Prince And His Fool (Boylove) Chapter 35

Since his misguided confession the day before, Rong Zian had been avoiding the prince like the plague. If Wu Yange turned east he would head west. If he turned left by virtue of instinct Rong Zian would blindly turn right, causing him to once trip into a chicken coop offending a mating rooster in the process.
It was the funniest sight Wu Yange had ever seen his entire life and for the second time, Ying Tie watched the usually solemn prince bursting into unrestrained laughter all because of Rong Zian. If he didn't know any better he would think the prince was possessed but even he had to admit, it was pretty funny.
The day of departure had finally arrived but Wu Yange was feeling disgruntled. He had shamelessly hoped the events of the other night would recur but nothing happened for the entire night. Rong Zian showed no signs of moving except a few times as he shifted into different sleeping positions. This explained the prince's terrible mood this morning.
Since he hadn't slept well the previous night, he had overslept and when he finally arose from his slumber the cause of his insomnia was nowhere in sight. By the time he was done washing-up, his original radiant skin was restored with no trace of restlessness. In fact, he was as elegant and striking as before along with his usual indifferent cold expression.
As soon as he exited the room he shared with Rong Zian, he met Ying Tie who was anxiously waiting for him. They exchanged a few words about their next destination as they walked down the corridor.
Wu Yange was immersed in their conversation like an overbearing CEO getting an update from his assistant on a Monday morning when something caught his eye. He noticed a certain someone crowded by giggling ladies, Ying Tianshi included standing so close to Rong Zian in a possessive manner. All the other girls didn't dare come close to him but no one forbade them from flaunting their assets and batting their eyelashes at him.

Naturally, Rong Zian was a friendly talkative person, a beacon that drew people close to him and that helped him offload his products on these girls, flattering their money out of their cute purses. He had already sold out almost all his products by the time Wu Yange and Ying Tie approached him.
He briefly glanced at the pair of tyrants as he continued persuading Ying Tianshi to buy the last fragranced shampoo. Ying Tie was whispering something into the prince ear which gave him a bad premonition that shit was about to go down.
"He made a lot of money since morning, the kind of money that could sponsor his gateway. One of the girls heard him mention a vacation or something like that. He might be thinking of running," instigated the unruly cannon fodder Ying Tie hitting the prince's soft spot.
The brawny man seemed satisfied with himself though he tattled like a three-year-old which went against his code of ethics. But you have to understand the guy, he had lost his upper hand when it came to Rong Zian so he opted for psychological warfare instead.
"Then let's not give him a means of escape. Confiscate it," commanded the prince with a malicious grin that made Rong Zian 's jolt in fright. Wu Yange really didn't want to take Rong Zian's earnings from him but Rong Zian plus money meant he might take off. Besides him not wanting Rong Zian leaving for selfish reasons, he was also concerned for him. If he breaches the blood contract, the emperor wouldn't let him off easy. Though it pained him, he had to resort to such methods just to save the man's neck.
Ying Tie frowned slightly and complained, "Why me? What if he flips on me?" but when he saw the deadly stare penetrating deep into his skin, he ceased to complain and casually walked over to Rong Zian desperately trying to calm his nerves. With no warning, he grabbed the poor guy's money bag and the few teals he had in his hand.

"Hey that's mine you can't take that," yelled Rong Zian attempting to snatch back his money from Ying Tie's grasp but the other party retreated so fast as though avoiding the plague handing over the money to Wu Yange. The frivolous prince grinned as he tossed the money bag in the air a couple of times before storing it away.
Rong Zian was extremely irritated but his face showed no evidence of it refusing to give the bully any satisfaction but that didn't stop him from secretly swearing. A moment of epiphany loomed over him and he uttered, "Your Highness since you can read minds you must be fully aware of what I think of you!"
Ying Tie's brows knitted together perplexed by Rong Zian 's words he couldn't help respond, "Who told you that? Since when has he ever read minds?" Rong Zian never ceased to amaze him with his lunacy but this time it seemed as though the idiot had been pranked judging from his stupefied expression.
The poor guy felt as though a bucket of cold water had poured over his body when he realised he had been played. He had been conned by Wu Yange into confessing his unintentional crime and would have continued admitting his future offences assuming that the bastard already read his mind if it weren't for the brainless Ying Tie blurting it out.
Flustered and embarrassed, he cursed, "Yan Yan you are such a dick," disregarding the ladies eavesdropping on their conversation.
"What did you call me?" asked Wu Yange in a daunting tone moving a few forward with an 'I am going to kick your ass' expression written all over his face. Ying Tie held him back struggling to coax him but Rong Zian didn't appreciate his kind gesture and continued aggravating the already livid prince.
Rong Zian was thinking of another comeback when his line of sight fell on Wu Yange's bruised lip instantly recognising the lip hickey. His lips curved in a malicious way and proceeded to mock the prince, "Wow, wow Yan Yan I really underestimated you. it turns out you are not a monk after all. That lip hickey speaks volumes…..I wonder which of these ladies took your chastity?" Witnessing the prince's expression shift rapidly between angry and embarrassed, it amused Rong Zian for he had stumbled upon Wu Yange's Achilles heel.
Wu Yange was like a nuclear bomb ready to explode especially when the lip hickey was mentioned in front of a bunch of girls by the perpetrator himself. He forced down his anger and walked away to dissolve the situation but he was in no way done with Rong Zian, as the saying goes 'revenge is a dish best served cold.'

Battles are fought on the old highways and in dilapidated towns and once-great cities. And as the conflict escalates, all of North America faces the threat of being burnt away by nuclear fire. Against this backdrop of war, Alexandra tries to uncover the long-hidden secrets behind the plague, her abilities, and the two men fighting to decide the fate of the United States - Henry Bedford, Alexandra's father and leader of the Directorate, and John Martin, the mysterious figure at the heart of the New England Alliance who may hold the key to everything she seeks. None of this will matter, however, unless Alexandra can prevent the power growing inside her from taking over and consuming the very world she is fighting to save. Author's Notes: I appreciate you taking a look at my novel, The Girl from the Mountain. If you're a fan of post-apocalyptic fiction, military thrillers, and/or cosmic horror, I think you'll enjoy this story. I completed the novel's first draft back in 2011 and made significant changes in 2016. Since then, I've more-or-less sat on the manuscript while working on other projects. Thanks to a bit of prodding, I've decided to send this story out into the wild with some touch-ups and additional revisions. I welcome any comments or criticisms, and I hope you enjoy The Girl from the Mountain!
