The Vampire's Love: You Are My Destiny Chapter 201

Luke has just come back from his trip.
He stayed in his room for a few minutes, changing his clothes, and then went to Laura's room.
Laura was lying on the bed when she saw the door opened, she knows right away that Luke had finally returned from his trip.
He entered the room and looked at her. "How are you?" he asked. He went to her side and planted a kiss on her head.
"I'm fine..." she answered.
"And the baby?"
"The baby is fine inside my tummy," she replied.
"Good!"
"How's your trip?" she inquired.
"I oversee the harvest of my three-hectare cacao plantation," he responded. "Do you need anything?" he asked.
"Um... can I go to the town to buy baby's clothes with Adela?" she asked permission.
"No. You can't go with Adela, but I'm willing to accompany you to the town if you wish," he said.
"Okay, I'm fine with that. When are we going to go to town?" she asked.
"Tomorrow, if you want," he said.
"Ok. How about tomorrow afternoon, is it okay with you?" she asked.
"No problem. Tomorrow afternoon, after lunch," Luke said. "Let's go downstairs in the dining room, I brought some desserts and fruits for you," he said.
"Ok." Laura left the bed.
They exited the room and went downstairs to the dining room.
Unknown to Luke, Graven was hovering outside Laura's window in his invisible form and heard everything including the trip to town tomorrow afternoon to buy the baby's clothes.
If that is the case then he will just return here tomorrow.
For now, he will continue finding Rebecca in other towns and places.
He left his brother's property in the blink of an eye.

The following day.
After lunch, Laura was getting ready for the trip.
She knows that Graven is out there somewhere, watching from afar. She hoped that her husband heard the conversation she had with Luke yesterday.
She went to the window and looked outside, no sign of her husband.
She released a deep sigh.
The success of her plan entirely depends on her husband's quick actions.
A few minutes later.
Luke entered the room. "Are you ready to go?" he asked.
"Yes, let's go!" she said.
They exited the room and went downstairs.
They boarded the carriage that was waiting in front of the house.
Above the roof of the house, Graven was watching the carriage moving out of Luke's property.
His wife plans to disappear while she was buying the baby's clothes under Luke's watchful gaze, this way if she vanished, Luke can not blame the servants. It's her way of making sure that her disappearance cannot be attributed to the servants' carelessness in watching over her.

He needs perfect timing to make it work.
The moment his brother left Laura alone even for a few minutes, he can snatch her away easily.
Graven hovered twenty meters above the moving carriage.
A few hours later, the carriage finally arrived at the main business area of Arrawallee Town.
The driver stopped in the designated parking area for the carriages.
Luke and Laura exited the carriage and walked towards the stores lining up in the busy streets.
Graven hovered in the air in his invisible form and scanned the store.
A few minutes later.
Laura and Luke exited the store, carrying some bags in their hands.
They entered another clothing store.
Graven lowered himself on the ground and stood outside, looking at the store trying to spot the couple inside.
This is not good, Luke has no plans to leave Laura's side.
How long their shopping spree would last?
One hour later.
Luke and Laura went inside a bakery store that was serving bread and pastries.
Graven went inside the store ad lowered himself on the vacant table away from the couple.
Laura and Luke were eating pastries and drinking refreshing drinks.
A half-hour later.
"I'm going to use the toilet, I need to pee," Laura said.
"Okay, I'll go with you," Luke replied and grabbed their bags containing their purchases.
Laura sighed and asked the waitress where is the toilet.
"Just enter that door over there at the end of the hallway, lady," the waitress said.
Laura and Luke walked towards the toilet.
There are two doors, one for women and one for men.
"'I'll go inside now," Laura said and entered the toilet for women.
"Okay," Luke said and entered the toilet for the men.
Five minutes later.
Luke exited the toilet and waited outside the women's toilet.
Three minutes passed.
Six minutes passed.
Ten minutes passed.
Still no signs of Laura getting out of the women's toilet.
Where is she?
Luke's brows knitted together. What is taking her so long inside?
This is not good!
Luke knocked on the door. "Laura... Laura... come out now!" he ordered.
A minute later.
The door opened. A woman exited the toilet.
"Madam, is there another woman inside the toilet? I've been waiting for my wife to come out, she has not exited yet," Luke asked.
The woman shook her head. "I'm the only one using the toilet, Sir. Maybe your wife went back to your table," she said.
"Okay, thank you," Luke said. He immediately went back to their table but Laura was not there. He scanned the whole bakery, she's nowhere to be found.
Where is she!?
Did she escape?

