Losing Money To Be A Tycoon Chapter 1013

Chapter 1013: I Didn’t Sell Anything!
At noon, Tian Mo and Zhuang Dong, who had changed their appearances, returned to the shop after having lunch in the shopping mall.
Tian Mo specially treated Zhuang Dong to a buffet barbecue in order to celebrate. The two of them ate until their mouths were full of oil and were in a good mood.
After the stylist’s careful work, Zhuang Dong finally looked like a human.
Of course, it was impossible for there to be too many drastic changes. After all, a person’s temperament was innate. The subtle movements displayed by every move could not be changed overnight. The stylist could not possibly spend so much time correcting these subtle changes.
However,Zhuang Dong was no longer that naive and silly country boy just from the way he dressed. He gave off a very different vibe.
The two of them returned to the shop after lunch and officially opened for business.
It might be a Saturday but there was a lot of traffic in the shopping mall, the location of this shop was not considered a prime location on this floor. In addition, the signboard at the entrance was too low-profile, so no one came for the time being.
At first, Tian Mo was still sitting upright and serious, but he soon collapsed.
A few customers passed by the door, but they only took a few glances at the shop before leaving. They did not seem to be very interested.
Tian Mo was a little bored.
After some thought, he handed the notebook with the rules to Zhuang Dong so that he could read and memorize it slowly.
Zhuang Dong looked like he had found a treasure. He held the notebook very sincerely and found a seat inside to sit down. He looked very serious.
On the other hand, Tian Mo switched on the television and flipped through the physical game CDs. Finally, he chose Struggle and started playing it.
What he was considering was that Struggle was an interactive movie game. There was no need to be too focused when playing it. It could stop at any time so that customers could greet them in time when they arrived. What’s more, the game’s graphics were not bad. It could leave a good impression on customers.
Customers finally came in after playing for a while.
Tian Mo immediately put down the controller and stood up to receive them.
The customer who came to the shop was an older brother in his thirties. He was wearing a leather jacket and looked like he was not lacking in money.
He picked up a display machine from the counter and asked, “Are you selling cell phones? What brand is this? I don’t think I’ve seen your shop before.”

Tian Mo quickly answered, “This is an OTTO cell phone, a cell phone developed by Tengda Corporation. We are a Tengda specialty store that sells Tengda’s products.”
Big Brother was enlightened. “Oh! I knew that the logo at the door looked familiar. Tengda has opened a specialty store. Not bad, not bad. How much is this cell phone? Is it at this price? Is there a discount?”
Tian Mo could not help but secretly rejoice. I know this question! Boss Pei taught me before!
He immediately answered truthfully, “I’m sorry, there’s no discount. What’s more, I don’t recommend that you buy it now. That’s because this is a model from more than a year ago. The configurations are a little outdated. The price-quality ratio is not high. It would be a loss if you buy it now.”
Big Brother looked up at him and almost thought that he had heard wrongly.
“You don’t recommend purchasing it? I’ll make a loss buying it now?”
“You’re really interesting. This is the first time I’ve seen someone do business like this.”
Big Brother put the cell phone down. In fact, he was just asking casually. He had no intention of buying it. What’s more, the shop assistant had already said that this cell phone was a product from more than a year ago. Wouldn’t it be stupid to buy it?
Big Brother looked around the shop and saw the Fully-Automated Bickering Machine.
“What is this?”
Tian Mo immediately introduced. “This is called the Fully-Automated Bickering Machine. Its main function is to bicker, and its secondary function is to be used as an echo wall. Let me demonstrate…”
It was a good thing that Tian Mo had already roughly understood the usage of these products in the store. Otherwise, it would be too awkward to check the instructions on the spot.
Obviously, this big brother did not know much about Tengda’s products.
That was normal as well. Tengda’s products might be popular on the internet, but it mainly affected young people. People like this big brother who were in their thirties or forties or even older might have only heard of Tengda Corporation’s name. They probably did not know much about their cell phones and Fully-Automated Bickering Machines.
Tian Mo did as Boss Pei said. He started off by talking about the flaws of the Fully-Automated Bickering Machine. He said that the gimmick was greater than the essence. If he were to consider the price-quality ratio, it would be more worth it to buy the echo wall of some big brands.
The big brother listened intently the entire time. After Tian Mo finished his introduction, he sighed and said, “There’s a problem with this and that. Why do you always say that the price-quality ratio is not high?”

