He then snickered at her, his chest pumping up and down.

Flora was petrified, she moved back, trying to get further away from this dangerous man in front of her. “You are… you are…”

“It’s none of your business who I am. Have a good nap and when you’re awake, we can continue,” Lu Yan said.

Flora felt a twinge in her neck, someone gave her an injection and her vision turned black as she fainted into a dead heap.

“Boss, Henry just gave Flora a call and we were able to intercept the signal. The call didn’t manage to connect but sly fox Henry seems to have already sensed something. He’s disappeared and our operation this time has failed.”

Lu Yan continued puffing on his cigarette while peering at the location-tracking monitor. He could see that Henry had already entered their targeted area and disappeared.

The room was silent, An’an curled up on the bed in a fetal position. Her negligee was all wrinkled , appearing like she had just been taken advantage of. The thin straps were hanging on her delicate shoulders, almost falling off those slender curves.

Her eyes were closed and her hair was all over her face. The simple recollection of the scene in the bathroom earlier on had her quivering. She felt ashamed.

The room door opened. A string of heavy footsteps was heard, someone was approaching her.

An’an slowly opened her eyes, Lu Yan’s chiseled features appeared before her.

He still had that same black shirt on but with his belt taken off, he seemed rather devilish.

He had come back from outside and his expression was a little more sinister.

He walked in front, easily lifting her up and he brought her into the bathroom. Placing her down under the shower head, he switched on the hot water and asked, “Can you wash up by yourself? I’ll be outside, if you need any help just call me.”

He turned around and left.

Thud. An’an had lifted up the bottle of shower gel and threw it at Lu Yan’s face.

He could have easily dodged it with his skills but he didn’t.

The bottle of shower gel had hit him, scraping his forehead. A stream of blood trickled down his cheek.

He stopped walking.

An’an glared at him, her hands were balled into fists by her sides. “How could you not even say a single word and even think of leaving after treating me that way?”

Lu Yan pursed his lips, the steam in the shower had blurred his face.

He was surrounded by the hot steam. His bones and muscles were well defined, looking to be as strong as steel.

But he was still cold inside, the hot steam wasn’t even able to make him relax and become more warm towards her.

He didn’t say a word.

An’an charged over, lifting her head to look at him. She hurriedly wiped away the blood on his face and applied pressure on his wound. Her eyes were red and she cried, “Does it hurt? I’m sorry, I really didn’t do it on purpose. I can’t bear to hurt you… but, why did you do it? You have to explain yourself.”

Her tears had streamed down and it blurred her vision. She continued crying, “I’ve already made up my mind to leave you, even burning my bridges by having sex with another guy. Why did you still have to come back, why did you have to treat me like this?

“Is it because I’m too cheap? Is it because you’re certain that even if you sleep with Flora, once you come back for me, I’ll drop everything and return to you again?
