Chapter 451 - The Battle of Geniuses!
[Luminescent Rainbow Dew] :: A consumable treasure found in the deeper locations of the Celestial Realm. Can be used to propel the rank of a being all the way to the World Rank, with the condition that their bodies can withstand the energy released by this treasure. Its rarity does not need to be stressed.
Noah’s eyes squinted at the description only apparent to his eyes as a hungry light erupted from him. The others only looked at this scintillating rainbow colored dew with fascination as the wizened Grandmaster Onillus continued speaking.
"Some of the geniuses that you may or may not know will be fighting in randomly selected battles in order to get their hands on this, a treasure that is capable of bringing a being fully into the World Realm."
...!
"What?!"
"This..."
"Holy!"
RUMBLE!
A buzz of essence and sounds rumbled out as a luminous treasure was given the identity of as if it was nothing. The Celestials only had shining eyes as they glanced at the treasure, while those from the Light Expanse looked at it with envious and longing eyes.
Those from the Dark Expanse had ashen faces as they saw a treasure that would most likely produce a World Realm expert to stand against them in the future, and they most likely had no way to prevent it as just the overseeing Grandmaster seemed to be in the World Realm himself!
World Realm experts were extremely rare, only those at the peak of powers being the ones to enjoy this mystical realm. Yet in this tournament they would watch, a Celestial would be given a treasure that would simply create a World Realm expert.
While their thoughts were troubled for the future, it made their desire for the Celestial Realm where this treasure was found to grow ever so higher!

Malthus the Spatial Magician was using his unique magic item to portray all that was happening here back to his forces in the Scholar’s Guild. So it was not just the beings here that were witnesses to what was about to occur, but the leaders of the powerful forces of the Dark Expanse as well.
"This Luminescent Rainbow Dew is the top treasure that the number one genius will be receiving, with the others getting varying levels of treasures that are in no way near this one in efficacy. As for the geniuses themselves, step into the field!"
The voice of Grandmaster Onillus reverberated out as figures of multiple beings stepped forward, the figures of Athena and Noah being among them as they grandly entered into the eyes of many.
From the circular ring of tens of thousands of beings surrounding the clear field, 32 beings stepped out. Shockingly, each of these beings were releasing waves of energy at the Domain Expansion Realm, with very few being in the lower Soul Forging Realm.
"These geniuses you see before you are the future defenders of the Light Expanse, but they have to prove their capabilities and show who shines the most among them."
Grandmaster Onillus waved his hands as 32 streaks of light shot out from him towards the geniuses that stepped forward. Noah grabbed the object shooting towards him as he found it to be a crystalline ball that pulsed with a hint of essence.
"The way to prove their capabilities is through combat, as we only care about which one has the most potential for us to foster! The White Crystals you have all received will act as your number. The moment it lights up, you will step forward and battle another genius who also had the White Crystal light up. The winner will advance forward, while the loser will step out!"

Clear guidelines for the matches to follow were laid out as many listened with shining eyes. There were 32 beings competing, so there would be 5 rounds to determine the ultimate winner. In the first round, only 16 winners will continue on. The second round will have only 8 continue forward, with the 3rd round having 4 continue, the fourth round having 2 continue, and these last two would fight in the final 5th round for the title of the Strongest Genius!
"Understood? Now step back once more so we can soon begin."
Grandmaster Onillus waved his hands impatiently in the air as the 32 geniuses pulled back slightly, many of them being powerful enough to hold the title of a Grandmaster, but they listened dutifully to the powerful World Rank Onillus.
Noah was looking at the White Crystal on his hands, his senses spread out in the surroundings to observe the beings he would be facing as he noted the names he had come across already.
The two Special Existences known as the Three-Eyed Fate Child and Grandmaster Light. The two with Noble Fates known as Grandmaster Xander and Grandmaster Lila.
There were a few others with genius Celestials, some with unique bodily compositions, and others who simply had monstrous comprehension abilities that allowed them to quickly master the techniques of fate and advance forward.
He was thinking of how he would act to take down those that stand against him when he heard the telepathic message of a particular Grandmaster in his mind.
"You two are faced with powerful opponents that have been cultivating even longer than you. Still, try your best to pass through the rounds and get a good position. Even if the Luminescent Rainbow Dew is out of reach, a high ranking will allow for even more resources to go to you!"
The strong voice filled with the care of Grandmaster Vredral rang in Noah and Athena’s ears as the two of them looked at each other, their gazes filled with confidence in their own abilities, even if others did not fully believe in them!
In one of the Prime Warsh.i.p.s, Grandmaster Vredral was watching with a group of Grandmasters that had teaching roles of bringing up talented Celestials. The Commanding Officer Raizel who had a post overseeing a portion of the Sanctum that Noah and Athena had met when they first came to the Celestial Realm was to his right, his head shaking as he glanced at the two that he had seen first not too long ago.
"When you brought them into the Celestial Realm, weren’t they still at the Void Realm? You’re really having them face other disciples at the Domain Expansion Realm after pushing their levels up so speedily?"
Commanding Officer Raizel asked his friend as he was in deep thought, a shining light passing through Grandmaster Vredral as he replied.
"Even though I cannot see the fates of those holding the title of Noble Fate, I have a feeling that these two will bring a great surprise to us in the future. I will stake my entire reputation on it!"
The words of the Grandmaster were filled with belief as they prepared to watch the matches that would soon begin.

The Adventures of Alan
What happens when a university professor somehow ends up in another world, where magic bends the laws of nature? Alan is, albeit unwillingly, about to find out. As a professor of physics, he has a decent understanding of how the world works, or so he likes to think. Armed only with his knowledge, Alan is thrown into a world very different from his own. In his new reality, he will meet both friends and foe, he will seek knowledge, he will build power, and perhaps he will even find love again? Follow Alan through his adventures, and find out for yourselves how he deals with the challenges thrown at him by a new world, while struggling with the issues brought with him from his old one. * Author’s note: A fair warning. This is the first time I’ve published anything, and basically the first time I’ve written anything more than mandatory school-stuff. The story will probably have inconsistencies, grammatical errors (not my native tongue, though that excuse is getting old), and potentially confusing (missing?) plot. I will naturally do my best to write something worth reading, but my main goal in writing this story is to have fun and explore the limits of my own creativity. My hope in publishing it here, is that I’ll reach someone who enjoy the story, and can push me forward towards writing more, as it is difficult at times to find the motivation to write just for myself. Additionally, I can’t really promise to have regular updates, as I have a full-time job that often likes to take the ‘full-time’ part literally, and a sporadic social life that occasionally surprises me (happy surprises mostly, so I shouldn’t complain). I’ll aim for once a week to start with, and take it from there. Happy reading! Cover photo by Jeff Hire (/photographer/gun4hire-58415), from https://freeimages.com/.

The Heroic Tales of Silas Horne
In the year 1858, the system came to the world. It brought with it beings from fantasy and mythology the likes of which the world had never seen before. In the American frontier, a place already known for being a dog eat dog world the system gave bandits the capacity for untold violence, not to mention monsters and system loving fanatics hell-bent on the murder of the innocent. But are they truly so innocent? No one knows what the system is or why it came, they do know one thing though. That the world post system isn't a place for a hero. Luckily for the world, U.S Marshall Silas Horne is no such man. ----- AN: This story is a litRPG inspired by "Randidly Ghosthound" and "The New World" but after reading many such stories and finding them to be a tad samey I decided to write this in a new setting, the Wild West. Also, my release schedule is chaotic, expect at least one 1000 word chapter each day but probably like two more will also be released.
