The Vampire's Love: You Are My Destiny Chapter 25

Laura exited her room to get the broom and dustpan to clean the mess in her room. She descended on the staircase and went to the kitchen. She found the broom, dustpan, and garbage bag in the corner, she picked them up and went back upstairs.
She entered her bedroom.
Her eyes widened upon seeing that the mirror was intact, wtf! with no signs of breaking and cracks and the floor was already clean, no shattered fragments can be found everywhere.
What kind of bizarre phenomenon is this!?
She dropped the broom, dustpan, and garbage bag in the corner and stared at the mirror.
"Looking for me, Laura? Did you miss your lover, Luke?" the male voice spoke again.
Laura almost jumps to her feet due to being startled.
"Miss me?" the voice said.
It was Luke's voice and image she saw in the mirror. She stared at Luke's face with intense longing flashing in her eyes. But she can't be fooled...what she saw now... is Luke's doppelganger!
"I'm sorry about the mirror, I hope you won't get mad because I already fixed it. I'm not supposed to be back again but I just can't help myself. I need to see you!" Luke said.
Tears emerged in Laura's eyes. "Please, stop harassing me! Stop playing with my emotion!" she pleaded.
A frown appeared on Luke's forehead. "But why? I thought you want to see me?" he said softly.
"You are not the real Luke! You are just copying his image!" she shouted in annoyance.
Luke sighed. "Yeah, you are right. I could never be Luke! But he is the one inside your heart. How can I enter your heart - if you keep thinking of him?" he said.
Laura disregards his emotional confession. "Who are you? Are you a ghost?" she inquired.
"I'm not a ghost. But one thing I can assure you...I'm handsome. Just ...that... I can't show real myself to you right now because I'm not yet completed. I'm afraid that...you...you...will get scared of me ...wait until I will be completed. I would gladly show myself to you," Luke said.

"And who are you exactly!? Why do you hide behind a mystery? You are messing up with my head!" Laura yelled.
Luke sighed. "I'm sorry I'm making things more complicated for you. I came to your life when you are at the most confused. But rest assured I only want what's best for you. Regarding your question on who am I? I am your soulmate, always be your soulmate for eternity," he said softly.
Laura finds his claim ridiculous. "You shut up! I'm tired of your games! Please...whoever you are...just go away and never return!" she yelled at him. "You are making my life so damn complicated!" she bit her lip in anger.
"Oh, my poor heart!" he said clutching his chest as if experiencing great pain. "Laura...please don't say that...you are breaking my heart into tiny pieces with your cold words. I can't bear it if you are treating me like this...you used to be so sweet to me before things turn out like this..." Luke halted his words, pain was leaping from his eyes.
Laura's eyes widened in confusion. "Whaaat-? Since when did we become close? I haven't seen your face, don't claim something so absurd! The only guy I'm close with is Luke and he is the only one I want to spend the rest of my life with, and you are copying his image!"
Luke sighed heavily. "There are many things you don't know yet. You know so little...things will eventually be revealed to you sooner or later. Don't worry...I'll try my best to...to make you see things the way they are..."
"Just go away, please!" she pleaded again. She's getting tired of him spouting nonsense
"Alright, I hear you. I'll go away...but don't expect that I will vanish from your life completely. I shall return," Luke said, he disappeared from the mirror in the blink of an eye.
Laura breathed in relief. She immediately left her room, went downstairs, and exited the house going to her mother's garden. She doesn't want to stay in her room anymore, with the frightening things happening in there...she found her bedroom...so creepy!

She arrived at the flower garden and sat on the wooden chair wearing a bewildered expression on her face.
Rosa was arranging flowers on the porcelain flower vase. She glanced at her daughter's face. "What is the problem, Laura?"
Laura sighed and shook her head. "Nothing... Hmm...where did you bought that dresser cabinet with mirror in my bedroom, Mother?" she asked. She knew that her mother brought it ten years ago. She wants to know...maybe the previous owner of the mirror died already and it's his ghost that was playing a trick on her.
Rosa's brows knitted together, trying to remember where did she purchase that dresser table with a mirror? That was a long time ago. Then she remembered that the old store was now gone, it was replaced with an inn. "Daughter, the old store was gone. It was replaced with a new structure. Why did you ask about it?"
"Mother, I don't like that dresser table! I want a new one! I will ask the servants to take that dresser away today!" she said.
"No problem, just tell the servants to get it out of your room. I will buy you a new one tomorrow... if you like," Rosa suggested even though she knows that her daughter will be gone tonight 'coz the vampires will come tonight and take her daughter away. Tears sprang in her eyes, so saddened just by thinking about it.
Laura looked at her mother's face and saw the sadness and tears embedded in her eyes. She knows why her mother's face become like this. "Mother, don't be sad. I will try to be submissive to my husband and become his loyal wife so that he will allow me to visit you here more often. We will still see each other again. Every time I visit here, we will have a picnic on the farm with father and Sofia," she said cheerfully, trying to project positive vibes in her voice to uplift her mother's spirit.
"What I'm going to do tonight, daughter?" Rosa asked helplessly.
"Mother, just do nothing. We will try to be obedient to the vampires so that they won't harm us. We will just follow all their orders and we will be alright," Laura said calmly while rubbing her mother's back to alleviate her fears.
A few minutes later.
Laura stood up. "Mother, I'm going to my room. I'll have the servants take that dresser table away," she said.
"Okay, bring this flower to your room," Rosa said and handed the vase to her daughter.
"Thank you, Mother," Laura accepted the flower vase and walked away from the flower garden going back to the house.
She went to the backyard and ordered two male servants to come to her bedroom to remove the table dresser from her room.
They climbs the stairs and went inside her bedroom.
Laura placed the flower vase on the bedside table and removed all her things from the dresser table and put them all in the bed, done with everything, she ordered the servants. "Guys, please take this dresser table away from my room and bring it to the storage room," she ordered.
"Yes, Miss!" the servants replied in unison.
Laura watched as the servants took the dresser table out of the room. She closed the door and went back to bed. She put all her things in the small bag and place it above her two luggage, ready for her departure tonight with the vampires.
She lies in bed to have a short nap, closing her eyes to sleep.

The Dog with a Chair
As of now, this story is dropped. It was an excellent learning experience, but the quality suffered too much from me trying new things for me to continue in good concience. Thanks to anyone that read it. I'm leaving this story up as a record of my first ever attempt at publishing something I've wrote. To any new writers out there, remember that even if the stuff you write is trash, you can still learn a lot from writing it. - November 17th 2020 Guy gets involved in advocacy for civil engineering projects, then gets pulled into an interdimensional war. Third person with a focus on one main character (Stanley) with the occasional point of view from another character important to story progression. Writing style tends to shift early on as I figure out how to write (this is my first book). Still learning, hoping to improve. Current style choice is to have a focus on character dialogue/actions with interspersed internal monologue in italics. No current end is set for the story, with the primary goal of this project being to learn to express myself in a written format. Storyline is kept as consistent as practical while covering things I find interesting. Governmental systems are mentioned, but not explained in extreme detail. Sci fi elements are used to reinforce and guide plot progression as I'm able. Personal goals belonging to each character are in the process of being developed, with the hope that they will support or oppose each other in interesting ways later on. Hope you enjoy :)
