Chapter 594 - What Lies Behind the Golden Barrier? II

Behind the golden barrier that Noah had crossed...was a spectacular environment that had 10 times the concentration of essence as the area immediately outside of it!

Noah’s awareness at the level of a Grand Controller could spread out to cover an extremely wide distance, so even though he had just entered an area that covered the remaining portion of the Central Realm that had not been explored by anyone, he was able to notice many things in the immediate surroundings!

Shockingly, those he could sense the nearest were the droves of Infernals who had been spread out across the Novus Galaxy to stop the advancements of Celestials.

The auras of the remaining 6 Infernal Lords and the hundreds of billions of Infernals that had been in all the Infernal Realms had returned into the Central Realm, into the home they had originally deep behind the golden barrier!

But this was only the first thing that Noah noticed. As he rose to the skies and watched the mystical surroundings filled with extremely tall trees that further increased the aesthetics of this surrounding land to make it seem as if he was walking through an ancient primordial land, he saw even more shocking things.

Aside from the nearing Infernal Lords, the further out that Noah spread out his awareness, the more beings he came across as he actually saw their levels of power increase ever so higher!

Some looked like Behemoths, others were creatures he had never seen before, but the most unique thing was their realm of power.

Nearly all of them stood at the Star Forging Realm, without a single one being a rank lower!

That’s right- aside from the Infernals with their varying levels in the immediate surroundings, Noah could only observe a truly large number of creatures that all had their Realms at the level of a Star Forger and nothing less.

As his awareness went out even further, he began coming across the auras of creatures at the level of the Nebula!

Even further inland where his awareness could not reach and it became foggy, he could sense the aura of the powerful Aether of Terror that was forcefully teleported away from the Letalis Expanse not too long ago.

This was why he thought if Aldrich had really been able to cross the golden barrier, he might have just taken his own life as the things within were wholly different from what he expected!

"Are there actually any truly spectacular treasures in here...?"

He unconsciously asked the 1st Infernal Lord floating beside him as he focused his awareness on the smaller details of this area past the golden barrier. It actually wasn’t wrong for many beings to think that there were countless treasures past the golden barrier, as his sharp eyes actually noticed a section a few hundred miles away that had something he had taken in the past that pushed him to the World Rank- the [Luminescent Rainbow Dew]!

He actually saw these Luminescent Rainbow Dews freely coming off of extremely tall trees as if they were fruits, and there was a large number of them that they would have made any beings in the Novus Galaxy to look towards them with greedy eyes.

Yet they peacefully swayed in the branches of these tall trees among this fantastical environment filled with an overabundance of essence, making Noah look around everywhere else for treasures he did not even know about.

"Of course, there is also an abundance of treasures. All the techniques that allow one to advance through normal and Supreme Laws, even unique laws like Aether that are just a small distance further ahead than Supreme. Of course, the other things which might not be considered treasures but are abundant in nature...are the Protectors you are seeing."

The 1st Infernal Lord replied to him as their figures floated further inside, stating that the beings which all seemed to be at the level of Star Forging were termed as Protectors!

"...and the multiple auras of Nebula Realm creatures?"

His awareness was focusing on seeking out exactly how many of such creatures laid within this place as he asked, another reply coming towards him. But this time it was from an extremely cold and monotone voice.

[Existences made for the sole purpose of Protecting. It is not hard to make many once you set restrictions on their Origins, with their greatest restrictions being bound by universal laws that they cannot escape.]

His head did not feel a searing pain anymore as he floated further and further past the area of the golden barrier, this voice being clearer as he began receiving answers from the entity itself!

[Lying just a level before Controllers, with their sole purpose to remain in the Central Realm for guard duty and nothing else. The moment they do anything else but that, their Origins implode.]

Concepts similar to what Noah had read when he achieved the Nebula Rank in the Terror of Aether skill tree rang out, an idea of how these beings came to be filling Noah’s mind. He recalled the description of the ability as he continued flying towards the depths of this new land, flying over the droves of Infernals standing completely motionless below him.

[Terror of Aether] (5/5) :: An inborn ability granted to the special existences known as Terrors by the Novus Galaxy. For an extremely high price and restrictions, this ability normally granted 100% comprehension in the law of Aether. As the current user has not paid this price nor any of the restrictions and yet still holds this title, only 50% of comprehension in the Law of Aether shall be granted. The technique of cultivating Aether, [Disciple of Aether], is also granted.

Based on the description of this ability, the creatures within this area behind the golden barrier were granted their power at the Star Forging or Nebula Realm in exchange for huge restrictions from the universal laws themselves. But the ability to make these protectors as well as place the restrictions that allowed for their power...this ability was only something that the entity known as the Novus Galaxy could carry out!

Noah continued forward as he noticed the three Infernal Lords stopping behind him at a certain point, the 2nd and 3rd Infernal Lords descending down as only the 1st Infernal Lord remained in the skies with him. They had passed the area where hundreds of billions of Infernal Lords were motionlessly and noiselessly standing, with their figures about to enter further in where Noah saw multiple creatures at the level of Star Forging and even a few at the Nebula Realm moving.

[It should be much easier to communicate now at this point.]

He heard the voice of the powerful entity once more, but he had to turn his head this time around as it came from the figure right beside him- from the 1st Infernal Lord herself!

Her eyes had lost their blue light as they turned a blank white, becoming completely emotionless as they stared towards Noah while the two of them floated in space. The delightful expression and melodious words of the past Infernal Lord were gone, her cold gaze telling Noah he was currently talking directly to the entity known as the Novus Galaxy itself!

She waved her hands as the trees below them stretched up and formed two mystical chairs of identical stature and length. The body of the Infernal Lord floated down to one as she pointed her hands towards the other, Noah’s body descending unto it as his eyes locked onto the figure in front of him.

Noah glanced at the blank eyes of this creature in front of him as he nodded, the entity known as the Novus Galaxy beginning to narrate a grand tale.
