Jun Xiqing got up.

“Enough, Ah Da and Ah Xiao, let’s leave.”

Jun Xiqing and Ah Da were walking in front while Ah Xiao followed behind. She couldn’t help but turn around to look at the huge West Palace.

Though she appeared innocent, she revealed an eerie smile…

The next morning.

Fan Men arrived in front of the room and knocked on the door.

“Come in.”

Fan Men pushed the door open. “Duke, Jun Chulin’s execution is going to begin soon but there hasn’t been any news at all.”

Lu Yeming took a cold shower in the morning and changed into a white shirt with black trousers. He lowered his eyes, fastening his sleeves with neat movements.

Hearing Fan Men’s words, the corners of his lips kicked up. “Don’t worry, she’ll be here.”

One of the underlings reported from outside, “Duke, someone broke into the underground prison to save Jun Chulin, but we’ve captured them!”

Lu Yeming’s eyes shifted, but his expression remained unchanged. “Let’s go and check it out!”

In the underground prison.

Lu Yeming took Fan Men with him and the captured people hid in a corner. “West Duke, we’re innocent, we really aren’t here for a jailbreak! We’re just here to deliver some food. Someone hired us in the morning to deliver the food and even gave us the fingerprint needed to access the prison.”
