals gradually appeared, and a kind of refreshing feeling started to come into being.
Before long, Yang Song came to a rough cave that had dense Spiritual Energy ten meters away from him. As Yang Song was about to advance, his phone rang and it was Yang Haodong who was calling.
"What is it?" After pressing the answer button, Yang Song asked directly.
"Father, where are you right now?" Yang Haodong asked anxiously.
"White Dragon Mountain, what's the matter?"
Yang Haodong heaved a sigh of relief and said, "Just now, I caught three scouts of the Papa Devil Organization, but before I could ask them anything, they committed suicide right away."
"You don't have to worry. This old man is safe and sound," Yang Song reassured him. "You don't have to come to me. This old man has already found a place to stay. When things there are over, just inform this old man."

"Understood," Yang Haodong then thought of a temple on top of the main peak of the White Dragon Mountain.
If other people were near Yang Song, they would be stunned for sure. Because Yang Song clearly had an appearance of a teenager, but his voice sounded opposite of his age as if he was a sixty or seventy-year-old man instead.
This was simple. Yang Song used the God-level Disguise Technique. He could basically disguise any part of his body. Be it his voice, his hand, his strand of hair, the toes of his feet, and so on.
Yang Song shifted his sight to the vicinity of the cave and found that there were no animals around at all. Not even the sound of cicada could be heard.
This phenomenon was very strange.
Since this place had a lot of Spiritual Energy, even though animals couldn't see it with their naked eyes, they could still sense it and they would gather around here to nurture their own bodies.
But not even a rat was spotted around here.
Yang Song focused his gaze above the cave that located ten meters away from him and found that Spiritual Energy actually formed an uneven line and penetrated the cave through the many holes around the cave.
"Some unusual thing must be in this cave!" Yang Song was very sure about this. The Spiritual Energy must be controlled by something.
After pondering for a while more, Yang Song took out a sword before he jumped down and decided to enter the cave.
The entrance of the cave was only about a meter wide and over a meter tall. With such a narrow entrance, it was natural that not much sunlight could go in.
After Yang Song went inside, what greeted him was a layer of thin grass and a strange scent. That scent was not exactly pleasant, nor was it exactly unpleasant to the nose. It was basically a kind of subtle scent.
With Yang Song's current cultivation base, in such a dark place, he did not need to use a flashlight at all. He could see everything around him without any obstacles.
As Yang Song went further and further inside, he finally saw the uneven line of the Spiritual Energy.
At this time, a sight that appeared in front of Yang Song made Yang Song stunned for a while.
The whole area was no longer narrow, but very wide like that of a very spacious palace with bumpy, rocky, and dangerous-looking stalagmites.
This how-many-year-old cave was no longer completely dark but was sparkling with thousands of blue-green lights, like the giant jewelry chest of some ancient sea princess.
While the cave might appear to be dangling with precious gems, when Yang Song looked closely, the truth was a little more down-to-earth.
"Tsk, this old man thought he was going to hit it big!" Yang Song shook his head and frowned.

