Chapter 925 - Grimm Monsters Attack

In the evening, I had gone to the meeting but returned three hours later after attending a meeting, eating and training, and now I am meditating again.

I am still on the 4th layer as I don't think I am capable of withstanding the pressure of the 3rd Layer, as I am barely withstanding the pressure of the 4th Layer, I will take us quite a while before I can perfectly accommodate the pressure of the 4th layer and think about entering 3rd layer.

Time passed by as I meditated to comprehend the Rule and soon the Midnight came, but I still did not move away from my spot and continue comprehending the Rule Power without care for the World.

I was meditating when a huge vibration came out of my holowatch, and its power was so great that it had completely shaken my body.

I had not put up an alarm, and normal mails could not come in when one inside the layer comprehending and not to forget that huge shake.

This all could only mean one thing, and when I looked at my Holowatch, I was right the Grimm Monsters had finally made a move, the battle will start soon, I thought as I slowly got up from my place.

I feel very pressured in the 4th layer, but still, I tried to be as fast as I can and it still took seven minutes to walk out of the 4th layer. As I walked out of the 4th layer, it took me fifteen minutes to go out of the meditation field as everybody started to go out.

Every member of this City who is Silver Elite and above has received a summon, and so is the called reinforcement like us.

The only people who did not receive a summons were the people who have come, especially to Raven, to comprehend the Rule, but they will, too, receive the summons when things get hard on the battlefield.

As I got out of the Meditation Field, I shot toward the Adventurers Paradise, I've even used a sliver of energy from FeatherLight to increase my speed.

"The Grimm Monsters had made their move, hun!" I said when I reached Elton and my teammates, "Yes, we have got orders to wait in the wall." Said Elton before we started to fly toward the city wall, like many other people.

The sky of the Raven City is filled with people, everyone when one in the shiny sky they will see the people who are flying toward the huge city wall.

The city Wall of Raven City is quite new; the old wall could not compete against the swift development that Raven City was going through; thus it is demolished, and in its place, the new huge wall is built which is a hundred meters tall and ten meters thick and is inscribed with various strengthening and other formations.

Once the forcefield of the city got activated, then Knights could forget about breaking through it, only those who were above the Knight would have a chance to breach the wall through their strength.

Soon we reached the wall, but unlike most people, we did not go over it and stand over it; we walked inside the wall, like many other teams of the reinforcements.

We are reinforcements, as our name suggests we will only enter the Battle when cities own people could not handle the situation, till then we can just sit on the suit in the wall and watch the battle from there.

I don't like this arrangement at all, I wanted to go out and fight with all my strength and not wait here and watch the battle, and there is even a chance that powerful Grimm Monsters would not show up, and we will not get a chance to fight.

Though I should be not wishing it as it would make hundreds if not thousands of humans die, still, I really wish that battle would escalate a little, and I will get a chance to fight.

"I have to say this suit is quite good, just like those Elite seats in the Arena," Elton said as he sat on the comfortable chair which gave him perfect view, "I just wished we would be fighting matches in Arena rather than watch our people fight to the death with the Grimm Monsters," Elton added with the sigh.

To that, I could only sigh too as this is reality. I took a seat beside him and opened the intelligence reports on holowatch.

The Grimm Monsters are still quite far; they will take at least an hour before they come in front of us, which is quite for humans to assemble for the battle.

Forty-five minutes had passed, and Grimm Monster could be seen from a distance. From where we are stilling, they looked like a wave of ants, which was getting bigger and bigger as they came closer.

As the intelligence said, the numbers of the Grimm Monsters are nearly a million compared to them; we have about four hundred thousand people. In them about Three Hundred and Seventy Thousand are Silver Elite while Thirty Thousand are the Golden Elites.

I am quite impressed seeing such numbers as I did think Raven City will have Silver Elites and Golden Elites would have such numbers but looked like I underestimated the city that is constantly dealing with the attacks of Grimm Monsters too much.

Though these numbers are less than half of the Grimm Monsters, they are still good numbers as we mostly fight against the Grimm Monster that usually has twice and trice numbers than ours.

And these people who are below are not the normal people; they are battle-hardened people who are fighting against the Grimm Monsters for the months, they have extensive experience of fighting in large battles which normal people couldn't compare.

Soon both Armies came face to face with just having one kilometer of the distance between them.

Both of them Armies stare at each other trying to intimidate others, these tactics may seem unimportant but they are very important; the slightest edge could create a big effect battle.

ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK...

As both of the Armies staring at each other, a battle cry rang out at a similar time from both of the camps, and just as it rang out, both of the armies shouted battle cry loud enough that could be heard from the kilometers distance.

Both Armies started to move each while moving the attacks had started; methods attacks began to fly on both sides, seeing so many people casting their methods attacks looked like brilliant fireworks of beautiful colors lighting in front of them.

The clashes to these method attacks look mesmerizing, but they are very threatening even to the Diamond Elite.

One has to be very careful; as thousands of harmless attacks that could create a chain reaction that is powerful enough to vaporize even an Adamantine.

Finally, both of the teams clashed halfway in the kilometers distance between them, and the sound of metals started to ring out across the battlefield as the humans, and the Grimm Monsters started their real bloody battle which is amazing as it is terrifying.
