Chapter 1078: Fate Brought Them Together

University in the Capital.

Lin Xuanji sat in her own seat, holding onto a pencil while sketching her jewelry design.

A group of male students were gathered outside, squeezing outside the window to take secret glances at Lin Xuanji.

Her hand suddenly stopped moving, a handsome face popped up in her mind.

She had been thinking of him countless times for the past two weeks, her heart wrenched in pain with every single time she was reminded of him.

She no longer had her chastity.

She had lost the most precious thing a girl had.

Reminded of these memories, she grabbed the pencil so tightly till her hand hurt. Something light suddenly flew over, landing on her sketchbook.

It was… a colorful dandelion.

Lin Xuanji’s eyes lit up, it was her favorite dandelion.

But with the downfall of the Lin family, Xuanji needed to search for a place to stay. Huo Yanmei was her true friend, accompanying and helping her even through her toughest times.

“Thank you, Yanmei.”

“Xuanji, you’re welcome. You’re not familiar with the Capital and you don’t need to stand on ceremony with me. I’ve helped you pay for six months’ rent. You can move into the apartment today.”

“Yanmei…”

“Remember to include interest when you return me the money!”

Tears welled up in Lin Xuanji’s eyes, she was really touched by Huo Yanmei’s actions. She held Huo Yanmei’s hands tightly.

Huo Yanmei handed a set of keys over to her. “Xuanji, you can give me a call when you run into any problems. I’ll leave first.”

The inside of the car was totally silent. Lu Jinwen sat in the driver’s seat, holding onto his cell phone.

His gaze was fixated on her as she held those books in her arms while walking along the street. Her hair was long and flowy, she was such an ethereal beauty.

It was only because he had been busy.

He had Secretary Ye settle the matters in Karghalik discreetly, since he was the one who arranged everything, but Lin Zhong was her father after all. He had to make sure it appeared like he hadn’t been involved at all. Everything had to be settled properly.

Throwing his cell phone in the passenger’s seat, he stepped on the accelerator. Lin Xuanji only stopped when she heard some loud engine sounds beside her.

Looking sideways, a Rolls-Royce approached her and the window wound down, revealing a handsome face.

Lin Xuanji froze. She hadn’t expected him to appear here.

He was in the Capital too?

It must be fate that they met each other without arranging for it.

It made her flutter.

Lu Jinwen had both hands on the steering wheel, wearing a custom-made black shirt.
