Shick!
I took out my sword from the Grimm monster's chest one smooth motion and crush the last speck of Ominous plant core in my mouth to heal my injuries.
Thud!
Its body fell on the ground, and my injuries started to heal at the visible speed and withing a second. This was the bloodiest fight I have been in quite some time, I did not get much injured in the battle as I am now.
Hearing the sound of fighting, I know Rachel is still fighting and about to walk toward her when I noticed Horned Dogman, which is lying immobile on the ground.
I did not kill it as I have to harvest the mana crystal off it, so without wasting any time I bound it and started to charge my sword as for Rachel, I am sure she will handle that monsters on her own, and there is Ashlyn, who will save her if she comes to any danger.
The Horned dogman had probably guessed what is going to happen to, and it is now begging with its eyes, but I did not feel any shred of the mercy of it, it is sure that it had done things that are hundred times worse than what I am going to do it.
Puchi!
As the sword completly charged, I pierced through the center of the chest, and it started to make muffled noises through the gag, but I did not listen to them for a bit, and I am solely concentrated on the red lines that are spreading all over its body.
Soon the lines finished spreading, and its body started to turn red; after elementalising its magic veins, its elementalisation of its body started, which finished in few seconds.

This process may seem long, but it happened very fast, it finished within the minute, the harvesting process takes a longer time than the elementalisation process.
Seeing its whole body elemetalised, I placed the runic disk on it to harvest the fire crystal from the Grimm Monsters body. I was quite surprised to see that the monster is still alive.
This monster was really powerful, such terrifying vitality helped it survive the whole elementalisation process if I had not used the Runic disk, I am confident that it would have reversed the elementalisation and became good as new in just a few hours.
That is why it important to kill Grimm monsters on the chance one got otherwise with their terrifying vitality; they could heal from any damage.
After placing the Runic Disk, I did not stay near the body and walked toward the place where Rachel is fighting. It is one thing elementalising the body, but if I stayed there till the crystals harvest, then I would not here end of it if Rachel came to know.
It took me a few minutes to reach the place where Rachel and that Horned Dogman fighting.
When I looked at their fight, I was quite surprised to find that Rachel seemed quite fine, it was the Grimm monster that is having a hard time. The Grimm monster is barely able to defend against Rachel's attacks, if not for it having a terrifying vitality, it would have died under the Rachel's blade.
Against the Grimm monster, Rachel is still not using her Totem Artifact, but I could still sense that mysterious faint energy from her, this is what gives her boost in power.
This energy is really mysterious; despite being faint to the degree of barely noticeable, it gives a huge boost to Rachel. I couldn't help but wonder about the amount of energy she has and if she had it in huge amount and she would able to use it all then what terror she would bring.

The fight is continued, though the Rachel had the clear upper hand the Grimm Monster is not weak either, especially now when it at its last leg, it is giving it all to survive.
I found a hidden spot a sat while enjoying the view of Rachel as she fights. She is really graceful, every movement from her exclude grace. Its like she is not fighting but dancing.
Puchi!
She is finally able to pierce its heart after some time, though it cost her a little as she had exchanged wound for a wound, but compare to wound on her shoulder, which could be easily healed, the wound on the monster's heart is really dangerous.
Just one simple command and lightning rule that is lingering in the monster heart would obliterate its heart.
"Well done," I said as I come out of my hiding place, she did not seem surprised me coming out after her battle is finished.
"It took me more time to finish it off comparing to you," said Rachel as she started to bind and Gag the monster, and after she finished with it, she took out the Artifact from her storage and started to charge it.
Puchi!
In ten seconds, the weapon is fully charged, and she brought it down on the center of the monster's chest.
In the whole day, Rachel had experimented with more than 20 Grimm monsters today, but she was not successful even once. Well, I had tried with near thousand had that experience.
I would have not needed that much if I had the control over the energy I had now, just two-three days would have been more than enough to enough for me harvest the elemental crystal.
As Rachel started pierced the Grimm Monster's center of mana veins, the center turns completly purple before it started spreading all over its body.
Hun!
I looked at the line spreading purple lines with the surprised expression, as till now, Rachel never had able to elementalise more than ¾ of the magic veins, but now it had surpassed the previous process and reaching the ending.
"Yes, yes, yes, I did it."
Rachel started to shout and started to do the silly dance, which I had never seen her do before.
I looked at the monster's body incredulously; I could see the elementalise veins which now elementalising the whole body of the beasts; the process is nearly completed, as long as the whole body elementalised she will be able to harvest the lightning crystals.
I had never thought she would be able to do this on the first day trying with just twenty-something Grimm monster to practice while It took me months, and I practiced with near one thousand monsters.
"Didn't you say, I would need at least three days before I will be able to harvest the crystals," she said as she looked at me after she placed the runic disk on the monster to harvest the crystals.
"You are very talented, Ive underestimated you," I said I wanted to say is it is a fluke. She still would need at least three days of practice before she could do it perfectly, but I am not an idiot who will say that.
Ting!
Time passed by, and a few minutes later, the ting of Runic disk rang out, hearing that Rachel did not waste a second, she took the runic disc off the dried body of the Grimm monster and looked at the bright purple crystals with starry eyes.

This is my first work and I will hopefully stay around for a while. I will try to finish or at least expand on this piece of work for quite some time, expect a few hiatuses in between though, still have a bit of schooling to do. Expected release dates will probably be once a week(not sure yet) after I stabilized the novel a bit as I'm still debating on how I should handle this. I prefer fleshed-out works compared to quick releases, but it also depends on how I'm feeling. I don't have a lot of confidence in my writing skills and I believe that my writing style is a bit weird, but I do want to try my best to tell a story that's worth telling. I will gladly accept criticism but please try to pull the punches back a bit! I'm still only human after all. Very excited to work on this, please take good care of me as I proceed on this journey with all of you! P.S. If you're going into my series, expect to see cliches sprinkled here and there. I personally love cliches and a few tropes! But, that goes without saying, I want to put my own spin on them. Be ready to feel the edge!!! Heh.
