But there were two rays of light on the lawn. A luxury car had driven over and stopped on the lawn.

Butler Ye opened the back door and Lu Jinwen alighted from the car.

Lu Jinwen was clad in a black overcoat and was tall and masculine. But his aura was even more dark and fierce than usual.

He walked over.

He gazed at Tang Mo’er for a moment before turning his attention towards Lin Xuanyin. “What’s the matter now?”

He sounded displeased as he questioned her.

Lin Xuanyin’s face lit up with glee when she saw Lu Jinwen. “Jinwen, save me! Mo’er wants to push me inside the cold water! I’ll die, I’ll really die if she does it!”

Lu Jinwen didn’t have any reaction after listening to her words but his face darkened.

He gave it some thought and figured everything out. He strode over and stopped beside Lin Xuanyin. “Xuanyin, didn’t I ask you to lie low? Why did you choose to do that, hm?”

He was smiling, but it was a spurious one. It gave Lin Xuanyin goosebumps, she couldn’t help but feel terrified of him. Ever since he learned of Lin Xuanji’s passing, he didn’t do anything, but at the same time, he had changed.

If possible, he had become even more cold and unfeeling.

Lu Jinwen slowly stood up and two bodyguards hired by the Lu family dived into the pool, pulling Lin Xuanyin up.

Lu Jinwen looked at Butler Ye, devoid of any emotion. “Find a doctor to treat her, make sure she doesn’t die.”

Lin Xuanyin was carried inside the villa.

Lu Jinwen turned around, looking at Tang Mo’er. “Mo’er, I’ve already taught Xuanyin a lesson on your behalf. Let this matter go, Xuanyin must stay alive, hm?”

Tang Mo’er remained straight-faced, she tucked her hair behind her ears. “Mr Lu, isn’t today’s scene a little familiar? Don’t you get a sense of déjà vu?”
