The Vampire's Love: You Are My Destiny Chapter 274

The cursed King was smiling while watching the soul eater vase.
The spirit has been trapped inside the vase for a few days now. It's about time to find out whose spirit has entered his domain bravely and foolishly?
He picked up the vase and put it in the middle of the table, and opened the lid. Then he went back to his seat.
He waved his hand at the vase. "Come out now! Don't worry, I won't hurt you!" he said, smiling devilishly. He was still wearing Graven's image, for some unknown reason, he likes his good looks. Laura would surely come to him willingly if he will disguise as her husband.
Inside the Soul Eater Vase.
Luke heard the unfamiliar voice of a man originating from the outside. He only hears that voice today. Who is that guy? He must be the King? Or he could be anyone? If his suspicion is right, the owner of the voice must be the King himself. If that is the case, then he is in grave danger!
If he won't leave the vase, the owner of the voice might get angry and finish him off!
It's better to face the enemy than hiding and die without fighting!
He floated out of the vase and saw the owner of the voice!
Holy cow!
He was shocked because the guy looks like his brother Graven! From hair to everything! But his voice is different! That shattered the disguise!
The King looked at the spirit floating in the air that looks like Graven. He must be the twin!
"Hello, twin brother! You and I look exactly alike, the difference lies in the hair and the voice, am I right?" the King said, grinning in amusement.
"W-who are you? Why are you impersonating my brother?" Luke asked.
"I am the Vampire King who reigns supreme thousand years ago. My kingdom has long been gone. But I'm finally awakened in this new world completely different from my world in the past. I am destined to rule this world again. Are you interested in joining me and help me in achieving my grand purpose in this new world?" the King offered.
Luke laughed. "Are you kidding me!? You can't even leave this place! How can you rule the world?" he mocked him.
The King was enraged by the brazen attitude of this rude spirit. "Well, if I can't leave this place, then so are you! You will rot here!" he said angrily.
Luke's face grew serious. "I want to leave this place. Show me the way now!" he ordered.
The King erupted into peals of laughter. "Are you crazy? Ordering me like that? Who the hell are you?"

Luke glared at the King furiously. "Open the portal to the outside now! Or I'll pulverize you!" he threatened him.
The King's amused laughter vibrated around the room. "Dream on! Come on! Show me what you got!" he encouraged him.
"Stupid King!" Luke hissed and released fire in his hands. But nothing comes out! The flames refused to come out from his fingers and palms. What the hell is going on?
The King's laughter grew thunderous due to extreme diversion. He never had a good laugh for a long time ever since he was imprisoned in this forsaken place!
On the other hand, Luke was getting desperate! Why can't he weld his power? He wants to kill the king! But no matter how hard he tries, he can't produce deadly flames from his hands!
"Look at you! You look pathetic trying to wield your nonexistent power! In this place, I am the only one with the power! I will spare you the torture. Your power won't work here! You are powerless and useless when you are under my custody. I won't be that stupid to allow you to harm me. So if I were you, stop forcing yourself! Have a seat!" the King ordered.
Luke obeyed. He hovered on the chair and settled down.
"Why are you here?" the King asked.
"I'm curious about you," Luke answered.
"Are you here for your brother and his men? Are you here to rescue the prisoners?" the King asked.
Luke didn't reply.
"What? Are you getting mute now?" the King asked him again.
"Let me go! I want to leave this place now!" Luke demanded.
"Oh, look at you! You're like a child throwing a tantrum!" the King said.
Luke throws daggers at the smug face of the King.
The King smirked. "Oh, you're angry? Are you mad that I'm enjoying my time making fun of you? You should be thankful that you were able to make me laugh, or else I already killed you!" he snapped at him.
Luke sighed and kept his mouth shut. After he discovered that he no longer has any power left to defend himself, he was devastated. Now, he regretted coming into the King's territory. He should have listened to Grandpa Terros's warning! But he was stubborn and insisted on coming here. Now, he becomes the King's latest prisoner! He was stupidly digging his own grave!
He looked at the King and asked, "Where is my brother? And his men?"
"Your brother already went home after receiving the antidote from me. Don't worry, half of your brother's men are imprisoned here with you, you're not alone," the King replied with a smirk.

