Lillie hands the mask to Death and let him lead them to wherever the treasure was.
Along the way, they came across heart-stopping traps, poisonous snakes, and large spiders. Stubborn, white web continue to pester the group's hair and face after they passed the spiders lair.
The sound of gentle stream rushing down a particular path was music to their ears.
Exiting the dark forest and towards the clearing with rushing stream, the group squinted their eyes as the light of the sun greeted them.
Sunlight casted the crystal water a shimmering lure as green lush sprouted everywhere, proudly displaying colorful and fragrant flowers; as if this place was personally tended by fairies.
In this moment, Han Taiyi and Chu Lizheng understands why the two Grand Disciples enjoys trekking through the forest.
Ignoring the dark and dangerous side, nature is truly one of the most beautiful thing in this world.
The cool stream was clear and drinkable. Additionally, it helped the group freshen up and completely ward off the webs.
Ethan tenderly held Lillie's hair as he assisted her in removing the white threads.
Stomachs begging for food was the indication that it's time to take a break.
Death hugged his shrunken duffle bag closer into his body, glaring at Lillie who was eyeing it.
"You have food to spare, don't be inconsiderate." Lillie spread her palm, gesturing Death to give the bag to her.
"There's no food here!" He retorted, taking a step back as Lillie inched forwards.
"We saw you pack our leftovers from the hotel. Also, it was you who pulled us into this mess, so the least you could was share." Ethan's mouth formed into a snarl and his eyebrows knitted together in annoyance.
Death shook his head.
"You leave me no choice." Lillie's eyes frost, her body ready to pounce at any second.

"Wait, wait!"
At Death's exclamation, Lillie recoiled.
"There's nothing left," Death avoided their glares with a pout and muttered. "I ate it all."
"What?" Lillie heard him alright, but her question doesn't mean she wants him to repeat what he said.
Death had the gall to look embarrassed. "The crew and I ate it when we went drinking." He mustered a quiet reply.
Lillie had the urge to smack her forehead.
And so she did.
Sighing exasperatedly, Lillie instructed everyone to prepare a camp.
As punishment, she made Death go back in the dark forest to search for fruits and collect dry brunches and firewood.
While she and the rest would dip into the stream to catch fishes. Luckily, the fishes swimming around this area were edible and of satisfying sizes.
Lillie promptly took off her shoes and socks before rolling up her pants and sleeves. Ethan did the same. And together, their feet touched the water.
Han Taiyi and Chu Lizheng went to the opposite direction to cover more ground and not scare off most of the fishes.
The stream's floor was slippery, so Lillie and Ethan held on to each other as they carefully trudge.
"There," Lillie pointed towards a large rock. Forearm length fishes were spotted swimming under the rock's shadow—probably hiding themselves from predator's eyes.
"Can you catch one by hand?" When Ethan nodded, Lillie said, "Good. Slowly go around and behind the rock. Once you've catch one, make sure you scare them towards me."
Engraving the plan in his mind, Ethan did as Lillie's instructions and stealthily walked around and approached behind the large rock.
A curse left his lips when he saw two of the fishes swim out of the group. They must've been frightened by the disturbance his feet made.

Ethan reached behind the large rock and remained motionless for a few seconds. He would have to let the fishes adapt to his presence and assure them that he's not a threat.
A flash of blur later, Ethan's hand had its tight grip on a fish's tail. The forearm length fish angrily struggled out, but to no avail.
Ethan look at his wife and saw her holding two.
Lillie smiled at him, "Good job."
"You too." Ethan grinned proudly.
Going back to the surface, Lillie and Ethan placed the wiggling fishes on the pile of leaves they prepared beforehand.
"Whew! That was excruciating." Contrary to what she said, Han Taiyi seemed to be having fun as a wide smile stretched her lips.
An equality tired yet happy Chu Lizheng trailed behind her, holding their catch. "The water was really cool that we almost went in for a swim too." He laughed, water dripped from his drenched hair.
Both of their clothes were wet, but they didn't give the impression of being bothered.
"Tempting indeed, but you two need to dry off lest you catch a cold." Lillie opened her duffle bag and offered clean towels.
The Sun students gratefully accepted the towel and dried off as much as they can.
About 20 minutes later, Death came back carrying firewood on his shoulders and an assortment of fruits and berries in his duffle bag that became a makeshift basket.
"Start the fire." Lillie commands him.
Death was about to whine and protest but swallowed it back when Lillie sent him a warning look.
"Yes, ma'am..." He reluctantly mumbled, arranging the firewood, branches and dried leaves before grabbing a flint.
Using the dagger he always carry with him, he glide it harshly against the stone to create a spark. Soon enough, the dried leaves were sent aflame then the woods.
Han Taiyi and Chu Lizheng came closer to the fire and sighed as it warmed their bodies. They removed their wet, yellow tunic and lay it near the flame to dry it.
They were wearing tank tops underneath their uniform, and luckily, they weren't drenched.
As Lillie suspected from before, their uniforms really did cover their impressive physique.
The fishes were cleaned and gutted. All that's left was to pierce them on the sticks and lay them to the fire to cook.
Without seasonings, the fishes were bland. But they didn't complain as most of them didn't expected to go in the wilds. As long as it fills them, they're satisfied.