The cerulean glow was actually produced by a kind of fungus, which emit light from organs in its tail.
Those things were very sticky but very frail as well. With just a light touch of Yang Song's sword, that thing was stuck to his sword like a super-glue, but a pity that when Yang Song retracted his sword back, its body was torn apart miserably.
Inside this particular place, the most eye-catching thing was not those bright insects, but the dark lake that could reflect the light of those insects like a clear mirror instead. If gazed from afar, it was no different from a dark starry sky with many bright and small stars.
And the line of Spiritual Energy was also focused on here as well.
Yang Song glanced at the center of the lake. The Spiritual Energy was going down under the lake.
He narrowed his eyes and glanced at a stone near his foot before kicking it down.
Plop…
The stone touched the surface of the lake and made a sound. Ripples formed and spread for a while, but the lake was still very calm.
However, this calmness made Yang Song more sure that there must be something down there. With such a large amount of Spiritual Energy, there was no way that there was no life there. Just those glowworms were enough to prove this.
"Let's throw something bigger in," Yang Song and picked up a stone the size of a basketball personally this time and threw it into the lake with a bit of exertion of his strength.
Sure enough, this time, it really worked.
Numerous bubbles appeared in the middle of the lake before a rumbling sound broke through the calm atmosphere of the cave.
Various parts of bones identical to human bones jumped out of the water slightly before they fell back into the lake. A large black serpent with two blue horns got up violently and opened its huge jaw. Its big and sinister pupils glowed in the dark and glared at Yang Song with excitement as if to take Yang Song as its new prey.
"Roar…"
Through his Eyes of Insight, Yang Song got the information about the serpent.
Species: Blue-Horned Serpent (spirit beast)
Combat Power: Tier 3 General
Talents: natural predator (70), cold venom (20), wisdom (40), comprehension (30)
New Note: Spirit beast refers to a beast that evolved from natural animals and was born outside the abyss.
There were four talents in total. But what surprised Yang Song was the new note. In other words, this serpent was originally a snake, but it evolved due to the special circumstance of this place?
Yang Song was sure that this serpent didn't know how to cultivate, but there was something helping it. Because the Spiritual Energy still directed to the center of the lake, it didn't penetrate the body of the serpent at all.
But Yang Song put that aside for now, his current task was to kill this serpent.
"Little serpent, please be this old man's guest," Yang Song revealed a smile before he stomped on the ground and jumped towards the serpent.
"Roar!"
In response to Yang Song, the Blue-Horned Serpent roared again and used its head to greet Yang Song's sword.
The sword didn't hit the head directly but hit the blue horn instead.
"Clang!"
Unexpectedly, its horn could withstand the sharp sword of Yang Song. But it was not a big problem, because Yang Song had not used his full strength yet. He had only wanted to test this thing a little.
Yang Song went back to his original place; the giant serpent didn't allow him to rest. It followed him instantly, opening its large mouth, revealing its sharp fangs, and intending to swallow Yang Song alive.
Yang Song dodged to the left and increased his strength to chop at the horn of the serpent.
"Clank!"
It created a sound similar to earlier, but this time, Yang Song's sword almost cut off the entire horn.
"Roar…"
Blue liquid poured out of the gap of the horn and the serpent roared in pain. Yang Song took this opportunity to jump again and cut off the horn completely this time.
The blue horn fell into Yang Song's hand, but while still in midair, Yang Song took the chance to cut the other blue horn with all his might.
"Roar…"
The serpent roared in extreme pain once again. The blue liquid that seemed to be the blood of the serpent oozed out madly and poured all over its body.
The serpent realized that it had met danger this time, and prepared to plunge back into the lake, planning to escape for its life.
But how could Yang Song allow this to happen?
This time, after Yang Song fell back to the ground, he jumped up again instantly and aimed at the neck of the serpent directly.
With his full exertion of strength, the sharp sword met with the black scale of the serpent in its neck.
"Puff…"
As if a big knife cutting a frail fruit, the smooth line appeared from one side to the other without any obstacles.
The head of the serpent fell into the lake, making a noise. The blue blood squirted out of the giant wound madly and dyed the lake blue.
The big corpse then twitched for a few seconds before it also fell into the lake, splashing water around.

The Mystifying Diviner
Content warning, there is cursing in the story and there will be some pretty heavy sexual innuendos in it also. I don’t really plan to write gore, but there will be fight scenes. Fair warning to readers, it is a slow start. But hopefully it is enjoyable for you to read. Follow the story of an old chef who was lucky to be selected to become a system host. Well maybe not so lucky, because gaining the system killed him. He will be given a system that might not be the best match for him. While also having to deal with a snarky system monitor who might not be that helpful most of the time. He will also use his new found powers to enjoy life in a new younger body. What you can expect from this story is bad writing, poor grammar, and slow pacing maybe. Food, cooking, comedy, slice of life, fighting, exploring, tournaments, scamming and probably face slapping. I mean who doesn’t like a good face slapping? This is my take on a cultivation story, a lot of Eastern stuff will be crammed into with a mix of Western. This story started as a goal for myself to write 60,000 words in a month for NaNoWriMo. I was able to do it even with taking days off and not writing. I plan to keep writing the story, but at a slightly slower pace. I am aiming for 2-3 chapters a week now with about 4-7k words written. This is only posted on RoyalRoad currently, and I have no plans to change that for now. Cover art is by Jack0fheart [Participant in the 2021 Royal Road Writathon Challenge for the month of November 2021]
