While Dave and Jas were having fun teasing the reporter, Cedric held his pregnant wife in his arms. They had just left their Mountain View Mansion and were on the way to the awards night.

As the guest of honor and the biggest businessman at the event Cedric and Adrianna would be the last to walk down the red carpet. Anyone that arrived later than them would have to enter through the side doors and wouldn't get the chance to be captured on camera or interviewed by the media.

Most people in the business community and in the entertainment industry knew that Cedric was always punctual unlike other businessmen of the same status. As a matter of fact, his friend Ram had to pass the side entrance once because Cedric had arrived to an event on time, while Ram was late.

Of course, Cedric had intentionally set that up as a prank on his friend. He had told Ram that he was running late, making Ram take his time before leaving for the event.

Tonight, with so many big names in the tech industry attending, he knew that many of them would arrive early. No one wanted to miss the opportunity of being on the same page as Mr. and Mrs. Reyes when the articles and newspapers came out the next day.

"What are you thinking about?" Adrianna asked as she looked up at her husband, She had been leaning on him, resting, after a long day at work.

"I was just wondering if Dave got the interview questions to Jas." Cedric told his wife as he planted a kiss on her head.

"Are you tired?" Cedric asked Adrianna. He had wanted her to take a break from work after he had returned, as a matter of fact if he had his way he wanted her to rest the whole of her pregnancy, but wife was a workaholic and refused to stay at home.

"No Ced." Adrianna told him, shaking her head. "I told you, I'm fine. Work isn't that difficult since I've assigned more to Uncle Matthew and my cousin Henry."

"And your cousin Margaret?" Cedric asked. Adrianna's cousin had made a full recovery and was now back to working at Island's Inc.

"She's doing quite well." Adrianna said with a smile. "As a matter of fact, I placed her in charge of all projects with the Reyes Group."

"That's good to hear." Cedric said with a smile.

"So what did you ask Dave to give Jas? And wouldn't it have been easier to ask Ian to give whatever that is to Jas?" Adrianna asked as she gave her husband a curious look.

Cedric chuckled at the thought of Ian meeting up with Jas. She had been a sour topic in Ian's relationship with Nicole, Nicole trusted Ian, but that didn't mean she wasn't occasionally jealous of Jas.

"You know that Ian and Jas can't just meet up." Cedric teased.

"Fine." Adrianna said, rolling her eyes. "What did you ask Dave to give Jas?" Adrianna asked.

"Just some planted questions, in order to trap Lucius and to get him closer to Camilla and Benedict." Cedric said with a shrug. "Plus, I want to announce that we have another one on the way."

"That's an unconventional way of announcing my pregnancy." Adrianna said with a laugh.

"It has business implications too." Cedric said as he held his wife tightly to his chest.

"Who is launching anything baby or child related?" Adrianna asked. "Wait, pregnancy or baby related. If it were just child related Emilio would have done the trick."

Cedric smiled at Adrianna. "I love how well you know me."

"Yeah, it's annoying." Adrianna teased, rolling her eyes at Cedric.

"Selina and Ayanna have a partnership coming up, I just thought they could use the boost in pregnancy and baby talk." Cedric explained. "This is fine with you, right?" He asked tentatively.

Adrianna had never voiced an opinion against Cedric using their popularity to boost his business or his friend's businesses in the past. But this time was different and Cedric wanted to be sure that his wife would agree to it.

"Of course, I mean we are supposed to announce it soon anyway. Might as well do it on our own terms and in a way that can benefit us." Adrianna told her husband with a shrug.

"You are absolutely glowing tonight honey." Cedric said as he praised his wife.

"No need to suck up Cedric." Adrianna said, rolling her eyes.

"Yeah, that's your job." Cedric said coyly, making his driver and Leon, who was seated in front, laugh.

"Gossips." Cedric said as he noticed their reaction.

It took Cedric and Adrianna another hour to get to the venue. It was at the other end of the capital, in an area quite far away from the city center.

By the time their car rolled in front of the red carpet, Cedric could clearly see how anxious and excited the reporters all were.

They began to snap photos as Leon stepped out of the car to open the door for Cedric.

Cedric took on his CEO persona, appearing intimidating and cold in front of the public. As he stepped out, he fixed his coat and helped his wife out of the car.

Everyone was excited to see the couple, they rarely did public events, and when Cedric did attend one, he didn't usually bring Adrianna along. He understood that she had her own company to run and that she was tired of having everyone talk about her.

"Mr. Reyes! Mrs. Reyes!" Cedric heard the reporters call out as he scanned the crowd, looking for Jas and he planted reporter.

Dave had sent him a message earlier telling him that Jas had solicited the help of a reporter they had embarrassed in order to stage Cedric's plan.

"Mr. Reyes! Mrs. Reyes!" Cedric heard Jas call out as he found her among the reporters. Next to her was the man Cedric assumed Jas had gotten to help her.

"Yes?" Cedric asked as he and Adrianna approached Jas.

"Mrs. Reyes looks glowing, is there any truth to the rumor that you are once more expecting? It seems you guys have quite an active personal life." Jas asked, adding the second statement, much to Cedric's amusement.

Her question made Adrianna smile and blush.

The reporters were quick to catch on to Adrianna's reaction, they had their photographers quickly snap photos before Cedric could even confirm the news.

"Yes, my lovely wife is pregnant." Cedric announced, to which the reporters all clapped. "So if you could please give her some space when you stalk her." Cedric teased, making the reporters laugh. It was rare for them to catch Cedric in such a good mood.

Cedric soon spotted Jas give the man next to her a nudge, signaling him to ask the question.

The man hesitated, clearly afraid of Cedric's reaction. In order to avoid the dead air, Cedric answered some of the other questions thrown his way about fatherhood and Adrianna's second pregnancy.

Cedric was growing impatient as he waited for the man to gather up his courage.

"Is it true that you and your Vice President, Camilla Montero, have had a falling out?" The reporter finally asked. "And is it true that you are planning on firing her?"

"I don't know where you have heard such malicious rumors." Cedric fired back, just as he had planned. "Camilla and I are going through a rough patch as friends but that will never hinder our professional interaction. So no, I will not and I will never fire Camilla Montero."

"What if she resigns?" The reporter asked.

Cedric glared at him and turned away, leaving the crowd of reporters with much more than just a pregnancy to write about.