"Where are they?" Luke asked. "Can you please take me to them?" he requested.
The King shook his head. "No, you can't join them. You must stay in this room. You are my special guest! I must keep you alive so that your brother Graven will be happy seeing you here. And who knows, he might finally bring the people that I requested him for a long time," he said,
Luke's brows furrowed in confusion. He knows that the King only wanted Laura. "Aside from Laura, who is the other person that you are talking about?" he asked.
"No other than the person who concocted the cure against the black liquid," the King replied. "I want that person to work for me! She can cure me completely!"
"Who is this person?" Luke insisted.
The King looked at the spirit, he wore an annoyed expression on his face. "How the hell I know? Only your brother knows. He refused to tell me! And one more thing, stop asking me questions! You're getting annoying!" he rose to his feet and left the room.
Surprisingly, the door vanished along with the irritable King.
Luke was shocked. What the hell! Did the King leave him just like that? How rude! And why is the door disappeared along with the King?
Weird room!
Damn!
He can't leave this place!
Now that his power is gone, he is useless! He never expected that the King can be this powerful in his territory. He thought that he can sneak up on him easily and leave the place quickly. He was wrong!
Now he was stuck in here and subject to the King's irritable mood, he might kill him anytime if he got annoyed with his presence. He should avoid challenging the King's bottom line, or else, he's dead meat!
Now all he can do is wait for his brother to rescue him! Despite what happened between them because of Laura, he knows his brother well. He won't rest until he can find a way to rescue him and his men.
That's the only consolation he can hold onto during these difficult times.
He floated around the room for a few minutes, trying to find the elusive exit, but he failed.
He went back to the table and looked at the vase. He moved his hands, trying to hold the object. His purpose is to throw it on the floor to destroy it completely! Because he doesn't want to be imprisoned inside again, unfortunately, nothing happens!
Dammit! He can't even hold the damn vase!
He's so useless!
He's now cursing the King in his mind. Wait when his power returned! He will pulverize that King's body into ashes!
He was furious!
He was super annoyed with himself for coming into this place! If only he can turn back time, he wouldn't dare come here!
He was overly confident that he can defeat the cursed King. In the end, he has now become his prisoner!
What a pity! Shame on him!
Suddenly, he remembered his body! Oh no! Where is his body now?
Then he recalled that Grandpa Terros was there when he separated his soul from his body. He was sure that Grandpa will take care of his body no matter how long it will take him to return to his body.
He released a deep sigh.
What a huge mess he had created for himself!
He must to his body the soonest possible time or else it will rot in a matter of days!
If his original body starts decomposing, he will become a wandering spirit! Powerless and pathetic!
No! He can't allow something like that to happen to him!
He must get out of this basement as soon as possible!
He's getting desperate!
After some time, the door appeared again, and the King entered the windowless and doorless room.
The King sat on the chair facing the disgruntled spirit. "You're looking like a child whose favorite toy was taken away by his playmate. Are you worried that you won't be able to get out of here alive? I wonder what is the status of your body right now? It must be already rotting somewhere! It's a pity that you can no longer go back to your body! You will become a hunted spirit soon! Or I'll give you an alternative, I can make your spirit disappear forever, and you will never be reincarnated again!"
Anger was flashing in Luke's eyes. "Cut the crap! Get to the point!" he shouted.
"Alright, you're too excited!" the King grinned. "I will borrow your spirit. I will try to leave this place, and if I succeeded, I will find your body and owned it. The next thing to do is find Laura, suck her blood, and the rest is history..."
"No way! You can't steal my body and pretend that I am me!" Luke said vehemently.
The King beamed. "Well, too bad you can't stop me!" he spoke and waved his hand at the spirit.
A black cloud gathered in front of Luke and entered his nostrils.
"Aghhhhhhh! Go awayyyyyyyy!" Luke screamed in pain.

The Legend of Ghost
This is a quick novella origin story to one of fan-favorite characters in the ZERO universe, Sam Dobbs, a.k.a. Slade Gardner, a.k.a. the Ghost. I wrote it for current ZERO series fans, after many insistent, fervent, teary-eyed demands. Still, I think it pretty much works as a stand-alone, so I'll post it here. (He gets the name Ghost later, not as part of this story...this is just the why he decided to do what he did, being slightly insane and all.) Lots of easter eggs for current fans. 15k words total, chapters will be approx. 2.5k each. Oh, and if you get turned off by crazy, hyperintelligent antisocials being crazy, hyperintelligent antisocials, this isn't the story for you. ;)

Soul Core Online
Soul Core Online was a game that few people were interested in until after it was released, due to its odd way of handling character growth but this soon changed as people started to realise just how different this game was. Unlike many of its predecessors the NPCs in Soul Core Online acted in a way that was indistinguishable from real people and the world felt alive because of this instead of the empty and sterile cities we had come to expect, even walking down the street could give you insights to how these people lived. In my case this was the world that I had always wanted to visit and I soon found myself embroiled in the constantly changing world that is Soul Core Online.
