Divinity: Against The Godly System Chapter 163

"I will do as you say. I will become the guild master when that system becomes available," Ryder answered Shu.
"Hahaha, That's more like it," Shu smilingly replied.
They walked inside the Bowling Alley.
"Let's take the corner lane. That's the only one that's still empty," Shu suggested as they saw that there was space at the end.
They didn't expect the Bowling Alley to be this crowded, but there was one place free for them.
"You go there and secure the place. I'll bring some drinks," Ryder told Shu before he walked towards the reception that sold beverages and alcohol.
He purchased two cold drink cans for himself and for Shu. He paid for them using his phone.
After getting the drinks, he turned back only to find some people arguing with Shu.
There were three bulky men, surrounding Shu. They were talking to him, but it seemed like they were threatening him.
Ryder hurriedly walked there.
He moved one of the bulky men to the side and stepped closer to Shu.
"What's happening here?" Ryder asked Shu.
"Did you just touch me?" The Man that Ryder had touched glared at Ryder in anger.
"Answer me," Ryder ignored the man and asked Shu again.
"It's nothing. They came here and told me to leave as they want to bowl at this place," Shu replied to Ryder.
"Are you ignoring me?" the man let out as he extended his hand towards Ryder's shoulders.
He was annoyed at being ignored, and he wanted to grab Ryder.
Ryder turned back and caught the hand of the man. He didn't apply much force on his hand, though.
"Guys. Can you please behave? We are a civilized society. Don't act like idiots. My friend came here first. You can't force your way," He told the men before he released the hand of the man.

"I don't care who came here first. You kids should go play somewhere else. Let the big boys stay here," Another man commented.
"Are you the boss of this place?" Ryder asked the man.
"No," the man shook his head. "But even the boss won't dare say a thing. We are from the Dark Dragon Gang. we rule this place!"
"The Dark Dragon Gang?" Ryder asked in surprise.
"Hehehe, Scared? Yeah. We are from the Dark Dragon Gang,"
"Never heard of it before. Is your gang new?" Ryder asked with a wry smile on his face.
" You dare insult our clan! Don't blame us for breaking your bones!" the man roared as he punched towards Ryder's face.
Ryder brought his hand towards his face and caught the fist of the man.
"That counts as an attack," Ryder smiled as he pressed the man's fist tightly, which made the man cry in pain. Ryder kicked the man, making him fly towards the bowling lane.
The man crashed on the center of the bowling lane, but he kept sliding towards the other side until he struck the ten pins at the end.
"Strike. I guess I still have the talent," Ryder chuckled as he looked towards the man.
The other two guys were shocked to see their friend thrown away like a toy, but they didn't let it intimidate them.
One of them attacked Ryder while the other one targeted Shu.
Ryder ignored the one that was targeting him and moved towards the one that targeted Shu.
He stepped before Shu and attacked the man, whose fist was coming towards Ryder's face.
Their fist clashed with each other, which ended with the scream of the man as the bones of his fist were broken from the impact.

Ryder kicked the chest of the man, making him fly back. The man crashed on the wall. His head was swollen because of the impact, and he lost consciousness.
There was only one man left who had stopped his attack as he heard his friend's cry of pain.
He was scared now that he had seen both of his friends being trounced.
"Y-you think you won! Just you wait! Don't leave this place if you have the balls!" The man let out as he tried to run, but Ryder stepped forth and caught his shirt, preventing him from running away.
"Sigh, it would've been better for me if you had attacked me properly, but I can't tell you to attack me either. It doesn't work that way. And you won't dare to attack me either—such a wasted opportunity. I wonder if that small attempt will count," Ryder let out with a wry smile on his face as he pulled the man back and caught both of his hands.
"Should I break your hands?" Ryder asked the man.
"N-no, please!" the man replied. No matter how he tried. He couldn't free his hand.
"Sigh, Do you know who I am?" Ryder asked him.
"No. Who are you?" the man asked as he looked at Ryder in full seriousness.
"I'm the man that broke your hands," Ryder let out before he twisted the hand of the man, breaking his hands. He kicked the man, making him crash on the ground.
'I guess it did count, ' he thought.
"Sigh, My mood is spoiled. Let's just leave," Ryder told Shu, who was looking at him strangely.
"Are you coming?" Ryder asked him again.
"Ah, Right. Let's go," Shu responded as he walked towards Ryder.
They left the bowling alley.
"I didn't know that you were so strong. Wow. I felt like I was watching the Treminator from the Treminator Movie. How can you be so strong? The men were so bigger than you," Shu asked Ryder.
"Body size isn't proportional to strength. It helps, but that's not all. Look at the martial artists as an example," Ryder replied to Shu.
"Oh, on that topic, I remembered a rumor that there are some Ancient Cultivators in this country. Have you heard anything about that?" Ryder asked Shu, hoping that he would know something since he had the invitation to the girl's birthday party, which was the clue of the ancient cultivator family.
"Ancient Cultivators? You mean the ones from the Xianxia novels? I have no idea. I don't think I've heard anything about that," Shu shook his head. "It should just be a rumor."
"Maybe," Ryder muttered.
"Do you want to do something else, or can I go back and sleep?" He inquired.
"You can go back. I don't think we should do anything else today. The start of our day hadn't been what I expected," Shu told Ryder as he shook his head.
He waited for a response from Ryder, but he was stunned to see him looking dazed.

