Chapter 1085: Provocation

A low voice was heard. “Young Master Gu, why are you blocking my fiancée’s way?”

Lin Xuanji lifted her eyes to look, Lu Jinwen had returned. He wore a full black outfit, the classic shirt with trousers and exuded a dignified aura. Clutching his phone in one hand so tightly that his phone was almost going to break, he threw Gu Tianling an impassive glance.

He saw Gu Tianling blocking Lin Xuanji’s way once he returned from answering the call outside.

The corners of his lips quirked up into a cold smirk. To be honest, he had already forgotten about the existence of Gu Tianling. Without the Lu family in the Capital this lifetime, the Gu family had become the most wealthy and influential family.

Lin Xuanji’s eyes lit up once she saw Lu Jinwen had returned. His powerful aura gave her such an indescribable, yet strong sense of security.

It seemed like nothing would go wrong so long as he was present. Lin Xuanji quickly ran over to him.

With one arm stretched out, Lu Jinwen held her slim waist as he asked, “Are you okay?”

Lin Xuanji shook her head. “I’m fine.”

“This restaurant doesn’t have a good environment, let’s go to another one.”

Lu Jinwen held Lin Xuanji’s waist as he walked together with her. In order to leave the restaurant, they had to walk past Gu Tianling and company. He could just walk past them but Lu Jinwen chose not to. With steady footsteps, he walked towards the group.

He remained composed, not much of an expression on his face as he just gave the young masters a cold-eyed stare. He was just like a mighty king who gave them a condescending look, it gave them the chills.

The young masters quickly stepped aside, making way for Lu Jinwen. Lu Jinwen even knocked into Gu Tianling’s shoulder on purpose. It was a blatant warning.

Gu Tianling jolted and missed his footing. “You!”

Lu Jinwen took Lin Xuanji with him and they left the restaurant.

“Where did this man suddenly pop up from? I’ve never heard of such a character in the Capital before. He’s so arrogant!” Gu Tianling rubbed the shoulder Lu Jinwen just knocked into.

“Young Master Gu, that was Mr Lu. He’s a business prodigy who just came out of nowhere two months ago. I’d advise you not to provoke him. My father told me that he’s bound to be the overlord of the Capital in the future. All he needs is time,” a young master said.

Lu Jinwen sent Lin Xuanji back to X University.

School ended in the afternoon.

Lin Xuanji held her sketchbook in her arms and walked out of the gate. A silver Bentley parked right outside the entrance and Lu Jinwen leaned against the car, waiting outside. With his good looks coupled with the luxury car, he drew everyone’s attention.

The female college students all took discreet glances at Lu Jinwen, their faces turning red.

Lin Xuanji quickly ran over. “Mr Lu, why are you here?”

“I’m here to pick you up.” Lu Jinwen lifted his hand, ruffling her hair.

Lin Xuanji felt so touched by him, but he was being too high profile today.

“Xuanji.” Huo Yanmei ran over too.

Lu Jinwen looked sideways, a Ferrari sports car appeared. Gu Tianling had come.

In their previous lifetime, Huo Yanmei and Xuanji’s friendship had been torn apart because of this Gu Tianling. Their many years of friendship just ended like that because of one man, implicating two generations and causing so much suffering.

Lu Jinwen raised his brows, holding her slim waist naturally, but at the same time, in a very possessive manner.

The Ferrari stopped and Gu Tianling came out from the car. “Lin–”

He wanted to speak.

But a few men in black ran over, throwing a sack over Gu Tianling’s head.

Gu Tianling was abducted into a minivan and someone said. “Let’s go, Boss has ordered for Gu Tianling to be sent to Africa to spend a few years there.”
