Chapter 1416 - Return II
"Well, it looked like the ruin was dangerous than it was described in the records." The Teacher said as I finished telling nearly everything I had gone through in the Ruin.
It had taken more than one hour to explain everything in short, which is longer than I had expected.
I had hidden few things; those things are my core secrets, nobody knows about them, not even my parents.
"Teacher, do you know what that mysterious shield is?" I asked; I would not have told the Teacher about my injuries if not for me wanting to know about that mysterious shield that saved me from the attack of Green King.
Teacher looked at the Professor sitting beside me before turning her eyes toward me, "You should ask your mother about it," the Teacher said after a second of silence.
I couldn't help but get surprised hearing that; I really believed it is something the Teacher had left me as only, I never had throught it would be related to my mother.
Mother was never involved in my practice; from childhood, she had never taught me anything related to fighting. Even now, I sometimes have a hard time believing my mother used to be a Tyrant stage powerhouse, a very powerful one at that.

We were sitting in silence when the door of the Teacher's cabin flung open, and purple hair girl stormed inside. It was Elina, at first I did not even recognize her, she had changed.
Her raven hair turned have turned light purple, and she had grown slightly taller and leaner, releasing an aura that was far, far stronger than the last time I had seen her.
"Micheal, that god you survived, if something had happened to you, I would have never able to forgive myself," she said as she hugged, which caught me a little off guard; Elina rarely showed such intense emotions.

"Its not your fault; there are too many Ghouls who got attracted for you to do anything," I said in a softer voice.
I do not blame her for me being stranded in the Ruin even for a second; it was my choice to help her, and if I had been a little stronger, I would have been able to run away and leave the Ruin.
"Still, thank you, if not for you, I wouldn't be here right now," she said as she let go of the hug. To, that I just smiled.
"You seemed to have progressed a lot; there won't be many people who would be able to beat you in the coming championship," I said as I carefully looked at her aura.
She had reached the High Stage of King, and the faint aura I could sense from her is enough to tell me how powerful she had become; with her strength, it won't be a problem to get into the Top 10 of the championship.
"Haha!"
All three of them laughed out loud as I said that as if I had said a funny joke. Seeing that, I couldn't help but look at Elena questioningly.
Teacher had wanted me to practice Continental Championship, and for that, I had researched about it a little and researching participants before, and comparing their strength to the strength that I am sensing from Elina, she had a very good chance to get into Top 10.
But looking at the expressions three of them showing, I think I might be wrong.
"You would have been right in your guess if not for monsters appearing everywhere; I would be lucky if I am even able to get into Top 50," Elina said, a mirthless smile before she looked at my eyes directly.

"You, on the other hand, are a monster that had spent an entire cycle in 'I' Ruin; I am sure you will be able to challenge those monsters without any problem." She said.
"She is right, Micheal; the world had produced monsters like never before," Teacher said. She seemed tense when she said it, but when she looked at me, her eyes begin to shine as a smile appeared on her face.
"But with you, now we don't have to worry about getting into Top 10 or even higher," the Teacher said with her eyes shining like a star.
"I'll do my best, teacher," I said; I did not try to be too humble as I know I will have to participate, and I am even looking forward to, I want to see how I fare against the monsters that are Teacher is referring to.
"Micheal, you must have gotten some good things in the Ruin right, come take them out? We are going to need all help we need to make our Academy stronger; it would be great if all members of the Academy get a great rank collectively," Professor said as she looked at me with shining eyes.
THUD Thud thud!
Two huge chests appeared behind me; one is three meters long while the other is just a meter long; there is also the third chest, which is quite smaller, no bigger than my hand.
I could have given them the pouches, but I wanted to create a show and to see the expression of Teacher, Professor, and Eline; I have succeeded in getting the reaction I want from them.
Click!
"Gasp!"
Professor clicked opened the biggest chest, and a gasp came out of her mouth as she saw the sheer number of the necrotic Core that was present there; in the biggest case, there are more than ten thousand necrotic cores.
These cores are normal cores, collected by me and Ashlyn, mostly Ashlyn. Ashlyn had killed more than ten times a number of Ghouls than me. Though she ate quite many of them and shared some with Nero, there are still some she had given to me.
Click!
"My God, so many Silver Ghoul cores," Elina said as she opened the second case, there are little more than five thousand Silver Ghoul Cores, and like normal cores, most of these cores have also been collected by Ashlyn.

Blood of an Inhuman Hitman (Rewrite)
In need of a synopsis. Quick rundown, however, would be that this contains supernatural creatures, assassins and a boy who was turned into a vampire. P.s. I'm aware that this is full of cliches and that may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's definitely my kind. So, please, I'm really begging here, don't tell me that it's full of cliches, I A L R E A D Y know.
