Infinite Mana in the Apocalypse Chapter 777

Chapter 777 - Nothing better than counting loot!
It was a shocking scene to come across in the isolated Life Realm as only 4 beings floated in the skies, all around them bloody chunks of beings and scintillating lights of loot being the only things one could see.
Anna was mounting her Four Winged Unicorn as she stared at the scene around her in a stupor, where even after she watched it play out in real time she still could not help but be shocked at it!
The three PRISMATIC Summons were just now reducing in size as Noah stopped pumping them with Dao essence, their bodies having terrifying looks as they seemed to be bathed in blood.
This was especially so for the Obsidian Panther that actually had the highest kill count, this speedy cat taking down 7 GALAXY rank experts itself as it was simply too fast and deadly!
Even Noah had only taken down 3 more Aileron Royals after reaping the life of Prince Kirigan, his Animus Summons doing the rest as the Colossal Helios Leviathan and the Void Serpent acted in a brutal fashion to crush or devour their enemies.
The end result was the entire party from the Primal Winged Expanse being wiped out, where only Noah remained in the skies with his body bathed in the blood of enemies he pulverized by throwing around a Galaxy!
He stared at the surroundings as his eyes shone while looking at all the loot around him. After the death of Kirigan, he let the loot of the defeated or exploding enemies remain in the skies as a magical scene very few would come across was playing itself in front of his eyes at this moment.
It was the scene of numerous loot items shining with immense l.u.s.ter all around him, ranging from cores to skill books and even Dao Crystals!

The Dao Crystals were even more eye catching as they seemed to be releasing a wondrous red pillar of treasure light, seemingly screaming it was high tiered loot as it could be distinguished clearly from the blue glimmering GALAXY Cores.
As his gaze passed over them, he sighed with emotion as he waved his hands to count and collect everything he had obtained.
The boon this time was simply enormous, with the targets delivering themselves to him being 20 beings in the GALAXY Realm, with one third of them being in the Middle Tier!
This meant that he had obtained a great deal of Low and Middle Tier GALAXY Cores, and his mind was already working overtime on how to best use these cores.
For him to go from QUASAR into the Low Tier GALAXY Realm, he had to absorb the cores of all the Elder Fiends he took down as well as cores from multiple Low Tier GALAXY Realm Wild Animus in this Secret Realm! So when he thought of advancing to the Middle Tier, he truly wasn’t sure if even the cores of the 20 GALAXY Realm experts would be enough to do so.
But he was still in the Secret Realm, and there were a great deal of Wild Animus he could still farm for cores to be used by him and his subordinates, so he didn’t stay on this thought too much!
Aside from the many skill books that he would go through later for anything unique, it was the Dao Crystals that occasionally erupted from the dying enemies that made him even more excited.
From the 18 experts he had killed after he changed the Affix to [Slain enemies have a 10% chance to drop Dao Crystals based on the Dao they cultivate], only 5 had triggered the affix!

Even this was extremely lucky as it was a 1 in 10 chance of it ever occurring, where if it happened twice it would be considered great.
But the glimmering Dao Crystals that he collected made him truly smile as from his calculations, he saw that if one were to absorb all of them...they would be able to gain over 30% in the Lesser Dao of Withering!
That was the same gain from a Protagonist’s Bookmark, the capability to learn one third of a Dao in an instant...
And this time, it wasn’t just limited to Noah as he could actually choose to have others absorb the Dao Crystals and gain the comprehension instead.
And if he were to let’s say...come in conflict with the Primal Winged Expanse after killing their 20 Aileron Royals, would he not get a chance to take down more of them as he farmed even more Dao Crystals?
Didn’t this mean he could quickly farm a type of loot that would allow him to gain 100% Comprehension of a Dao in a relatively short period of time? Loot that also wasn’t just restricted to him?!
Many thoughts crossed his mind at this moment as he simply waved his hands and put everything away.
He then turned to Anna on the side as he spoke with a light smile.
"So, we just killed your future husband and the entire delegation of the Primal Winged Expanse. It’s going to be wild when we get out of the secret realm."
"..."
Anna looked towards him as her eyes shone with a sharp light, seemingly thinking about a lot as she replied with a strong voice.
"Grandfather will have to make a choice. And...I feel like you would enjoy the outcome of conflict anyways..."
Her words were inquisitive at the end as she seemed to figure out Noah little by little as he only nodded lightly at her words while he waved his hands to dispel the Life Realm around them.
THRUUUM!
The space gradually shifted as the wriggling vines pulled back, returning to the multicolored skies of the secret realm as the door floating in the skies disappeared!
"Let’s deal with that when we go out. For now, we still have this secret realm to finish exploring...and seeing for ourselves if there truly is a Sage’s Legacy."
Noah’s strong voice rang out as he patted the bloody Obsidian Panther happily, the Void Serpent and Colossal Helios Leviathan around him roaring powerfully as they were still in top shape.
Anna looked at this scene as she smiled with disbelief, seeing this being treating the action of wiping out 20 GALAXY Realm experts like nothing as he simply continued with his exploration with immense ease!
She was greatly thankful for his help as she could only follow his pace and go along with his eccentricity, her bright voice ringing out.
"Then let’s go deeper!"
RUMBLE!
Essence pulsed out as the two humans went back atop a Colossal Helios Leviathan to explore more of the secret realm that was the Primal Holy Land, getting back to the same task of absorbing cores as Anna neared her breakthrough into QUASAR while Noah began the process of perfecting his new realm!

Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.
