"Good! I'll see what can I do..." Graven said.
"Will I go to see them? To convince them to stay with me here?" Laura asked.
"No. You will stay here, I'll be the one to bring them here through the teleportation process. I'm planning to bring your father here first so that you can talk about the new arrangement with him. If he agrees to your suggestion, then it will be easier to bring your sister and mother here as well," he said.
"Okay, I agree with all your plans. When can I see my father?" she asked excitedly.
"As soon as possible, tomorrow perhaps. We have to get them here before the vampire couple found them!" Graven replied.
Laura's eyes sparkled due to happiness. "Thank you, husband, for your concern about my family's safety! I appreciated it very much!"
"Don't mention it. I know that you won't be able to rest your mind in peace if you keep thinking about your family. So the best thing to do is bring them all here so that you can see them every day," he explained.
"Yeah... I don't want the time to come that the vampire couple will use and harm my family to get me. I can't bear it if something bad happens to my family," Laura said in a petrified voice.
Graven rubbed his wife's back to comfort her. "Shhh... don't worry much... you and your family will be fine here," he assured her.
"I can only rest my mind in peace if they're already here with me," she told him.
"I know, that is why tomorrow... I'll go there myself," he said.
"Really-? You will do it?"
"Yeah... I'll bring your father here!" he responded.
"Thank you so much!" Laura kissed her husband's cheek due to gladness.
Graven responded and planted a gentle kiss on her forehead.
Laura began yawning and covered her mouth with her hands. "I feel sleepy," she said.
"Alright, take a nap. I'll stay here by your side watching over you," he said lovingly.
"Okay," Laura murmured and closed her eyes to sleep.
A few minutes later.
Laura was already snoring softly in her husband's arms.
Graven smiled, looking at his wife's face fondly. He settled her into the bed comfortably.
He stood up and walked towards the window. He stared outside... wondering what is Terros current progress as of this moment?
He can't disturb the old man because what he's doing right now is a complicated process and he doesn't want to be the cause of the delay. He might as well joined his wife in slumber. He went back to bed and lie down, then closes his eyes to sleep.
Hours went by.
It was already 5:30 in the afternoon when Terros was done creating the invisible barrier around the manor and the entire property. It was the most comprehensive and massive protective barrier that he had made in his entire life so far and he was tired and exhausted beyond he can ever imagine.

He managed to reach the study room and quickly curled up on the couch for a much-needed rest, his eyes shut down instantly to recuperate and restore his depleted energy.
Half an hour passed by.
The couple has finally awakened in the master's bedroom.
Graven looked at the window, darkness was enveloping the surrounding.
Nighttime is coming.
He left the bed and switch on the light. He looked at his wife. "I'll go outside to find Grandpa," he said.
"Okay," Laura replied.
Graven exited the master's bedroom and went to find the old man around the house.
He searched everywhere and found Terros inside the study room, he's curled up on the couch, sleeping soundly.
He was about to wake up the old man but decided against it at the last minute because Terros looks tired. He left the study room and went to back his wife in the master's bedroom. He found her still lying on the bed.
"Where is Grandpa?" she asked.
"I found him curdled up on the couch sleeping soundly," he answered.
"He must be really tired after creating the invisible barrier," she commented.
Graven nods his head. "Yeah, it's not easy making a formidable formation such as the one he envisioned in his mind for this place. It's complex, massive, and powerful. It's also mentally and physically draining for such an old man to do such a thing," he explained.
"Poor Grandpa!" Laura murmured. She rose to her feet. "I'll go to the kitchen to see how's the cook's progress when it comes to the food preparation," she said.
Graven stood up. "Okay, I'll also go back to the study room to check on Grandpa."
The couple exited the bedroom going to different places.
Graven entered the study room and saw Terros still sleeping soundly on the couch. He went to his desk and sit down. He looked at the window as darkness completely occupies the space outside.
He glanced at the wall clock, it's already 6:00 in the evening.
He was thinking of her suggestion to his wife earlier.
When he suggested to Laura that her parents need to be with her, he knew that she is the only one who can protect her family. As long she is with them, the people who are after her will hesitate to hurt her family.
A half-hour later.
Graven rose to his feet, since the old man has not awakened yet, he and Laura will eat dinner first.
He exited the study room, went downstairs, and proceeds to the dining room. He found Laura and the cook arranging the dishes on the table.
The cook left the dining room.
Laura looked at her husband. "Grandpa is not awake yet?" she asked.
"Yeah, he's still sleeping. I didn't disturb him so that he can rest as long as he wants," Graven replied. "Let's just eat dinner first..." he said.

