"Anything else you want to ask me?" Rebecca inquired, ready to leave the room.
Fresh tears glistened in Laura's eyes. "Where is Luke? Can you please tell me where to find him? I want to see him! Please bring me to him!" she begged.
A frown appeared on Rebecca's forehead. "Why? Why do you want to see Graven's twin brother?" she asked in confusion. "I can't understand your sudden fascination towards Graven's twin brother," she said in bewilderment.
Laura sighed. She doesn't know if it's safe to tell Rebecca about her short relationship with Luke. Although she easily told Graven about her relationship with Luke because she thought Graven was Luke.
But telling another being about Luke and her is hard for her. Can she trust Rebecca?
"I'm not going to answer your question unless you will tell me first the reason why you are interested in seeing Luke?" Rebecca said.
Laura looked at the other woman with pleading eyes. "Rebecca, please stop asking me questions...just please... answer my questions. It's important for me!" she begged.
Rebecca pouted. "Sorry, I'm not gonna tell you more about Luke if you won't tell me first why are you so persistent in asking a lot of things about him?" she said adamantly.
Laura took a deep breath. It seemed she has no other choice but to tell her about the truth. "C-can you keep a secret between us, Rebecca?" she asked first, wanting to make sure that she can trust her and her secret is safe with her.
Rebecca looked at her and nodded her head. "Sure, you can trust me. I can keep your secret safe with me, considering that we both go through near-death experiences inside the cave. Just tell me...so that I can understand you better," she said, trying to make her at ease while poking at her hidden secret.

Laura released a deep sigh. "Previously... before I came here in South Pond Town, I happened to meet a guy who looks exactly like Graven. He introduces himself to me as Luke. He's so romantic and sweet. He showered me with his lavish attention and affection. I fall for his charm in just a short period. We become intimate for a few days...then we got separated...and I have no idea where he is now...until I saw Graven. I thought he and Luke are of the same person..." she elaborated further.
Rebecca was listening to Laura's narration attentively. "I see... so that is the reason why you want to see Luke. But what I'm going to tell you next will surprise you..." she paused for a moment. "Hmm, wait for a second...can you tell me, when did you meet Luke?" she asked all of a sudden.
"We meet last month," Laura explained.
Rebecca's eyes widened. "Huh? You and Luke meet each other just last month?" she asked in surprise, her eyes widened in disbelief.
Laura doesn't like the surprised expression on the woman's face. "Why? What's wrong? Did I said something wrong?" she asked, alarmed.
Rebecca was shaking her head. "B-because...Luke died a long time ago!" she explained.
Rebecca's revelation was like a bomb that exploded in Laura's ears. "Whaaaaat-!?" she asked, stunned.
"Exactly five years ago!" Rebecca added.
"F-five years ago! Are you sure?" Laura asked in disbelief. Her body went cold due to shock. A myriad of emotions flashed in her face. She was thoroughly shocked by Rebecca's revelation, she's not expecting the truth to be like this. She was expecting Luke to be alive and well, living somewhere, not dead!
"I was there when Luke died, I saw him inside his coffin!" Rebecca said.

