Chapter 1302 - Worm Master
A Worm Master is torturing the humans, and he isn't holding back on their screams, instead of making them screams higher and higher while laughing madly.
The humans are in wretched conditions with all types of energy worms drilling through every part of their bodies; I couldn't help but shudder watching thousands of worms covering their body, inflicting them with torturous pain.
While I was watching, one of the humans who were attracted by the sound and moved closer.
She was very careful, but when she entered the five hundred meters of range of the Grimm Monster, energy work shot out of from the ground and pierced through the protection of her Armor.
She was a peak Prince powerhouse, but those Worms released by Initial Prince Powerhouse had immobilized her and brought her with the rest of the humans.
I watched for a few seconds before asked Ashlyn to circle the area around the Worm Master to see if there are any King Stage powerhouses nearby; if there is, then I will not rescue them no matter how much I want to.
Years spent in Grimm Battlefield had made me a rational person; I am no longer the emotional person I used to be.
If there are King Stage Grimm Monsters nearby, then rescuing them would be futile. I would die by its hands even if I have successfully rescued them.
'Chew Chew…'
Soon, I got a reply from Ashlyn, and it is good news; there is no King Stage Grimm Monster not watching, and it is not present in the immediate area too, so it would not be attracted by the sound.
With the conformation, I sped up toward the Worm Master, and soon I had reached a one-kilometer distance from the Worm Monster before landing and walking toward the Worm Master.

"Friend, Wait." A young man called as he appeared in front of me. He is a peak Prince powerhouse with impressive combat strength.
"Do You need something?" I said directly; there is no time to waste on talking; the more I waste time here, the more agony they will suffer and might even die if I did not get there quickly as possible.
"I just stopped to warn you, the Grimm Monster that is torturing the humans is a host of Apex Inheritance." "Going there will be throwing your life." He warned, clearly seeing my High Duke mediocre aura.
"I know but thank you for a warning," I said with a smile before shot out from my place toward the Worn Master.
Sup Sup Sup…
Soon, I reached five hundred meters of the Worm Master, and the screams have become extremely clear to my ears; at the same time, hundreds of worms came at me with the speed of the buttle.
These worms are the size of pinky fingers and are in vomit green color, making what I am going to do even more creepy.
Dhub Dhub Dhub…
I did not dodge the attack; I let worms crashed into my Armor. If it had been anyone else, these worms would have been piercing their Armor before drilling into their skin, but these worms crashed against my Armor; they automatically turned into energy before getting sucked apart by my Armor.
There are many things my Armor would have a problem sucking up, but Special Grimm Energy is not one of them, even if it is from a special profession Prince Stage Grimm Monsters.
Sup Sup Sup…
The Grimm Monster controlling them seemed to understand these worms were not doing anything to me and turned their numbers ten times, and now I am getting attacked by waves of worms as I walked toward the Grimm Monsters.

The waves of worms surrounded me, but whenever they crashed against my Armor, they would be directly sucked inside. Not a single Work was able to do anything against me, even the special ones that are hidden in these energy worms.
Even powerhouses would become defenseless against such waves of worms; these are very powerful. People like the one who had stopped me would be finished in just a hundred worms while thousands and thousands of them are not doing anything against me.
The Grimm Monsters seemed to release that as well, as it had stopped the attack after a couple of tries.
The silence descended; there was no sound, not of torturous screamings or monsters roaring; everything had turned utterly silent.
Step Step Step…
Step by step, I walked toward the Grimm Monster and crossed the thick trees before entering the clearing, where I saw seven-meter-long Scarlet Houndman looking at me with a small smile on its face.
The is big and has a bulky red body, in its hand what seemed like a huge metallic staff which had palm-size green gem attached to it.
Between us are humans lying on the ground with worms covering every part of their body. These energy worms are not only taking their energy but also eating their flesh; the scene is gruesome.
The worst thing is these people are alive and conscious, experiencing pain as worms eat their flesh and energy. The monster had even close their mouths with worms, so they could not scream.
Some of them seemed to have heard my steps and looked me with difficult; each of them only had one wish in their eyes, and that is to kill them; they do not have hopes to be saved; they want to die in a piece in the hands of their people.
Ahhh…
I couldn't help but sigh, looking at them before turning into Scarlet Houndamns, whose faces smile have grown even bigger seeing the pain in my eyes but next moment, the smile on its face froze, and humans lying on the ground begin to scream again.
The vines have erupted from the ground and burrowed mercilessly in the bodies of humans. I had not to hold back even a big; I made the vines pierce through them and spread into their body as fast as possible.
The vines have not only started sucking the worms but also miasma that had entered their body despite the protection of pill and would have killed them half an hour if there had been no treatment.

His old life aboard the Valkyrie, an interstellar destroyer has also been replaced as he finds his new body in an unknown world. Where he learns of magic, skills, the system, helhorses, and slinging lead with ancient revolvers. Initially, he is skeptical of his new norm but the desire to survive leads him to try to earn a living while he figures out what just happened to his life. He's a fighter but far from the elite, a grunt with some experience. But what better way than to fall back to what he's familiar with, weapons and going after criminals and rebels. With the added challenges of monsters. This is my first Litrpg writing. It's a wild west fantasy setting with the MC taking a role as a gun-slinging bounty hunter in a world of magic and monsters. Hope you enjoy it. UPDATES AT 3PM EST ON MONDAYS AND THURSDAYS! Warning. The story has a slow start because I'm trying to keep my MC realistic. It takes him some time to adjust to his new surroundings, start to make some friends, and really get into the swing of it. I kind of think it's dumb when an isekai's MC manages to blink twice and suddenly adapts to their new world without any sort of struggle or learning period. So not doing that but don't worry Will may be confused and a bit unfocused at first but he'll grow into his own. Also using it to practice my digital artwork... which is far from par but improving. Keep an eye on author notes for maps and depictions of monsters and characters.