"Okay, I'm hungry already," Laura agreed.
The couple settled on the chairs, sitting beside each other, and start eating their meals.
Half an hour later, the couple finished eating. They left the dining room and went upstairs. Laura proceeds to the master's bedroom to use the bathroom while Graven went to the study room to check on the old man.
When he entered the room, Terros has finally awakened and already sitting on the couch, smiling at him.
"Grandpa! You're awake! Did you finish creating the invisible shield?" Graven smiled.
"Yeah. It's evening already. I have fallen asleep for several hours due to tiredness," Terros said.
"I'm sorry about that," he apologized. "I think you must be starving already. Let's go to the dining room so that you can have your dinner," Graven said.
"Ok, I'm starving indeed!" Terros admitted.
The two men left the study room and went downstairs.
They entered the dining room.
Terros salivated while eyeing the mouth-watering dishes on the table.
"Old man, eat as many as you can and take your time. We especially prepare these dishes for you to replenish your strength and energy," Graven said.
"Thank you, son!" Terros said and lowered himself on the chair. He picked up the spoon and fork and began putting dishes on his plate, a few minutes later he was already munching on his food.
"Eat plenty, old man. I'll go upstairs to use the bathroom, I'll be back later," Graven said.
Terros nods his head and continues eating the delectable dishes that were prepared especially for him.
Graven exited the dining room and went upstairs to the master's bedroom.
Laura looked at her husband. "Is Grandpa awake now?"
"Yeah, he is currently eating in the dining room," Graven answered and planted a kiss on her forehead. "I'll use the toilet," he said and entered the bathroom.
A few minutes later, he exited the bathroom and joined his wife on the bed.
"Would Grandpa sleep here for tonight? I'll have the servant prepared the guest room," Laura offered.
"I'll ask him later," he said.
Graven stayed with his wife inside the bedroom.
Fifteen minutes later.
He stood up. "I'll go back downstairs to ask Grandpa if he wants to sleep here for the night," he said and left the room.
When Graven entered the dining room, Terros was already done eating his meals. He smiled brightly at him and sat beside the old man.
"Oh boy, my stomach is full! I think I can't walk anymore," Terros joked. "Thanks for the delicious dinner, son!" he gushes.
"I'm glad you enjoyed the dishes, old man!" Graven said. "Um... I have something important to tell you..." he added.
"What is it? Bring it on!" Terros said while sipping the refreshing glass of fruit juice.
"Laura was worried about her family, she feared that the vampire couple will come after her parents and harm them, so I suggested to her that her family should live with her so that they can be together and her family will be safe from the one who is pursuing her. Can the invisible shield accommodate three more people?" Graven asked.
"Sure! No problem! Just bring them all here and let me know when so that I can prepare for it," Terros replied.
"I'll plan to bring them here tomorrow," Graven replied.
"Okay, in that case, I'll just come back here tomorrow to complete the formation," Terros said.
"Are you not going to sleep here tonight? We have plenty of room for you to sleep," Graven offered.
"Nah, perhaps some other time. I need to go home to water my plants and feed my hens," Terros replied. "By the way, does this manor has a basement?" he asked.
"Yeah..." Graven answered.
"Instruct the servants to clean it, and after cleaning, stock some foods and drinking water in the basement... just in case something comes up," Terros said.
"Okay. Thanks, old man for everything!" Graven said gratefully.
"Don't mention it!" Terros said and rose to his feet. "I'm done eating. I'll teleport back to my place now," he said.
Graven nods his head. "Okay, see you tomorrow!" he said.
"Tell your wife I'm coming back tomorrow," Terros said.
"I will," Graven replied.
A few seconds later, Terros vanished from the dining room.
Graven left the dining room and went back upstairs to join his wife in the bedroom.
Meanwhile...
A thousand miles away.
At the vampire couple's residence.
Sylvia was talking to the leader of the vampire assassin that she assigned to find Laura and her parents.
"Do you have good news to report to me?" she asked.
"Yes, Madam! We finally located the whereabouts of Laura's family. But she's not living among them!" the leader reported.
Sylvia's eyes widened. "Where are they now?"
"Laura's family is still in Hallowpass, hiding in their farm located a few miles from the town. My men are surrounding that place as of this moment," the leader replied. "Do you want us to bring Laura's family here?"

A New Leaf
When people mention fantasy games and RPGs, they usually think of goblins, elves, orcs, dwarves and magic (apart from the percentage that gets an image of an anti-tank weapon in their mind, I will respectfully put those individuals aside for now). But what if you get neither of those (not even the weapon, I know, sad)? And what if you end up playing as something that doesn't look like an animal at all? And what if the said game you were playing weren't actually a game, but real life changed by irresponsible, beyond-mortal beings? Follow the (mis)adventures of "player" 13241, a.k.a. Treant, as he experiences what it's like to be a walking magical fruit maker (among other things). When the world goes to hell and back, plants are the ones that remain, right?
