Monarch Of Time Chapter 569

A few minutes later, Liu Mei and the rest had also finished handing in their missions and obtained their sect points, before they went and gathered around Shun Long.
With a curious look in his eyes, Bai Longtian looked at Shun Long and asked in a slightly eager tone
''Are we going to choose faction missions now?''
Everyone turned their eyes towards Shun Long who nodded his head and said
''Let's take a look at the missions on the 'Mission board' first.''
With Liu Mei, and the rest all following after him, Shun Long made his way towards the enormous blackboard at the depths of the Assignment Hall where all the missions of the sect were posted.
Skipping the personal D-rank missions, Shun Long's eyes went directly for the faction missions.
''D-rank faction mission: Kill the infamous bandit Lu Yong and eradicate his group that has killed and raped countless men and women. Since this is a faction mission and the bandit leader's cultivation has reached the middle of rank 6 in the Nascent Soul, a faction with at least 10 middle-stage Nascent Soul outer disciples are recommended to take on this mission.
Reward: 850 sect points''
''D-rank faction mission: Infiltrate the mansion of the city lord of Vast Ocean city and find out if the rumors of him abducting mortal girls and keeping them imprisoned in his home are true. Since the city lord's cultivation has reached the early stages of the Dao King realm, extreme caution is required.
Reward: 900 sect points''
''D-rank faction mission: Hunt down a middle rank 5 'Poison-tongued Toad' from the 'Giant crane Forest' 3000 miles away from the Holy city, and bring back its magic beast core.
Reward: 7000 sect points''
After a quick look, Shun Long actually noticed that there were plenty of D-rank faction missions suitable for him and Liu Mei and the rest to accept, and most of them could even be completed by a single person.

Of course, that was only for monsters like Shun Long and the rest of them who could fight people above their cultivation level, and even then, most of the missions could prove quite difficult to complete.
At the same time, Shun Long even noticed that there were some D-rank faction missions that gave as many sect points as some C-rank ones, like those missions that required the disciples to hunt down middle rank 5 magic beasts like the middle rank 5 'Poison-tongued Toad'.
Normally, the beast cores of middle rank 5 magic beasts would be sold for 5000 sect points in the Golden Treasures Hall, but beast cores from specific magic beasts could fetch much higher prices, even reaching double the original price.
Turning his head to look at Jiang Chen and the rest, Shun Long then said
''I was originally planning for us to take on the D-rank faction missions together, but it seems that there is no need for that.
With everyone's current strength, each of us is able to take on a single faction mission alone.''
Although Shun Long knew that something like this wouldn't be easy even for geniuses like them, he knew that they could only push themselves if they wanted to reach the peak of strength in the Holy sect....
After all, even though they were all geniuses who weren't inferior to anyone else in the sect and they could even be compared to some of the strongest geniuses of the outer court in terms of talent, it's not like the other outer disciples would simply wait while they themselves get stronger.
Jiang Chen and the rest had serious looks on their faces when they heard Shun Long's words, but they still nodded their heads in response.
Since every one of them had chosen to follow Shun Long, they had already decided that they would follow him regardless of what they had to do or if they had to put themselves in danger.

Besides, if Shun Long was willing to take on a D-rank faction mission by himself with his cultivation that was still at the early rank 3 of the Nascent Soul, then how could they even think of complaining when they were already at the rank 5 of the Nascent Soul right now?
Even though they all knew that Shun Long was a monster who couldn't be judged using common sense, none of them wanted to be left too far behind him.
If they could breach the gap between them taking on these risks, then every one of them would immediately do so.
Without saying a word, each of them looked at the faction missions on the wall as they started to ponder over which one they would choose.
Finally, 20 minutes later, Bai Longtian was the last one to finish choosing a faction mission as he turned his eyes towards Shun Long.
Seeing that everyone else was ready, Shun Long walked to the Mission counter to register their missions.
Half an hour later, when his turn finally arrived, Shun Long looked at the young man behind the mission counter and registered the 2 missions that he wanted to accept.
''D-rank faction mission: Hunt down a middle rank 5 'Poison-tongued Toad' from the 'Giant crane Forest' 3000 miles away from the Holy city, and bring back its magic beast core.
Reward: 7000 sect points''
The young man was slightly surprised when he saw the contents of the first mission, reading it one more time to make sure that he wasn't mistaken, before he once again looked at Shun Long in confusion.
His cultivation that was at the early rank 3 of the Nascent Soul was truly too low for him to even think of participating in such a mission.
''I wonder which faction actually took this guy in with such a low cultivation base.''
Even though the young man was surprised by Shun Long's first mission, he still nodded his head before turning his attention towards the second one.
The moment that he read the second mission's description however, his eyes instantly widened, as he immediately turned to look at Shun Long with an incredulous look
''C-rank faction mission: Travel to Tang city of the 'Blue star continent' in the Northern region and infiltrate the royal palace of the Tang dynasty to assassinate the crown prince. This mission requires extreme caution as there is at least one early-stage Dao King who is protecting the crown prince in secret at all times.
Reward: 10.000 sect points''

