Lady Boss, Please Spoil Your Husband! Chapter 273

Storm's ears flattened behind his head, his beady, yellow eyes stared at his mistress pleadingly. His large paw resting on top of her duffle bag, refusing to let her leave.
"It'll be only for a few days, Storm." Lillie affectionately ruffled the black wolf's head. No language barrier stopped them from understanding one another. "Look after everyone for me, alright? I promise to bring you something good when we get back."
Storm mewled, his tail wagged in a slow, downhearted manner.
Ethan stood by the door frame with slight astonishment. Who knew this fierce-looking fellow could actually make such an adorable expression?
He's not much different from his mistress then.
"I'm ready! Let's go." Death padded down the stairs with a duffle bag hung on one shoulder.
Ethan raised his eyebrow. Was he bringing anything with him when he shamelessly barged into their home.
"I hope you don't mind, Junior Sister, I brought some or your shampoos and soap with me. You know how expensive the good ones in the Academy are like. Because master confiscated half of my money, I can only buy those cheap ones that dries your skin and hair." Death's face scrunch up in distaste just remembering it.
He's the type who takes good care of his skin and hair, despite how he portrays himself. Even without looking closely, you could tell with how lustrous and soft they are.
"I'm aware. You can bring as much as you like." Lillie nodded in agreement. "Though I doubt they're what filled your bag. What else is inside there?"
Death laughed sheepishly. "Just some snacks along the way."
"Snacks?" Ethan muttered, suspiciously eyeing the duffle bag that's ready to burst.
"I get hungry easily, all right? Bite me!" Death folded his arms with a "humph!"

Lillie ignored the two bickering males and headed outside to tell the driver of the destination they're going.
While she inserted her own duffle bag and a tightly lidded wine jar in the trunk, she heard the two males striding behind her to also put their bag with hers.
Their squabbling didn't cease, so Lillie had to pinch and pull their ears to shut them up. "You two can argue to your hearts' content when I'm not around." The threat in her tone didn't go unnoticed.
"Yes, ma'am." They muttered, nursing their abused ear.
Lillie said her final goodbyes to Storm by stroking the thick coat around his neck with both hands.
"We'll be going now." Lillie send a single nod to the housekeepers.
"Take care, young miss, young master Li, and sir Death." Butler Tian bowed his head and so did Nanny Ying.
"Look after each other, alright?" Nanny Ying said with a gentle smile. "I hope you enjoy your trip as much as you can. You two deserve a break."
"Wuwuwu, thank you for taking care of me!" Death cried to the two housekeepers and the head cook, who also came out to see them off.
Death especially love the head cook, Annie, because she would always cook for him whenever he would enter the kitchen to look for something to eat.
And her dished were to die for!
"Take care of your healths! And refrain from eating too much junk food, Mr. Death." The jolly woman reminded them. "I hope the food I packed for you will be enough."
"It's more than enough, thank you!"
Tranquil Villa's housekeepers waved at the car as it drove out of the gates and from their view.
It was a two hour drive to the airport. Thankfully, Ethan and Death took her warning seriously and remained silent the whole ride. Lillie and Ethan sat at the back while Death was on the passenger seat.

Besides, they wouldn't dare make a sound when the phoenix nestled her head on Ethan shoulder to take a nap.
When they arrived, the airport's personnels were quick to receive and assist them to the private jet.
Death wander his eyes around the extravagant interior of the jet. In his commoner's eyes, it seems everything was made out of gold and diamonds.
When he sat on the large sofa, he thought it was alive and was about to eat him!
No, it was only soft and comfortable that it nearly lulled him to sleep. But Death wouldn't miss this chance of experiencing luxury by sleeping. He grabbed the remote on the table and turned on the huge flatscreen TV in front.
"There's a bed here, Senior Brother, if you want to rest." Lillie appeared from a corner and told him.
Death's head snapped towards her and jumped out of his comfy seat to explore more of what the private jet has to offer.
Lillie had an amused expression as she observed her senior brother act like a kid in an amusement park.
She walked towards another bedroom where she and Ethan would stay throughout the jet ride. He was already there, going through his duffle bag for the disguise he'll be wearing.
It'll only be a one day trip before they'll arrive to the province where Soaring Dragon Academy was settled, so Lillie and Ethan would have to prepare everything before they'll leave the jet.
The flight attendants who went with them wouldn't question their sudden change of appearance.
They're those who can be trusted to keep their mouths shut. Besides, they knew how private the eldest miss Bai and eldest young master Li were with their life.
If they dare leak their whereabouts, two devils will be after their heads.

It was misplaced, however, for humanity's traditional quarrels soon resurfaced and engulfed a now interplanetary empire of many races. As the Earth Empire burned and an intense depression overtook the once optimistic people, some held out hope. Some 200 years have passed since then, and those hopeful ones have finally found a place to settle on. Firmly planting their flag in paradise, they called this untouched land "Eden" and declared the beginning of a true new age, the age of After Eden.Trouble, however, seemed to still be hounding them, as barely three years after its founding, Eden finds itself at war with a seemingly uncommunicative and uncompromising enemy that far outclasses the odd pirates they were used to facing. A new era of peace, marked by an immediate conflict. Time will tell if Eden, the Grand Experiment, truly is as great as it's supposed to be. ---------------------------------------- This is a sci-fi, character driven, military space drama. The Crisis on Planet 9
Welcome to the dream colony Planet 9, where the streets are stained by blood and the buildings are filled with human remains. The creatures roaming among the abandoned cars and flying vehicles resemble almost to perfection the mindless cannibalistic zombies born from the fictional nightmares of mankind. The cities were built in the retro style of the 21st century, but the technology of the 24th century is ever present, mostly within the bodies of those mortally challenged monstrosities. After all, what turned them into these things was not an evolved organic virus, an alien disease, or some sort of magical artifact, it was the corrupted and reprogrammed nanobots within their bodies. Originally, they were meant to heal them and help them access the tech around them, but now they were the origin of this disaster. Among the rotting dead and the Nano-Z, as the survivors called them, Kardian Pandora awakens two months after getting bit by one of them. A young teacher at the local Resonance High, foolish and naive in his own way, but now driven by the Sapient AI in the nanobots inside his body to hunt down other Nano-Z and learn how to survive. For now, his only goal is to become strong enough and rejoin his students and fellow colleagues, foolishly hoping to somehow be able to get back to the time when the undead did not rule the streets.