“Don’t tell me that you don’t recommend any of your products?”
“Then why did you put these things out?”
Tian Mo was speechless. “Ah, this…”
That’s right. If everything was not recommended like what Boss Pei said, then was the point of opening this shop?
Tian Mo himself did not know why. How could he explain this to the customers?
The older brother saw that Tian Mo was stunned and was amused. “Forget it, I was just joking with you. I feel that you guys are quite conscientious when it comes to selling things. Other sales would try their best to hide their shortcomings, but you guys are good. Tell us your shortcomings honestly. It’s a little like ‘the willing get hooked’.”
“Alright, thank you. I’ll come again when you guys release products.”
The Big Brother walked away.
Tian Mo scratched his head and continued playing games on the sofa.
…
In the blink of an eye, the entire afternoon passed.
Tian Mo looked at his watch. It was already five in the afternoon. It was time to knock off.
According to Boss Pei, the working hours in the sales department were relatively free. They had two days off and eight hours of work per day. Once there were more people, Tian Mo would be free to arrange for shifts.
Now, there were only Tian Mo and Zhuang Dong in the entire sales department. Thus, there was no need to be so particular. Boss Pei would not pursue the matter for those who were late and left early. Naturally, no one else could interfere.
Many people came that afternoon. Basically, those who visited digital products shops on this floor would come to take a look.
However, Tian Mo discovered something very awkward. If it were young people, most of them would know about Tengda products such as Otto Technologies and Fully-Automated Bickering Machine. They would have bought those that they wanted long ago and would not have waited until now. On the other hand, the older ones might not have heard of these products but after Tian Mo’s honest introduction, they would not have any thoughts of buying them.
Thus, the sales volume for the entire afternoon was zero.
Not a single item was sold!
Not to mention cell phones and Fully-Automated Bickering Machine, not a single game CD was sold.
There was even a big sister who was very angry and criticized Tian Mo. That was because the big sister felt that Tian Mo did not introduce the product properly and kept saying that everything about the product was not good. She did not respect her and made Tian Mo unable to explain himself.
The afternoon passed in a blur.
Zhuang Dong did not get involved in these things. He had been memorizing the rules on the sofa in the play area, observing and learning how Tian Mo received customers.
Zhuang Dong was obviously confused after observing for a while.
He might not know much about sales but he had bought many things since he was young.
He had never seen anyone who would talk about the shortcomings of their products.
However, that was indeed what he was memorizing.
“Brother Gou, I’ve roughly remembered this rule. However, I have a question. Are you sure that this is what Boss said? Why do I feel that it’s so unreliable? We failed to sell anything in the afternoon! Boss won’t be angry, right?”
Zhuang Dong was obviously confused.
Tian Mo was confused as well, but he was 100% sure that Boss Pei had said those words himself.
“Why don’t we call it a day? Let’s have dinner and then go home to rest.”
“I have to think about what went wrong. Did I not understand Boss Pei’s true intentions?”
“This afternoon was really wasted. We didn’t manage to sell anything and only received a few praises. They said that our sales are very conscientious and that we know how to be considerate to our customers…”
“But what’s the use of praising us? We have to sell as many things as possible!”
Tian Mo might have expected to encounter such an embarrassing situation previously but he did not expect that nothing would be sold in such a huge shopping mall.
He had thought that business would be bad, but he had not expected it to be this bad!
The key was that Boss Pei had also said to let him train here. There would be bigger shops for him to take over in the future.
How could he have the face to take over a bigger shop if this was the result of his training?
Tian Mo was very frustrated. He only wanted to go back and have a good rest now. He wanted to think deeply about what went wrong.
There was definitely no problem with Boss Pei. He could only blame himself for not being capable enough.
