Chapter 997: My Woman

Lu Yan stood there looking at these people and then he looked at An’an. He would never have imagined this scene even in his wildest dreams.

She had actually returned with the General.

Chen Jin walked ahead and patted Lu Yan’s shoulder. “Blood Eagle, it’s been hard on you.”

Lu Yan’s countenance was calm and he replied, “It’s my duty.”

Chen Jin nodded and said to the secretary beside him, “Demote Lin Shun three ranks with immediate effect and fire him so that he can reflect on his actions.”

“Yes, General. But what about Elder Miss? She’s still in the hospital.”

Chen Jin pursed his lips. “We’ll go to see her.”

Chen Jin walked ahead. Lu Yan looked at An’an and extended his large palm. “Aren’t you coming?”

An’an stuck out her pink tongue and ran over, giving him her hand.

Lu Yan held her cold little hand and said in displeasure, while frowning at her, “I’ll be forgiving towards you if you are honest, but punish you if you refuse to tell the truth. Admit your mistake now.”

He sounded domineering and overbearing when he was saying these few words.

An’an pouted her pink lips and said in a voice that was audible enough to the both of them. “Ah Yan, I’ll tell you a piece of good news. The General has already asked someone to re-investigate your father’s case.”

Lu Yan froze. He looked at the girl’s playful smiling face. She had gone overseas this time for his father’s case?

How did she even get to see the General?

Trespassing the military training ground was a serious offence and she could have been shot. Geez, was she not afraid of anything? This silly girl made his heart warm and tender.

Lu Yan did not say a word and merely held her hand to leave the airport.

The man took big steps and An’an needed to run a little to catch up with him. She pulled her hand, cocked her head and smiled. “Ah Yan, are you happy?”

Lu Yan did not speak.

An’an’s face was brimming with joy. She straightened herself and proclaimed proudly, “I’ve said it before, your role is to love your country, and my role is to love you.”

“Nonsense!”

Lu Yan impatiently replied, while holding onto her svelte waist. He hunched his body and captured her red lips.

Mmgh!

An’an instantly widened her eyes. What was he doing? Why was he kissing her?

There were so many people here!

Lu Yan heavily smashed his lips against hers, and his powerful tongue slipped into her mouth and devoured her relentlessly.

He could not wait any longer.

He needed to kiss her right then and there.

He was consumed with love for her.

At this moment, someone coughed. “Lu Yan, please be cautious of your image in public.”

There were two bullet-proof Jeep vehicles parked outside the airport. The secretary had opened the back door and Chen Jin was standing by the door, looking at Lu Yan and An’an with his hands behind his back and his gaze full of kind admonishment.

An’an promptly placed her hands on the man’s muscular chest and pushed him away. It was so embarrassing!

Lu Yan eyed An’an in displeasure and his large palm was still on her slender waist. “She’s my woman. I will kiss her whenever I like.”

What an obnoxiously conceited man.

Chen Jin shook his head and got into the car.

In the hospital.

The bullet in Qianqian’s right arm had already been removed during the operation. Her eyes were swollen like peaches from crying.

“Dad, I’m in love with Blood Eagle. Get Blood Eagle to marry me!” Qianqian whined pitifully to Chen Jin.

Chen Jin’s face was solemn. “Nonsense! Blood Eagle is a valiant man and no one can manipulate him. Even if I can get him to marry you, how can I force him to love you?”

“General.” At this moment, An’an’s soft voice rang out.

Chen Jin looked a little tired from the conversation with his daughter, but upon seeing An’an’s gentle and beautiful face, every ounce of tiredness disappeared and he smiled. “You’re not with Lu Yan?”

An’an’s eyes were bright and her face was flushed red. She looked like a typical girl who was in love and exuded shyness and sweetness.

“He has gone to take a call.”

Chen Jin nodded. “No wonder.”

“…” An’an changed the topic. “General, did you quarrel with Qianqian?”

Chen Jin did not answer the question and asked An’an instead, “An’an, how about your father? Your father must dote on you a lot?”

An’an was brave and morally upright, and she must have come from a very good family who taught her well.

An’an shook her head. “I don’t have a father.”

An’an took out her cell phone from her pocket. It was her Mom’s call. Although An’an could not comprehend what Huo Yanmei had done, Huo Yanmei truly loved her daughter.

An’an picked up the call. “Hello, Mom.”

“An’an, where are you now? I heard that you were injured and you were even stabbed in the abdomen seven, eight times. Did you know you scared Mom to death? I know that you don’t want to see Mom now because of the drugging incident. Mom is very worried about you now. Are you alright?” Huo Yanmei’s voice was laced with deep tiredness and worry.

Previously, Lin Xuanji had given her a few slaps which made her wake up and left her in tremendous pain.

She had been enlightened, and all that was left now was exhaustion. She was physically and mentally exhausted.

“Mom, I’m better now.” An’an looked down at her toes.

“Where are you now? Mom has already flown over and I’m now in the hospital. Which floor are you at?”