Where she has gone to?
It doesn't matter, he can always smell her scent as long she's still in the area hiding somewhere.
Luke exited the bakery, went to the carriage and deposited the bags there, and told the driver to stay in the area and wait for him. "Laura is missing. Scanned the surrounding area, maybe you will see her nearby," he told the driver.
"Do you want me to help you find her, my lord?" the driver asked.
"No need. I can find her myself. Just in case I can't return after 5:30, go back to the mansion," he gave his instruction.
"Copy, my lord!" the driver replied.
Luke left the area, he found a secluded place and transformed into his invisible self.
He hovered in the air and scanned the surrounding area looking for any sign of Laura.
Negative!
He floated in the air looking for Laura all over the Arrawallee Town.
He can't detect Laura's scent anywhere, which only means one thing. She was abducted or forcibly taken away! And right now, maybe she's no longer in this town!
By whom?
Oh no! C-could it be that his twin brother finally located Laura?
But that's impossible!
The concealing method he used to conceal Laura's scent is very strong... unless... his brother found a way to bypass it!
That's more like it!
With a pregnant woman like Laura, she won't be able to disappear without a trace in just a blink of an eye.
He breathed deeply!
He will continue scanning the neighboring areas looking for Laura's scent, maybe he could find her nearby, if not then he will go to his brother and confront him. If he was the one who abducted his wife then he will surely find Laura beside him, unless he hides her in a new place.
But even if he did, he can always follow him everywhere and eventually find Laura and take her back!
Feeling agitated, he continue floating in the air to find his lady love.
Meanwhile...
Across a thousand miles.
Graven brought Laura into the new property he just bought one month ago.
It was situated in the town of Moraderry Town. It's a one-hectare property in the countryside surrounded by towering trees and mountains in the distance.
Inside the property is a manor that housed six servants. The manor has a servant's quarter on the first floor.
There are five rooms and a study room on the second floor.
Graven gave his wife a tour around the house. He gathered the six servants in the living room.
"Guys, this is your Lady Laura, my beloved wife. From now on you will serve her and follow all her commands," he told them.
"Welcome to the manor, Lady Laura!" the servants said in chorus.
"Thank you, everyone! Nice meeting you all!" Laura smiled at them.
After meeting the servants, the couple went back to the master's bedroom on the second floor.
"Do you like this room, wife?" he asked.
Laura scanned the entire room. It's bigger than the room she had in Luke's mansion. It has a king-size bed. A big closet, a nice dresser table, and a clean bathroom. There is a small table and two chairs in the corner. "I love it! As long we're together, the place doesn't matter much to me," she said, her eyes sparkled with happiness.
"I'm glad you like it. But if you are not satisfied. You can check the other rooms. You can have any room you want," Graven told her.
"Nah, I'm satisfied with this room, it's comfortable and spacious. It's good enough for me," she replied.
"Alright, you can check the closet. I brought all your things here and have the servant put them in the right places," he said.
Laura opened the closet door and saw her clothes and stuff inside. She smiled brightly and went to her husband's side. "Thank you, husband!" she said and hugged him lovingly.
"Don't mention it. It's my pleasure serving you and making you happy. Do you need anything else for this room?" he asked.
"There's nothing that I can think of as of this moment. It's already perfect!" she gushes.
"I'm glad you like the room. Tomorrow morning, I will take you on tour around the property," Graven said.
"Okay, I'm excited already!" she replied.
"Do you want Neeza to be your companion? Just say yes..." he offered.
Laura was silent for a moment. "No need. Neeza loves the Bay Meadow and she is the caretaker there, let her be. I'll just choose one of the servants here to be my companion," she responded.
"Okay, you're the boss!" Graven said.
The couple went to bed and cuddled.
Three hours later, the surrounding around the house was getting darker.
It's finally nighttime.
One hour later.
The servant knocked on the door and informed the couple that dinner is ready in the dining hall.
Laura and Graven left the bed and exited the room, heading downstairs to eat supper together.
That night, the couple sleep peacefully and soundly in the bed.
While Luke was going crazy finding Laura everywhere.

