Chapter 787 - A Balance Shattering Pet! II
The Blue Slime that was the blob surrounded by terrifying figures of terrifying beasts looked towards Noah innocently as it seemed like the most innocent thing one could come across.
Its jelly form wiggled as Noah went down and took it into his arms.
[The Blue Slime...this was the last Animus Summon I called forth before I set off with the other Sages. I knew it was a rare creature, but I didn’t have time to explore its full bloodline and abilities so I simply locked it up here along with all the others. Are you sure of choosing this one?]
The voice of the consciousness of the Great Sage rang out with a tinge of melancholy as Noah nodded with a light smile.
"Oh, this is definitely the one." He said these words as his body erupted with essence, the ability of [Archaic Contract] being cast as his body and the blob of the Blue Slime became covered with essence and runic sigils.
THRUUUM!
As if witnessing a monumental event, the very surrounding space shook as the illusory figure of the Great Sage Aoin could only look forward in disbelief as he saw a contract be formed between two beings of different stages!
[Monstrous...]
Only a single word could be uttered as the light died down, showing Noah and the Blue Slime that had bounced from his arms and gone on top of his head.
It had lost the restrictions that the Great Sage placed on the Animus Summons within the Tower as it moved freely, its blob of a body bouncing atop Noah’s head as it seemed to enjoy its freedom!
Its bouncing was accompanied with a shy voice ringing out in Noah’s mind.
"Master, your head is very fluffy..."

The terrifying Blue Slime bounced up and down Noah’s head as it rolled in his dark gold hair, not giving any feeling of being the only living member of the terrifying lineage of the Universal Emperor Slimes that were hunted down by powerful beings in the Primordial Cosmos!
"You like staying on my head?" Noah had a smile as he spoke to the slime, its bouncing only becoming more excited as he chuckled and continued. "Then you can play there for as long as you want!"
"Un!" A cute reply came out as Noah looked at the panel that showed the information of this balance shattering Animus Summon once more.
Being a Universal Emperor Slime, this summon had the singular ability of >, something that made it possible for its power to grow where it was today, and also the reason why one of its kind could grow to a stage where it was capable of holding an entire Universe hostage!
> :: Any life form that is devoured will be fully assimilated seamlessly as their abilities, Realm, Law Comprehensions, Dao Comprehensions, and anything else within their existence will be obtained. This is an ability unique to the Universal Emperor Slimes.
This was the ability that this Blue Slime used to somehow put multiple Daos under his belt, with 4 Grand and 3 Lesser Daos being comprehended by it as it had simply Devoured beings that were studying such Daos! It had taken whatever Origin they had along with their abilities, Laws, and Dao comprehensions fully as at this moment, it was more terrifying than any of the other Animus Summons that still remained on the line up in front of Noah!
This was a summon that had nearly completely comprehended the Grand Dao of Devouring, a summon that would very soon be a genuine Entity the moment it did so!

He had truly obtained something ridiculous as the possibilities for the future were truly too many.
There was also immense hidden danger as this Blue Slime was a type of creature that was hunted down by the big bosses running around the Primordial Cosmos, but to this this thought Noah only had a single reply-
So what!
Even if some powerful beings he didn’t even know about targeted his Summons, they would just get in the long line of people that Noah wanted to confront! There were those that attacked the Dark Universe while trying to obtain the Cosmic Treasure Ruination and ultimately cause its Sages and Great Sages to perish as this entire universe could now face an Apocalypse at any time, and now whatever beings hunted down Universal Emperor Slimes to extinction would just have to get on this long line of enemies.
Oh and of course, he couldn’t forget the stupendous fact that next to the name of this Blue Slime, a + sign could be seen next to PRISMATIC as it showed even within this rarity, this Summon was the very best there was.
’Ah!’
He sighed with contentment and achievement as he turned his gaze towards the other 9 PRISMATIC Summons in front of him!
"Master, you want to choose another one? Get Big Sister Dragon, she has a lot of heads..."
The Blue Slime chirped in as it noticed Noah’s gaze, its eyes looking towards the terrifying visage of Tiamat, a dreadful looking dragon that simply had too many heads.
Each of them a different color and shining with a dangerous l.u.s.ter as the eyes seemed to blaze with immense anger and madness!
"Oh? Why would you choose her?"
"Mmm, when we could freely move in the Tower tens of thousands of years ago, all the others were scared of her...and she was always in a bad mood somehow." The slime bounced up and down as it spoke of the passing of tens of thousands of years like nothing.
But Noah agreed with the words of this terrifyingly cute slime as he looked at the information of the multi headed dragon!
[Queen Dowager- Tiamat](PRISMATIC) :: An Animus Summon at the Peak Tier GALAXY Realm. It was a ruling force in the Animus Universe as it is the Progenitor of one of the 9 Supreme Bloodlines of All Animus Creatures. Stripped down from its high throne by the Alliance of the 5 Supreme Clans and having its Origin and Soul completely destroyed, Tiamat underwent rebirth from the Innate Skill of the Dragon Progenitor Bloodline as portions of its memories are slowly coming back. The Queen Dowager has currently assimilated the Laws of Life, Death, Fate, and Chaos. She has also nearly finished comprehending the Grand Daos of Slaughter and Destruction. When she completes the process of her rebirth and regains all her memories, she will awaken her comprehensions in the Cosmic Dao of Annihilation...
Seeing Noah nod with shining eyes as he evaluated Tiamat up and down, the Blue Slime bounced happily as it called out.
"Get that Big Sister, Master! She’s nearly as cute as me..."
RUMBLE!
The words of Blue Slime caused the restricted eyes of Tiamat to shine a dangerous light as Noah moved forward!

