Hearing these two words, Jun Xiqing instantly figured everything out. So he had already sent a betrothal letter over to the East Palace. Once the wedding date was set, he would be making a public announcement that he would be marrying Ye Ruge as the Duchess.

Jun Xiqing recollected just two weeks ago, he promised to make her Duchess in Country Z. But now that recalled, that was merely him trying to pacify her at that time. He never had the intention to really marry her.

Her lips were still tingling and numb. He kissed her so overbearingly just now in the car, his scent was still on her lips.

His clean, masculine scent was left behind in her mouth.

However, Jun Xiqing’s heart sank.

He really was… a jerk.

He was already preparing to marry Ye Ruge and yet he kissed her in the car, even when she was dressed as a male.

Downstairs.

Lu Yeming held Ye Ruge’s waist with one hand and he used the other to pick up Ye Ruge’s jaw. With a spurious smile on his face, he exuded a mature charm as he said, “Don’t you want to marry me as soon as possible?”

The entire time, Ye Ruge had a sweet smile on her face as she hugged his neck, lifting her head to kiss his lips. Lu Yeming did not avoid her, he just let her kiss him.

Their lips mashed together.

As Ye Ruge looked at the handsome face in front of her at such close proximity, she opened her mouth to give him a passionate French kiss. As they kissed, he didn’t have much of an expression, he didn’t close his eyes. His gaze was cold and no one could fathom his thoughts.

He pushed her away with light movements, not letting her kiss him with the tip of her tongue. “It’s late now, I’ll have the chauffeur take you home.”

Ye Ruge was stunned. He actually pushed her away.

He didn’t let her kiss him.

Why?

Ye Ruge was clearly disappointed, but she was smart enough to know how to keep quiet and not kick up a fuss. They knew each other for years and he treated her well all the while. She was content with the title of Duchess.

Ye Ruge raised her brows seductively. “But… I don’t want to leave yet.”

Lu Yeming had one hand in his pocket, standing against the light as though he was an ethereal being looking at mere mortals. He really was suave and dignified.

His gaze landed on Ye Ruge’s pretty face, traveling downwards as the corners of his lips kicked up. “You want to spend the night with me?”

Ye Ruge blushed. It only took him one sentence to make her feel that way.

“I’ll leave now.” She turned around to leave.

Lu Yeming stood on the spot, watching Ye Ruge walk away. Then he turned around and headed upstairs after she left.

Upstairs.

Lu Yeming noticed Jun Xiqing and his lips curved into a sardonic smile. “You’ve been watching us?”

Jun Xiqing answered, “West Duke, let me wish you a happy marriage with Miss Ye in advance.”

Lu Yeming went in front, picking up her jaw. “You’re jealous? I’ve known Ruge for many years and we have a close relationship. I will definitely marry you, but Ruge is my duchess. But don’t worry, I’ll still dote on you.”

What was he talking about?

Jun Xiqing’s gaze turned icy cold. “West Duke, mind your actions.”

Lu Yeming looked at her, letting out a deep chuckle as he let go of her jaw, walking away towards the master bedroom.

Lu Yeming took a shower and changed into a set of black silky pajamas.
