Chapter 688 - Above the Laws is...

Unimaginable potent essence converged in the small garden in the Blue Plains Realm, all of it going towards the man currently cultivating the Doctrine of Death for the first time!

Similar to the Law of Life, the process for the Law of Death had begun with a budding of a seed that soon erupted into a sapling. This sapling was extremely dark in color as it seemed to absorb every other color around it, a stark contrast being created with the vibrant green tree of life that was growing above it.

The two trees were currently growing while facing different directions, where if one were to draw a line at the very center of the Origin, they would see a vibrant green hue permeate the origin above the line and a dark cold hue to permeate below!

As the sapling of the Tree of Death began to bud with more and more branches and leaves, thick roots erupted out as they spread serenely through the colorful Manifested Black Hole and began to intertwine with the roots of the Tree of Life.

This reaction should have been something opposable, but it happened as smoothly as it could as for the two Ultimate Laws of Life and Death, the two were one and the same! Two sides of the same coin!

But it created for a truly beautiful scene as even Anna who had seen Alexander shine with a vibrant green in the Imperial Library before could not help but watch with an agape expression.

The Imperial Adjudicator who had lived for many years and seen many things was also moved, his own Tree of Death within his Origin ringing in a reaction as it sensed another Death Law Master being born nearby!

5 minutes passed as the phenomenon of converging essence and the illusory scene of a Tree of Death coldly growing ever larger below a Tree of Life continued, the roots of the two trees wrapping around each other so tightly that they created a mysterious groove at their point of contact.

Alarm rose in the eyes of Anastasia and the other 2 beings as they saw this process still continue, and their hearts only settled after they felt the essence begin to recede the moment the one hour mark was met.

The essence of universal laws began to die down around them as they could see two illusory Trees floating stably amidst the genius’s colorful Black Hole.

Anastasia sighed with surprise as her thoughts were proven true, committing it in her heart to see if genius would be able to traverse the even harder path that she walked on. She was about to speak her thoughts when her eyes caught the expression of Alexander scrunch up as he felt the waning universal essence, seemingly annoyed by this fact as his body soon shone with a verdant green light.

Noah had taken his time as he felt the growth of the Tree of Death, this tree synchronizing with the Tree of Life as he brought the Law of Death to 12% from cultivating it in just a few hours, the Law of Life rising becoming to a full 30% at the same time!

It was only then that he stopped simultaneously activating the Doctrines of Life and Death as he opened his eyes, essence waning around him as even the skies seemed to breathe in relief at the phenomenon’s ending.

His eyes opened to lock on with the sharp eyes of Anastasia that was looking at him with focus, her voice ringing out right after.

"Your talent should be at the level of the Core Scions of Ancient Organizations if not completely surpassing them. Good! We are low on time, so we shall get started right away. You two, pay attention as well and see if your talent can pick anything up."

An aura of unique strength erupted from Anastasia as she rose in the air, her face becoming cold and devoid of emotions as she seemed like an untouchable Entity!