Dream Dungeon
Welcome to the dream dungeon. Ely suddenly finds himself in a mysterious dungeon accessed only through sleeping. Many people are drawn into this dream world, confused and mystified. Those in this dungeon must kill monsters to survive; maybe even each other. Join Ely as he struggles to survive a ruthless environment. What replaces his rest is untold trauma. What seems like an innocent game trope turns into a nightmare. This is a story of tragedy and the path to ultimate power. All in the hopes of an uncertain survival. _________ This fiction has NOT been abandoned. I made a haughty promise earlier to not worry because I'll continue this series, and with things lately, I've only proved myself a liar. Further promises dwindled, and I've lost trust. So many things have been going on recently that I've been booked. I will refrain from making any future guarantees or promises as my busy schedule will stay with me for a long long while. Time for me to actually spend on writing and revising won't appear until at the least November 19. I won't say expect that's when I'll restart, but you can expect expecting it to maybe happen. That's really shallow. But with everything going on, I've let my small reading base down. I apologize. I still stick by my statement though that I won't abandon this project. I plan to stick it to the end, no matter the delay. Most importantly, thank you everyone; readers who both like and dislike my work. I appreciate your time spent on my dumb imagination. Stay toasty my readers in this winter season. Cheers. UPDATE: We're back on track. Thank you for your patience. Any future readers, heyo! Glad you're here. UPDATE 2: So far it's been 21 days since I last uploaded a chapter. The best thing done for any fiction, no matter how good it is, is that it continues, and I have a bad history with that. 1 fiction on hiatus and already more delays with less than 20 chapters in this fiction. I've been very preoccupied with adding more things to do in my life rather than actually committing to any particular thing. That applies primarily to this. I cannot abandon this, as busy as my future looks and will look as I get busier and busier. Someday, I hope, I will be able to sit down and just write. just. write. But for now, I ask for patience. I suppose I'm glad this fiction hasn't picked up so that I don't disappoint too many people if any really. But I need to commit and it's going to happen sometime and sometime soon. No more flowery words. I'll see you later. UPDATE 3: It's very evident I won't be able to pick up this story for a while. With AP Testing, competitions, and other things I am busier than ever. But I must complete this fiction. I have too. Until next time. UPDATE 4: It is now the summer. I owe everyone an apology. Chances are, nobody's around to see this, and that is okay. I only blame myself for this sort of brokenness of a fiction, not that it is actually that bad but I am just exaggerating it for dramatic effect. But what's not exaggerated is the severity of my broken promise. I apologize for my naive claims about finishing a novel that I couldn't finish and that I didn't have the discipline to finish. Nor the skills, really, I was and am still an immature writer. What is to place now? I want to make it clear I understand this is my fault. I will man up to this. And I will accept any criticism. I understand I messed up. Reading Stephen King's On Writing made it clear to me that I need to do two things:Read lots. And write lots.I have done neither. If I don't have the time to read often, how do I expect to write? I need to become more experienced. I need to become a serious writer. So if I want to dream of continuing, I need to at least fulfill both requirements. I enjoy writing. I haven't written seriously outside of school in a while. I planned to write this summer and finish this. I made a lot of promises that I didn't keep.So there's that. I won't enact any self-pity, or be foolishly obsessed. What I did was wrong, and I must deal with it. I let down readers. And I apologize.I hope I can find forgiveness. This is a writer's sin.I won't promise I'll finish this. I intend to finish this, at some point, because writing is fun and I want to write. But how things are don't reflect that. Maybe I'll finish this at some point. Maybe I won't. I won't be naive to make that promise.I thank everyone who has read this if this is the end. If not, and hopefully not, I thank everyone who is to read future chapters. I thank everyone who allowed me to live in the miniscule little dream of mine as I passed my days. I thank everyone who cares enough to read this. Until next time, peace everyone. Thank you. You are all great readers and great people. I wish everyone the best in whatever reading/writing endeavors follow you henceforth.

Life is Wilde
There is a world where fiction meets reality. A world where human logic may prevail. Where human logic is the main thing that binds humanity. A world where Humanity is lesser to The World.Synopsis (For Chapters after Authors Note):Oscar is a child alike most others. He loves his mother, doesn't know his dad, and lives in a dome. Only, his greatest dream is to explore the vast wildes that plague the world. The problem is, the wildes house strange creatures mutated by radiation and a mysterious energy called "The Essence". How will Oscar ever survive in this chaotic world? Come, watch as our beloved character grows, makes friends, and paves a road into the firmaments as he establish his name in the new historical categories.Author's note*:This is an idea I'm roughing out. I'll be writing randomly, attenmpting to forge a storyline from my own sweat, determination, and creativity. It's loosely based on some Wuxia/Xuanhuan fictions I've read. It will have elements of human physiology, psychology, environmental science, nature vs man, man vs nature, human nature vs humanity, etc. This story is mean to be a work of fiction. It encompasses some of my views on morality. It will have corruption, foul-language, ignorance, racism. It will glean a bright world with imagination fused with the dark shadows for some to seek refuge. Though, in the world I will be creating... Refuge comes at a cost. A steep one. That is the Way of the World. The way of my world.Need cover art plz
