The Vampire's Love: You Are My Destiny Chapter 48

Before Graven arrived in the mansion, she was trying to warm up to Cooper. But after seeing Graven which reminds her so much of Luke, she was no longer looking forward to marrying Cooper.
How can she marry the guy who is Luke's brother?
And what is the mystery between Luke and Graven? How can two people with similar looks have different voices? That glaring fact kept repeating in her mind and she's getting tired of it! She wanted to know the truth!
It's not making sense at all.
It's not right for Cooper as well. Even though she has no affection for Cooper, she can't fool him. She's been dying to tell him the truth about Graven but she's not sure yet if Graven and Luke are the same person? What if she's wrong?
God, she was having a massive headache right now.
She stopped pacing back and forth on the floor and sat on the bed, She lies down and shut off her eyes trying to calm herself. If only Graven didn't leave too soon, her dilemma would have been solved by now.
But what if Graven will deny that he and Luke are not of the same person?
What she's going to do?
But her heart can't lie!
Her body reacted right away after seeing Graven!
Dammit, this is crazy!
The whole situation is freaking crazy!
Fifteen minutes later.
There was a knock on the door.
"Miss Laura, do you need some tea?" Neeza's voice rang in the air.
Laura is not in the mood for some tea. All she needs right now is to take her afternoon nap to relax her troubled mind or else she will go crazy. "Later, Neeza. I just want to sleep for a while," she responded.
"Okay, I'll come back later after you wake up," Neeza said and left the door.
Laura closed her eyes, waiting for sleep to take over her body. The whirlwind of emotion she felt after seeing Luke again made her nerves jittery.
All she needs right now - a few hours of total peace. Because right now, she thinks her mind will explode due to confusion and shock.

Oh, God, she needs an answer soon! Or else she will go mental!
She rose from the bed, damn! She can't force herself to sleep. Her mind was hyperactive, it refused to shut down! She needs to find Neeza and ask her if she knows where Graven works or where he usually frequents outside.
She slid her feet into the slippers, walking towards the door, and exited.
She strolled in the hallway and found Neeza. The maid was facing the center table which was located near the top of the stairs, she was arranging the carnation flowers in the porcelain vase.
"Neeza..." she called the servant's name.
The maid looked at her.
"Miss, you're finally awake? It seemed you haven't sleep at all," commented Neeza.
"Yeah, you are right, I can't sleep," she lowered herself on the couch beside her.
Neeza stopped what she's doing and looked at Laura. "Do you need anything, Miss? I can get it for you, how about chamomile tea or some biscuits?" she offered.
"Later...just finished with your flower arrangement and then we'll talk. I have something to ask you..." she said.
"Okay, I'll finish this in a few minutes," Neeza said and proceed with her task.
Five minutes later.
Neeza was done with the flower arrangement and gave her whole attention to Laura. "I'm ready, Miss," she said.
Laura looked around her, the place is not ideal for holding a discreet conversation with the maid. "Let's talk on the balcony, it's much nicer there," she said and rose to her feet going to the balcony.
Neeza followed Laura from behind.
The women settled on the couch, sitting beside each other.
Laura cleared her throat. "I want to ask you about Graven..."
Neeza smiled brightly. "Sure...I'll tell you anything I know about him..." she said excitedly. Then she looked at Laura with narrowed eyes. "OMG! Miss, why you suddenly become interested in Sir Graven? Don't tell me you are having a crush on him-?" she asked conspiratorially.

Laura sighed. "I shared a kiss with him a long time ago..." she joked.
Neeza blanched in shock. "OMG! My heart!"
Laura erupted into laughter after seeing the maid's white face, she continued laughing and oh boy! It's a welcome relief for her tortured mind right now.
"Is it true, Miss? You and Sir Graven shared a kiss? When did it happen? Did you meet him before you came here?" Neeza bombarded Laura with questions.
Laura smiled. "Silly girl, I'm just joking!" she said.
Neeza giggled. "I thought you're telling the truth. It seemed you have a crush on him!" she said, teasing her. "So...what is it that you wanted to ask me about Sir Graven?"
Laura's face turned serious. "I want to ask you - where to find Graven? I want to ask him something important. Does he have an office where he reports every day? Or can you remember any place where he usually goes to?" she asked.
Neeza scrunched up her nose. She tilted her head and looked heavenward in the process of scanning her brain for anything that she can remember in the past. "Ah...there is this one place two years ago...but it's out of town. Sir Nicholas bought a property, a twenty-hectare land. Servants girls were sent there including me to set up the bare house and make it livable because Sir Graven and his men were going to work on that land..."
"What and where is that?" she asked eagerly.
"Hmm, I didn't hear much about what's going on there because our job is to make the house livable, but according to some of the workers there... they're going to mine coal and gold? Something like that... I think Sir Graven stays in that place most of the time but I'm not sure nowadays... " Neeza said.
"How many hours to reach there?" asked Laura.
"The journey would take more than 24 hours, it's far from here. You need a carriage to go there and there is no guarantee that Sir Graven was staying there on daily basis," said Neeza.
Laura sighed. "Hmm... why it's too far?" she mumbled to herself.
"Why don't you just wait for his return? Before you came here, he regularly visits here once per week. There is a big chance he will come back again next week, then you can finally ask him your question," Neeza suggested.
Laura sighed, a forlorn expression marred her pretty face. If she will believe Cooper's words, the only time to talk to Graven is on the day of her wedding.
No! She can't wait that long!
She needs to find Graven before the three months are over, ASAP!
"Neeza, do you still remember the name of the coal mining site?" she asked.
Neeza shook her head. "I'm sorry, Miss. I can no longer remember where it was and what is the name of the town. It's far from the main town. There are not many houses there, only mountains, trees, and rivers. Hmm, I will ask the other servant girl if they can remember the mining site name or the town," she suggested.
"Okay, do that please," Laura said.
"Alright, I'll go downstairs now to bring you chamomile tea," Neeza offered and stood up.
Laura nodded her head. "Okay..."
Neeza left the balcony.
Laura rose to her feet and walk towards the balustrade of the balcony and looked down, she can see the beautiful fountain and the flowering plants below. She smiled a bit loving the colorful view. She looked at the trees surrounding the mansion. They produce a refreshing and relaxing atmosphere on the balcony.
Her mind went back to her problem.
There's got to be some other way to reach Graven!
Hmm... how about she will talk to her father?

The Court of Souls?
What do we talk about tonight?~“How about a story?”~Fine by me. Which story? Hopefully a good one.~“There was once a lonely child in a world filled with myths, gods and demons. Only power counted there and the weak were worse than cattle. A world where survival of the fittest ruled.”~Was it strong then?~“No, but the child had a power. One that made him stand between light and darkness. Nothing could escape him, so he was shunned by his people.”~ What did he do? Did he fight his fate? Did he hide his power? What was it?~“Oh, he fought. He fought a lot. And no thing could escape his power. It was something that everyone had to live with.”~So he became a hero and changed the world?~»…”~Tell me.~“Nooo, that’s not how the story goes. This isn’t a story of a noble man, doing good amidst a sea of monsters. This is a story of a demon who was… kinder than the rest.”~A kind demon? How boring.~“I think it would be better if I tell the story, so you can judge for yourself.”~So tell the story!
