Chapter 725 - A True Protagonist!

The last unlocked ability of the Protagonist Trait was truly something!

Noah himself had to read over it multiple times just to be sure he understood everything about it.

[This Trait is unlike any other ones I’ve granted before, and I have a feeling that I would not be able to grant it to anyone again no matter how much I try. As for its uses...I’m confused as to why the Universal Laws even allowed it to be birthed and come to fruition.]

The voice of the Nexus Galaxy rang out in his mind as it commented on the impossibility of Trait, Noah only giving a light smile as he continued to look at [Protagonist’s Bookmark].

The core of it was the fact that he could select someone, or the so called term of ’bookmark’ them as he could descend onto their body without their knowledge! He could then choose from a variety of options to benefit from, with his mind already thinking of the esteemed characters of Rudolf and Old Man Khan that he had met just a few minutes ago!

If he could bookmark one of those characters and be assimilated into them for just that one minute, what percentage of advancement would be shown in his Dao of Summoning if he focused to experience their comprehension of it while the skill was active?

This single thought buzzed through his mind as he made a note and planned, his gaze going down to the other 2 new abilities as his expectations were driven insanely high. First up was something he was very knowledgeable in when he played games in the past, a feature that you could use with your character that saved all your progress for you to load it up whenever you wished- it was Save Point!

[Save Point] :: The Protagonist can utilize this ability at any point in time, allowing them to establish their Origin and Soul into a unique Spacetime Continuum that they can return to if their life is ever at the point of being taken away. Right before the time of death, this skill will automatically activate if there is a Save Point available, preventing the death of the Protagonist as they are brought back in time. Aside from the automatic activation right before death, the Protagonist can also choose to return to a previous Save Point at any time they wish. This ability has a cool down of 30 days.

"Well..."

His eyes shone at its details as while he was taken down a notch by the continuing cool downs of the abilities, he just gained yet another powerful life saving measure that would guarantee his life in the near future. His eyes then landed on the last ability that was purely termed ’Chosen One’!

[Chosen One] :: The Protagonist is meant for something greater, and they must play a central role in the designated area they currently reside in. The current holder of the Protagonist Trait is in the Dark Universe, thus in this area, they will find that their movements are inadvertently mixed with the major forces of the universe as they always end up the center of all problems...as well as the solutions. With this ability, as long as the holder of the Protagonist Trait doesn’t fall off a cliff and die- all they would need is time as they somehow become embroiled into every major event as they play the role of the chosen one, the singular character that will always be there to prevent disasters and save the day.

Yet another ridiculous Trait showed itself in front of his eyes as he didn’t even know how to feel at this point. All of the abilities he continued to find in the Protagonist Trait gave such unique and shocking abilities that when looking at them, he nearly began deluding himself into thinking he was truly the main character of some story!

He had to shake his head as he erased this thought away, thinking that he was entertaining himself too much with such a thought. Him? The main character of a story? It was only something he thought in passing as he smiled at the thought. If he truly was the main character of a story, he would want to be one that was overly powerful and bulldozed over every obstacle in front of him.

He wouldn’t be struggling as Noah had been struggling over these past months!

"Ahh..."

But as he looked at all of these abilities, he could genuinely say that in terms of his Trait, he had become a true Protagonist on this day! He didn’t even know how to compare the grandness of the Protagonist Trait with his Infinite Mana Trait, where it seemed the both of them excelled in certain aspects. But if he had to choose which one he considered of utmost importance...he would still say it was his Infinite Mana!

This was because his Infinite Mana trait stayed at the core of everything. Whatever he wanted to do, he needed mana. Even the protagonist Trait could only be utilized because he had unlimited mana due to the high energy requirements of its abilities. But the survivability aspect that the Protagonist Trait granted...it was just utterly ridiculous.

Pulling his thoughts away, he looked at the other factors of the Protagonist Trait while the process of rebuilding continued in the Nexus Galaxy. Aside from the new skills, there was also the enhanced version of previous skills that Noah simply loved! One of these was the fact that for the two abilities of [Plot Armor] and [Deus Ex Machina], their cool down had reduced to 21 days instead of 30!

The rest of the prior abilities simply got enhancements in their effects as Noah actually looked at the complete form of [Eyes of Truth] with the most anticipation.

This was because with this, he would never come across any unintelligible words when he glanced at anything in the future, and he wanted to start with the main treasure that had made many things possible for him, the treasure that he could only gleam a small and simple description of in the past as his eyes burst just from looking at it!

In the Novus Galaxy, the body of Noah opened his eyes as he also saw the same descriptions of the Protagonist Trait as Alexander, his body warping away as he appeared deep in the Central Realm of the Novus Galaxy near the glimmering obsidian core.

Today, he would gaze his eyes upon something grand once more!