BODY&SHADOW
AN ILLUSTRATED NOVEL • UPDATES TUESDAY AND FRIDAY In a time before living memory, the King Dragon of the Void watched the world and realized there was a crack. He realized that humanity was destroying the rock upon which they lived; they leaked life’s code into the churning chaos. At first the change was imperceptible: nanites overtook microorganisms, bacteria, viruses, amoebas. Insects became increasingly inorganic; birds and lizards followed soon after. Even humans were infected by their own advances, cell by cell, till there was not a person left on earth who wasn’t at least part synthetic, the product of a prior generation’s carelessness. The world’s population was ravaged by mechanical viruses with no vaccines; they were mercilessly overtaken by bacteria that knew no death. Soon, most of the planet was empty and only a handful remained who remembered the hedonist realm they came from; only a few were left who remembered what the world looked like when their buildings touched the sky. The King Dragon of the Void watched the rock turn. He watched humans cower as the Old World fell down around them; watched their great monuments crumble into dusty ruins; watched their codes become precious, ancient gem memories forged under the crushing pressure of so many fallen stones. The world has spun many times around the sun since chaos swallowed man whole. It is a simpler time than the one that died out, but the people now are not immune to the folly of the people before. There is old code everywhere: in the water, in the air, in the trees. The heart of man has been replaced by power cores, many of which are hard-coded with preternatural abilities—when they die, an esoteric mountain sect collects their cores and stores them in their hollow mountain home to preserve the sanctity and dignity of human death. They’ve learned to harness artifacts of the old world, gemstones full of codes their nanite infused bodies can parse as spells imbuing their users with great power; they inlay them into their bodies, into their skins, connected to their cores by copper conduit and gold tracers; they dress themselves in tattoos to advertise their prowess; they battle for relics in arenas, fight for them in the open world wherever they are found. The King Dragon of the Void watches the rock turn and wonders: when will this hunger finally make the rock stop spinning? WELCOME TO FANXING CITY … Twenty-five years ago, Fanxing City and the surrounding lands were commanded by the mad King Zao Beiguan. For many years, the King hoarded wealth, artifacts, food; he demanded tribute from a people already taxed to the edges of their existence and expected they be happy with their circumstances. Noncompliance was often punished harshly, bodies displayed proudly on Fanxing’s streets as a warning, from the city gates to the Zao palace’s golden doors. The youths of several prominent clans came together to overthrow the tyrant and made names for themselves as legendary heroes across the land: Tian, Ren, Feng, Gui, Ma, and Zhenxi. Even wanderers from the Luanshi sect descended from Yunji mountain to aid the rebellion. When the dust settled after three years, Tian Yunyong ascended the throne of Fanxing and swore to honour his slain father’s memory, and has maintained Fanxing’s peace with generosity and mercy where fear and cruelty once reigned.

Contact Through Voided Lenses
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Edit: Fixed some inaccuracies in the synopsis. The void is a vast unexplored ocean filled with various wonders and dangers all waiting to be explored by those brave enough to travel and record. Many souls do find themselves brave enough to face the vast distances, the various risks to personal safety and do the hundreds of task required on a craft. However, at times the void itself can be boring with absolutely nothing to do but as time pass and more and better technology is reached, things got better. The various trips got faster, communications became faster than light and you can be home to see your loved ones after only months now. Through the various planets whether rocky or gaseous, the various stars whether small or giant, the various systems both eerily similar or completely alien. As part of an expeditionary scientific exploratory survey craft, one could see that the void offers no reprieve from all the discoveries and wonders. At times, it can feel empty and silent where no soul can hear you scream and at others it can be overwhelming with sudden phenomenon that can overwhelm the brightest of minds. The void itself is a truly fascinating ocean where one must chart the various islands or drown in its deadly tidal waves. But the question still remained no matter how you try to hide it in of itself… is there truly other intelligent life out there? Are we alone in this ocean? Those very questions still haunt the minds of those on the crafts themselves as they brace for every jump ready for the unknown and the known. Many would try to explain that yes there is other intelligent life out there whilst other still say no after 2 centuries of continuous flight out of the home system. Still, those are questions that bury deep in the minds of the crew and those at home as the voidcraft jumps to a system with a single yellow star orbited by 8 other planets with one crowning blue jewel being the 3rd closest with its 5 oceans and 7 continents, a planet called Dirt which is inhabited by a primitive species called Humanity. Hello, author here and this is my newest dive into writing particularly for the Writathon currently in progress being my first one. I hope you give me story a try but in case you still want more information on what you’re getting into, below are some pointers about the story itself. First Contact: CTVL is a story about a first contact scenario between an advanced alien civilization and a slightly more advanced modern day humanity on their planet called Dirt. Characters: The story will take place mainly on the perspective of the alien visitors themselves though there will be human POV characters who will show how the rest of humanity react through media and forums. Action: It won’t be an actual alien invasion but you have to see for yourself how well first contact went. Sci-Fi: I will be very forward here, I WILL bend the rules of physics in order to add in parts of the plot and there WILL be parts that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Theme: It will be a brooding story talking about the futility of pe… Just kidding, it’s mostly wholesome stuff to be honest here. Alien: The aliens themselves will… actually why should I tell you, you have to go and read it to find out what the aliens are though I will draw a few things here and there to aid in the process. Extra tidbit: If you are a grammar nazi or someone who really wants a realistic scifi story... this story is probably not for you at all. Anyways, that’s pretty much all I can say before I spoil something major of the plot itself, the story is slice of life so make sure that type of story is what you like because I am terrible with anything else as I found out, anyways, have a good time everyone and good luck to the other Writathon participants.
