Monster Integration Chapter 261

I dived into ongoing large battle, it can not be called dived in as battle is happening down below, a dive up would be a good choice of words.
I did not look much at the battle but one look was enough to see what is happening down below.
The team of six people all of them either at peak Corporal stage or Sergeant stage fighting the Group of Ape monsters, all the monsters ape seemed to at initial to the peak level of sergeant stage.
The interesting thing happened when I and the Reaper entered the are of battle, we entered the battle more specifically The Blade Snake, the Ape monsters stance completely changed after catching the shadow of The Blade Snake.
They who were screaming in fury while fighting with humans had become quiet as a mouse and started to run at their most top speed without care for the battle.
Their expression looked like they have seen the death god and did not wish to stay at the place where the death god had visited.
I didn't have time to see the reaction of fellow humans as I already sped past the battle and looking at the blue blur that is following me without stopping, It seemed that it is is dead set on eating my brain as it did not even give looked at the human who has great numbers and was quite powerful also.
I felt ashamed thinking this but I kind of hoped that this reaper which had been following me would be enticed by the other humans and stop following me with such frenzy.
"Sister, what happened?" Asked a Peak Corporal stage boy seeing all the monster running so suddenly.
He fought little distance away from the main battle so he was not able to see the blue blur that went ran past the center of their battlefield if he had seen that blur, he would have not asked that question.
"The Reaper!" she said softly before looking at all her team member which still seemed in a daze, while her brother still seemed confused by her answer.
"Let's get out of Region 3 as soon as possible!" She shouted, her shout brought all her team member's back to themselves.

All of them nodded, started going toward opposite direction at their most top speed while traveling they started to discuss what they had seen in a hushed voice, a clear look fright still could be seen on their faces.
"Do you think he will survive?" A question came out of his mouth before he could control himself.
All gazes of his team member landed on him and one by one all of them started shaking their head.
Even if it was for second, they saw through the level of both The Reaper and the one it is following. From their view, if the runner's stage had been higher than the reaper by one or two, he would have slight chance to survive but runner's level was clearly below The Reaper according to them, he had no chance of surviving.
I had already activated the night vision mode on my mask an hour ago when the twilight came, now the whole sky had become dark, there not even soft light of the moon.
In this past hour, I had been attacked by The Reaper two times and both of the times I was able to dodge that fearsome blade on its tail.
Most of the credit of my dodging gone to the night vision effect of the mask.
When I had activated the night vision, I got surprised to find that the Blade Snake is one of the monsters that glow in night vision.
There is the scientific reason for which I won't go into detail but The Blade Snakes skin had some pigment which makes them glows in night vision, I got quite surprised the first when I noticed that as this information is not in the notes that provided to me by Jim and jill.
This help me along, with it being a glowing snake, it helps me a lot monitor its moment and whenever it tried to climb the tree, I would notice and would take a high jump with sky steps so its attack won't reach me.
I kept running while always moving my eyes below and front, I dare not to rest my eyes even for second as I know quite well one mistake and I will be dead by the Reaper's blade.

I had personally experienced the terror of it and I don't want to experience such a close shave with death again.
From the speed I run, I will need a whole night to cross the forest but that's not I am worried about, I will able to cross this night with help of many potions I brought, I even have some potion which helps to relieve mental and physical facing.
What I am worried about what came after the forest, I will have to cross twenty kilometers more after the forest to reach the boundary of the region 4.
That twenty kilometers area is small wasteland which had no trees only plain ground without any vegetation, that area will be the real arena of my survival.
As these dense tall trees in the forest are acting as afield between me and the reaper but once this shield is gone, I would have to face the wrath of the Reaper directly without any obstruction.
I am hoping that feeling of limit breaking came again but there no such luck no matter how much try.
As times passed by I started to feel pain under my legs, first, it was slight but as the times passed by it increased to the level that taking every jump had before painful.
It is worst in the sole of feet as that is where ignite the fire jets, if not for me drinking life potion now then, then the pain would get a lot worse.
Normally I ignite fire jets for three hours at most but now It had been six hours since I've been running and probably have to run ten hours more, I don't think even life potion help then for pain at that time, I have to drink those sedative potions that I have.
I rarely used the sedative, only when I really need them but this time I really need them, this time I will not have to drink sedatives of one type but the several types.
"Zzzzz!" 'Sky Steps!"
Suddenly I noticed the movement of Reaper as it tried to climb a tree but when it was halfway into climbing the tree, I had high in the air where it could not reach me.
It had no choice but climbed back as I jumped several trees in front of it, in its frustration it started to strike several trees which fell of one another.
After letting out frustration, It again started followed me without stopping.
Times passed by and as the times passed, I started feeling the pain that I barely able to bear not only that I became tired physically and mentally.
Seeing no choice, I started to drink several potions that not only whisked away my pain but also made energized both mentally and physically but these potions effects did not last long as I had to keep drinking them every hour to maintain my peak performance.
As I keep drinking more of that sedative potion my body started to crave them more as It is instinctively known that even slight delay could make pay the price that I will be not left alive to pay.
I kept drinking potion despite knowing, that when I stop I will face the effect lot worse that I am feeling right now but I couldn't care less about that as only because of this potion I am running at my peak, if not I would have succumbed to the pain and fatigue hours ago.
"Finally!" I said happily when I saw first rays of dawn twelve hours later of my running but my happiness did not last long, half an hour later when the sky had become bright enough, I saw the wasteland for the distance.
It will take me a maximum half an hour to reach the end of the forest and that is when my real running will start.
My survival will depend on my efforts and some luck, if I failed then I will embrace the angel of death finally.

Necromancer and Co.
In a time before the existence of the present, the gods decided to create a plane of existence where all their creations could exist in the same place. In it, all would be fair, and all gaps between races and technological advancements could be crossed with a single system that the gods had created. Every year, the gods would choose a new race to put in their land, and in this new group of beautifully unlucky people, Alen, his friends, and a few people from Earth have finally met their turn to be tossed into the playground of the gods. Unfortunately though, Alen was thrust into a forest of corpse-eating bears and horribly smelly undead on his first day, one of the many danger-zones of the continent the gods had chosen to throw them in. It would be easy to say that he simply died within the first day, or that he'd starved to death or whatever, but let's be honest... That story would be no fun to tell, yes? (Re-write of my first fiction with the same name.)