A Goblin's Blade (dropped)
He looked down the path, which was littered with many things. Things he found in abundance were such of violence, desire and gore while things he found in scarcity were such of love, friendship and glory. At the start of the path was a naive, green goblin while at the end of it... Well at the end of it stood him: the godslayer, the monster from the forest, the walking death... He had many names but none so that perfectly captured his image as well as the Mad King. Authors note: Edit: Trying to release a chapter per day, around 2-2.5k words each. An evolution story about a goblin. This is under lit-rpg but I'm focusing more on the plot/characters instead of the usual features of such stories such as the blue tables that take ages to make or the stat screens. In essence it's closer to high fantasy than lit-rpg. Much appreciated if you read the Prologue to see whether you like it or not. Cover image is "Evolution" taken from art done by WhoAmI01

BODY&SHADOW
AN ILLUSTRATED NOVEL • UPDATES TUESDAY AND FRIDAY In a time before living memory, the King Dragon of the Void watched the world and realized there was a crack. He realized that humanity was destroying the rock upon which they lived; they leaked life’s code into the churning chaos. At first the change was imperceptible: nanites overtook microorganisms, bacteria, viruses, amoebas. Insects became increasingly inorganic; birds and lizards followed soon after. Even humans were infected by their own advances, cell by cell, till there was not a person left on earth who wasn’t at least part synthetic, the product of a prior generation’s carelessness. The world’s population was ravaged by mechanical viruses with no vaccines; they were mercilessly overtaken by bacteria that knew no death. Soon, most of the planet was empty and only a handful remained who remembered the hedonist realm they came from; only a few were left who remembered what the world looked like when their buildings touched the sky. The King Dragon of the Void watched the rock turn. He watched humans cower as the Old World fell down around them; watched their great monuments crumble into dusty ruins; watched their codes become precious, ancient gem memories forged under the crushing pressure of so many fallen stones. The world has spun many times around the sun since chaos swallowed man whole. It is a simpler time than the one that died out, but the people now are not immune to the folly of the people before. There is old code everywhere: in the water, in the air, in the trees. The heart of man has been replaced by power cores, many of which are hard-coded with preternatural abilities—when they die, an esoteric mountain sect collects their cores and stores them in their hollow mountain home to preserve the sanctity and dignity of human death. They’ve learned to harness artifacts of the old world, gemstones full of codes their nanite infused bodies can parse as spells imbuing their users with great power; they inlay them into their bodies, into their skins, connected to their cores by copper conduit and gold tracers; they dress themselves in tattoos to advertise their prowess; they battle for relics in arenas, fight for them in the open world wherever they are found. The King Dragon of the Void watches the rock turn and wonders: when will this hunger finally make the rock stop spinning? WELCOME TO FANXING CITY … Twenty-five years ago, Fanxing City and the surrounding lands were commanded by the mad King Zao Beiguan. For many years, the King hoarded wealth, artifacts, food; he demanded tribute from a people already taxed to the edges of their existence and expected they be happy with their circumstances. Noncompliance was often punished harshly, bodies displayed proudly on Fanxing’s streets as a warning, from the city gates to the Zao palace’s golden doors. The youths of several prominent clans came together to overthrow the tyrant and made names for themselves as legendary heroes across the land: Tian, Ren, Feng, Gui, Ma, and Zhenxi. Even wanderers from the Luanshi sect descended from Yunji mountain to aid the rebellion. When the dust settled after three years, Tian Yunyong ascended the throne of Fanxing and swore to honour his slain father’s memory, and has maintained Fanxing’s peace with generosity and mercy where fear and cruelty once reigned.
