He walked to the coffee table, picking up the offending document. His long and slender fingers flipped through the divorce agreement, his eyes scanning the walls of text with practiced ease. She wanted to divorce without any form of alimony.
He sat on the sofa and made a phone call to an unfamiliar number.
The ringtone sounded once before the call connected. “Hello.”
Her voice was clear and pleasant to the ears, even though she only uttered a single word. It was just like her beauty. He could almost see her, fair-skinned and as innocent-looking as an angel. She had always been so pure and refreshing. The two great beauties in Karghalik were undisputedly Tang Mo’er and Lin Shiyu. They were respectively the red rose and white rose like in Zhang Ailing’s famed novel.
Tang Mo’er was the seductive goddess while Lin Shiyu was forever the pure and innocent angel.
Without removing his black coat, Fu Qinglun lounged back into the wine-red sofa. “Mrs Fu, what’s the purpose in you sending over the divorce agreement? You don’t even have the courtesy to hand it to me in person now that you’re back. You’re trying to play hard to get even after leaving to Singapore for two whole years?”
“Mr Fu, it’s not that I’m manipulative, but it’s just that your imagination has improved in all this time. I guess anything can happen, it’s been two years after all.”
Fu Qinglun’s refined and handsome face instantly went emotionless. He didn’t have often have drastic mood changes, but when he did, his aura would become dark and menacing. “Mrs Fu, you’ve caused me to become a laughing stock amongst my friends by raping me on our honeymoon night. How dare you ask for a divorce?”

“Mr Fu, aren’t you the most clear about whatever the f*ck it was, that happened on our honeymoon night?”
Fu Qinglun’s froze and his aura instantly fell to a negative 40 degrees. “Lin Shiyu, you’ve changed. You’ve learned how to curse now?”

Tang Mo’er sat in the corner quietly, she didn’t dare to move as she didn’t have the capacity to do so.
Spotting her alone in the corner, a bodyguard tried to smash a wine bottle in her direction. Her pupils contracted and she froze. She wasn’t able to breathe properly and her breath caught in her throat as her eyes widened in fear. A strong man suddenly leapt in front of the bottle and protected her from the attack, holding her firmly in his arms.
‘Bam!’ the wine bottle was broke against his back and splintered into pieces, the wine flowing all over the ground.
Tang Mo’er looked at Gu Mohan, his black blouse was cut open and he suffered from a wound that was a few inches long. She was shocked still.

He protected her from the attack.
“You’re hurt!” Tang Mo’er couldn’t breathe, she couldn’t think. She felt as though her heart was held tightly and about to become crushed. Snapping into action, she hurriedly applied pressure to his wound to stop the bleeding.
Gu Mohan looked at her pale face while his body was hidden in the darkness. He was bleeding profusely and he smirked while saying arrogantly, “Are you satisfied now that there’s so many men fighting for you?”

Tang Mo’er couldn’t say anything, but could feel the telltale signs of moisture behind her lids. She blinked them back desperately.
The bar’s bodyguards and Fu Qinglun’s bodyguards charged in and controlled the chaos. Huo Beichen got rid of two bodyguards who were in his way and ran over to them. “Second Brother, are you okay?”
“I’m fine.” Gu Mohan licked his dry lips and and held Tang Mo’er’s thin wrist forcefully. He instructed Huo Beichen, “Get me the presidential suite.”

The door was opened and Gu Mohan pushed Tang Mo’er inside the presidential suite. He kicked open the shower door and threw her in front of the sink, before turning on the tap. The cold water sprayed out and he cupped the water in his hands and rubbed at the right side of her face.