Fresh tears erupted from Laura's eyes rolling down her face. If Luke is already dead? Then who is the one she had sex with last month? C-could it be that she was making love to a ghost? That's the only logical explanation that she can find. "B-but he can't be dead! We make love several times in just a few days!" she insisted.
A frown appeared on Rebecca's forehead. "Are you sure? Maybe you're just hallucinating or dreaming?" she suggested.
Laura shook her head adamantly. "No! I'm not hallucinating! I know that what happened between Luke and me when we're together was real!" she insisted.
Rebecca stared at Laura's face for a few minutes. "Wow! This is interesting! My mind was blown away," she finally said.
"W-what is interesting?" Laura asked.
"Your claim that you make love with Luke just last month is interesting to hear because he's already dead all these years," replied Rebecca. "You mean- you make love to a ghost?"
"No! I make love to a real person! Not a ghost!" Laura insisted.
Rebecca sighed. The woman won't believe that her previous lover is already dead. no matter how he will insist to her that Luke is already dead, she won't believe her.
"C-can you bring me to Luke's grave? Please?" Laura said. "I will only believe your claim that he's already dead if you can bring me to the place where he was buried," she said in a determined voice. She was looking at Graven's fiancee, doubting her claim that Luke is already dead. She has a gut feeling that she's hiding something from her, that she knows a lot of things about the twin brother.
"I'm so sorry, Laura. I can't bring you to Luke's grave. His grave is off-limits to outsiders. No one can go there, only his twin brother Graven can visit that place," Rebecca responded thoughtfully.
Laura rubbed her eyes and sighed deeply.
Rebecca also yawned and glanced at the wall clock, it's already midnight. She rose to her feet. "I'm feeling sleepy, I want t go back to my room. Rest well, Laura. Good night," she said. "See you tomorrow," she added.
"C-can we continue our conversation tomorrow?" Laura asked. Even if she still wanted to talk to her, she has no right to detain Rebecca in her room for a longer time especially that it's already midnight, time to sleep.
Rebecca smiled. "Yeah, sure!" she said cheerfully and exited the door.
Laura locked the door and went to bed to rest for the night.

In the hallway.
Graven waited for Rebecca to leave Laura's room. "What took you so long inside Laura's room?"
"Your sister-in-law asked too many questions about Luke," Rebecca replied.
"So...do you think she believes everything you told her?" asked Graven.
Rebecca shook her head. "I dunno..."
The couple went inside their respective room to retire for the night.
While Laura was twisting in her bed, unable to sleep after hearing all the shocking revelations about Luke this evening.

Gobbo
Its not easy being green. Or any other color. Life's just kinda shit in general. At least it is for a goblin trying to survive on their own. Dominion Expansion (a 4X LitRPG)
Clay is one of the world's top players of 4X games, a genre where the goal is to eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, and eXterminate. He's also one of the only players in the world to so stubbornly stick to the one city strategy, a favorite tactic of his that involves only ever using a single city or planet depending on the game's setting. All that matters to him is winning with his favorite strategy, but earning the respect of his fellow players for taking a sub-optimal strategy to its highest level has always been a nice bonus. And now it is because of his skill and entertaining determination that he has been chosen to represent a higher realm in a strategy game where the fate of Earth and dozens of other worlds are at stake. To the victor goes the spoils, and the spoils include entire worlds and billions of lives. That's how he ends up representing the ascended realm of Hell in a grand "game" between an entire pantheon of godly beings and other higher powers. But while it may just be a game to those overseeing it, it is a genuine war for survival to those participating in it where billions of real lives will go to the victor of whoever wins, and many will die before the game is over. Quick Author's Notes: System inspired by Civilization, Endless Legend, Stellaris, and Crusader Kings 2. Combat mechanics inspired by the Total War series. Slow-paced with many long-term plans. Protagonist has a personality heavily inspired by Ron Swanson. Know who that is and love him? You should like Clay. Know who Ron Swanson is and hate him? You'll probably hate Clay. Planning on writing every single day (turn). Days with important things happening will have the system/game mechanics be the priority of the chapter. Days where there isn't really anything important happening will be more slice-of-life and focused on character interactions. Designed a dice-based randomized map generator to create the world as the story goes on, so I don't even know myself exactly what's going to happen as a lot is dependent on world generation. Tech tree with hundreds of technologies already designed. There is a "harem," but it's not the main focus, the girls won't be cardboard cutouts, and I'm not going to completely forget about any previous women in the relationship whenever a new one comes along. One last thing. The "game" starts off with primitive technology level. The current plan is for the "endgame" tech level to be equivilent to WW2-era technology. After that and war just gets boring until you end up in space. Cover is temporary and made from royalty-free stock images while waiting for the real cover's commission to finish.