A (Not So) Simple Fetch Quest
Oh great hero! The evil Demon Lord has once again arisen to terrorise our lands, and we have summoned you to save our people! No, we don't want you to fight the demon lord! Of course not; we're the good guys! What sort of good guys kidnap people from other worlds and force them to take part in wars that have nothing to do with them? That would just be plain evil! We'd be no better than the demons! Katie, after her summoning by an excessively loud mage suddenly takes an unexpected twist, is sent off on a simple fetch quest, with a promise that she'll be back home in five minutes at most. She doesn't even need to leave the building. Alas, when a goddess' blessing causes her wish for an actual adventure to be taken rather more literally than she expected, she finds herself lost in a dark cave, far away from the sword she was supposed to acquire and far too close to a population of giant bugs. Still, at least she wished her life wasn't in any danger. Among other things. Be careful what you wish for. You might just get it. This is a dark litRPG adventure, both in terms of Katie accidentally wishing all the lights out, and also in that she loses as often as she wins, often with horrific and disturbing consequences. Luckily, Katie isn’t the sort of person to let a mere grizzly death or two get her down, and is prepared to try, try and try again to get her hands on the holy sword and finally complete her ‘simple’ fetch quest. Or perhaps—with a few resistance skills under her nightie—she might even come to enjoy losing. Not that she’d ever consider forgoing revenge, even if she did. I’ve ticked all the content warning checkboxes for this one. There’s no explicit sexual content, but there are enough references to justify the warning. Profanity happens rarely, but Katie isn’t averse to swearing when she gets particularly angry. As for gore/trauma, it doesn’t get much worse than the first few chapters, but there will be occasional chapters that have extra content warnings.

Paladin
When the first derelict alien spacecraft fell to Earth, humanity took what was found in it and propelled themselves to new heights. In their new Golden Age, humanity developed technology that they had only dreamed about. The following years saw hundreds more ships crash into the planet, spurring even greater technological leaps. An unassuming spacecraft, one of the dozens that fell yearly, descended on Siberia in 2021. The world took no particular notice of it. However, this one contained something beyond the miraculous technology that had made humans so prosperous. Three years later, in a top-secret underground facility in eastern Colorado, the automated construction of an army of Paladin Mobile Infantry Suits was underway. With this new, state-of-the-art weaponry, the military would turn the tide against the alien incursion that was consuming the planet. Humanity fell before that could happen. Sam was an engineer responsible for overseeing the facility. Now alone, he lives in utter boredom and near insanity, his only company the base’s pseudo AI and an army of empty Paladins. With the world gone to hell around him, and the things that caused it still living above, he decides that he is much better off staying exactly where he is. Unfortunately for him, that is no longer an option. This is the first novel I've written. The first fifteen or so chapters are going to be a little slower. I want there to be time to get to know the characters before they start blowing stuff up. Also, though the MC will be strong relative to the world, he won't be OP, and won't win every fight. Not every fight will be physical either. Currently, I'm aiming for something like 5 fairly short chapters a week, after the introduction part is done, but we'll see how that goes. Thanks for reading, and please let me know if I've made mistakes!
