Divinity: Against The Godly System Chapter 617

"Are you leaving now?" Ryder asked Chaos.
The way Chaos was talking, it made him feel like he was going to leave.
"This place has nothing left for me anymore. So yeah, I'll leave now. But first, I need to do something," Chaos let out as he disappeared. He appeared in the room or Alice.
"Where did he go?" Seeing Chaos disappear, Ryder was surprised. He wondered if this guy already left.
"Don't work; he hasn't left yet. He is in the other room," Janus explained as he stood up. Instead of disappearing, he left through the door.
"The other room?" Ryder muttered, realizing that the other room belonged to Alice.
He also ran to that room, wondering why Chaos was there.
Entering the room, Ryder found Chaos standing before Alice.
Alice still had her eyes closed as she slept peacefully.
Stepping closer to her, Chaos placed his finger on the forehead of Alice.
As he removed his fingers, a speck of light came out of her forehead, which was grabbed by Chaos.
"What are you doing to her?" Ryder yelled, thinking that he was hurting her.
"Don't worry; I'm just taking something which doesn't belong to you. She is perfectly fine. I haven't woken her up," Chaos told Ryder as he stared at the speck of light in his hand.
"What is that?" Ryder asked, staring at the speck of light.
"It's nothing you should be concerned about," Chaos replied as he turned back to leave.
"It's time I leave. Janus, you know what to do after I leave, right? Just contact me if you face any problem. I'll be finding others in the meantime," he added before he ultimately disappeared.

As Chaos disappeared, Alicia also opened her eyes. She had woken up from the scream of Ryder, but Chaos was keeping her asleep.
"What are you doing here?" Alice asked Ryder, stunned to see him in her room at this time. "Did you need something?"
Ryder looked at Janus, who was completely ignored. He wondered if Alice could even see Ryder. She didn't ask who this boy was?
"Why are you looking there? Is something there?' she asked Ryder.
"She can't see me. You don't have to worry," Janus also confirmed. "Anyway, I'll also leave now. You'll still have the system I gave you to help you, along with all your abilities. But you don't have the bracelet, so you can't use any Immunity."
"You can, however, use the abilities you had accumulated before. Use them well and stay alert," he reminded Ryder before he also started disappearing.
"Will I see you again?" Ryder asked Janus, seeing his figure become transparent.
"Maybe..." Janus muttered before he disappeared.
"Who are you talking to?" Alice asked Ryder, seeing her talk to thin air.
"No one. I just came here to see something. I'm done; I'll take my leave." Ryder also left the room, not waiting anymore.
"Hmm? Strange." Confused, Alice went back to sleep.
...
Ryder walked to his room and sat on his bed as he observed himself.
He opened the Stat Screen to see his stats which were the same as last time.
Almost everything seemed the same. The only difference was that some of his old skills were missing and his species was written as [Human?]
"What the heck? Why is there a question mark after my species? Is it because even the system isn't sure what I am?"

He tried bringing fire out of his hands, using Aluren's abilities and succeeded, but he understood he could no longer enter their semi-god form.
He soon stood up and took off all his clothes to see if the other things were the same as well, like his body proportions.
After making sure that everything was how it should be, he breathed a sigh of relief.
"Thank you, Chaos. For giving me my freedom and for listening to me," he muttered as he got dressed again before he walked back to the bed to sleep.
...
In the unknown place, Chaos appeared out of thin air.
The place where he appeared seemed like a barren planet that had nothing but mountains.
He was standing on top of the tallest mountain in this place.
Looking down, he waved his hand to make a big hole in the ground before tossing the speck of light in that hole. He soon filled up the hole before leaving this place.
As he left, he didn't even bother looking back once.
...
Janus had left Ryder's house and started the search for the Lord of Space just for show. Of course, he knew that guy was dead, so he didn't put any effort into it. He was just searching casually as if he was sightseeing.
Soon, he was contacted by one of the gods with the communication stone.
It was the Goddess of Water who was contacting them. She was saying that she found something and she was asking for others to come to her right away.
All the other gods approached her, wondering what had happened.
"What happened?"
As soon as Janus reached the goddess of water, he was able to see other gods already present there. They were asking questions.
"I think the Lord of Space was recently here. Also, I found this communication stone here. It has his aura all over it! Moreover, it also has someone else's aura," The Goddess of Water explained as she showed a red crystal she had picked up.
"That's the aura of my son! It's the stone he carried with him! It's confirmed, the Lord of Space kidnapped my son! That bastard!" The God of War roared furiously as he recognized his aura.
He couldn't help but stomp his feet on the ground, causing an earthquake.
"Calm down! And answer us this first. Why did he have this stone? Wasn't it against the rules?"
"Shut up! He only carried this in case there was ever a need to contact us all in case of an emergency like this! My son is kidnapped, and you're focusing on small things like this? Grow up!" The God of War fumed, diverting the topic.
"That's right. We have more important things to do. All our sons are still missing and it seems like Lord of War took them," he added, sighing.
"That also raises a question. Why would he leave this behind? I mean, he kidnapped your son and came here to toss this stone? That doesn't seem like it!"
" Yeah. Something is strange. But only Lord of Space can answer why he did what he did. We need to find him first!" The God of War accepted.

Gaslgiht
There is a common line of questioning that falls upon students within their first moments at Kingsly. “Why?”. The student asks, “Why am I here?”. This is a futile line of questioning. There are those who remember, and those who do not. I’ll spare you the technical explanation — that’s what we have teachers for. The jist is as follows: those who remember are... how do I put this... more likely. They occupy more time. and the space that time has allowed them — the pertinent amount — is experienced no matter what. Allow me to offer you a bit of personal information: I am not one who remembers. There is no time relevant to me, no space that I occupy. I exist by carving myself here, and continue to exist in the same fashion. You would do well to follow suit. Why am I here? Because I force myself to be. Because the universe, the universes, for all its kicking and screaming, cannot escort me out.

Almost a Good Person
A memory, a memory of a boy who wanted more than pain, of a girl who wanted more than death, and an Isle that should not exist. The Isle of Red is a small, unassuming, quiet place. It is just large enough for a college, a small town, and maybe even a few more unusual sorts of places. Of course, the townsfolk practically know each other as family. Flush-faced regulars can be found toasting just about anything in the Briar's Brew, then, a few streets away, the same haggle of older women stationed themselves on their perch as they did every day from one of the few balconies in Central Square. They fuss away now, spouting the usual gossip as they watch us all from on high. Then there is the College here on the Isle of Red. My college. It has been often described as an unusual place by a good deal of people on the mainland. If they only would visit -why I am sure they'll soon have a change of heart, they may even come to find it a quaint sort of place, odd but in the same way a tattered old quilt can be both odd looking and warm, and especially soft. We teach mostly the same sort of disciplines here, with fantastic and absolutely normal professors.I must conclude that I am quite smitten with myself. The stage is set with a level of perfection that would have astonished me in my youth. They are coming. Derek will follow her. He knows the weight of reality too intimately, but she will be his true north if only for a short time. A beacon in the storm to show him the stunning pastels and brightness the sun may yet refract through his thinner, sharper pieces. Theoline will lead as she always has- well not always, not yet. She holds onto questions feverishly tight, that one. Lights them up inside like a new type of fuel without the slightest worry of being burned. She knows... There is but a certain few who can look at a map and find nothing where I stand but the Atlantic Ocean. And still, there is earth beneath me, a noisy pub down the road from me, and several people clucking conspiratorially on a balcony above me. She knows... that the Isle of Red doesn't belong here. Neither, technically, do I. (Hello!
