After driving the Ramirez couple home, Cedric drove his own exhausted family to their Mountain View Mansion. By the time they arrived, Cedric saw his lovely wife fast asleep with their little son in her arms.

Cedric quickly called for a nanny to come and take little Emilio to his room. When the little boy was lifted from his mother's arms he cried, but Cedric managed to soothe him before finally handing him over to the nanny.

He looked at the sleeping figure of his wife, she looked so elegant and peaceful as she rested. Cedric smiled to himself and picked his wife up in his arms, he was surprised that she was lighter than before, it seemed that the stress from work had caused her to lose weight.

He took her to their room and helped her get ready for bed.

"Adri." Cedric whispered as he held his wife in his arms, she stirred upon hearing her name. "I love you and Emilio so much, you both mean the world to me."

With that Cedric let himself fall asleep.

The next day Cedric and Adrianna were both up early.

Adrianna, Ayanna, and Priscilla would be heading over to Pris Mall to do as much damage as possible on Cedric's bank account. While Cedric was waiting for Ace to arrive, he had mentioned the day before that he learned something.

"I'll take Emilio." Adrianna said as they sat on the dining table, having breakfast.

"Are you sure?" Cedric said as he looked at the sleepy little boy that was falling asleep on his own food. "Won't he be a bother to you girls?" Cedric asked.

"No, mom and Ayanna love Emilio." Adrianna said with a smile. "They will be more than happy to have him along."

"Alright." Cedric said with a nod, agreeing with his wife's plans. "Just don't tire yourself too much. I noticed that you lost weight, from the stress."

"It's nothing Cedric." Adrianna told her husband. "I'm just tired, that's all." She said, dismissing his worries.

"Still, Adri, I want you to eat more and work less." Cedric said with a frown.

"Really Cedric? Will you hinder the growth of my career and my company?" Adrianna asked with a laugh.

"I can send over some professional managers to help you Adri." Cedric said with a sigh. He knew his wife wouldn't agree to this but he wanted to at least try. "You don't need to be doing everything."

"Cedric, we had a deal." Adrianna complained.

"Fine." Cedric said, not wanting to push the argument any further.

"What time is Ace arriving?" Adrianna asked, changing the topic.

"He should be here in an hour or so." Cedric said with a shrug.

"Alright. Emilio and I will be out of your hair by then." Adrianna said with a sweet smile.

After breakfast Adrianna quickly prepared herself and Emilio for their trip. She didn't need to disguise herself like Cedric, but she made sure that she at least looked respectable.

"Take care." Cedric said as he walked his wife and son over to the waiting car in their driveway.

"I have Mia with me, plus your battalion of bodyguards." Adrianna said with a laugh. "No one will dare harm me and Emilio, no one will even be able to get close."

"I know honey." Cedric said as he pulled his wife close to him and pressed his lips onto hers.

"So needy." Adrianna teased when their lips finally parted.

"I just feel like we need some alone time." Cedric said with a shrug.

"Why don't we go on a trip next week?" Adrianna asked as she hugged her husband.

"With Emilio?" Cedric asked as he looked at his son who had already climbed into their car. They were taking the sedan and Mia would be driving them.

"No silly." Adrianna said with a laugh. "With the wedding done, Ayanna and Ray can watch over Emilio, it will help them see what it's like having a child." Adrianna said with a mischievous grin.

"Alright, alright." Cedric said with a laugh as he released his wife from his arms.

"I'll see you tonight." Adrianna said as she kissed him on the cheek and got into the car.

Cedric watched as Mia drove away with his wife and son, he was actually very happy that his mother and sister got along very well with his wife. He had heard of many families where they didn't get along, he couldn't have hoped for a better relationship in his family.

Cedric decided to relax while waiting for Ace. He sat in his office, turned on the TV and asked a maid to bring in some tea.

His peaceful morning was ruined however, when his phone began to ring. Cedric groaned, it was his day off. As a matter of fact the whole Reyes Group got a day off today in celebration of Ayanna's and Ray's wedding.

When he picked his phone up, he wasn't surprised to see Dave calling him. Of course his assistants would be the only ones with the guts to bother him.

"Yes?" Cedric asked as he picked up the call.

"Sir, there is a development at the house." Dave said in a nervous tone.

"What house?" Cedric asked, slightly confused as to what Dave was talking about.

"Sir, the house your father is keeping his mistress at." Dave explained.

"What's happening?" Cedric asked over the phone. He wasn't too concerned since the movement was normally that the woman or his father, or both were back.

"Sir, there is a van from Saints Hospital outside the house." The news made Cedric sit up all of a sudden.

"That's not possible." Cedric said in shock. "This would mean, Nicole and Miguel, they knew."

"Possibly sir." Dave confirmed over the phone.

Cedric was about to go and confront Miguel when a maid knocked.

"What?" Cedric hissed.

"Sir, Dr. Chan, Miss Sebastian, and Miss Carpio are here to see you, they said it's urgent." The maid announced. She was clearly scared of Cedric's cold demeanour, he was rarely cold to the help in his own home.

"Let them in." Cedric said as he waved for her to leave.

"Keep an eye on that van and on the house." Cedric ordered Dave. "I have business to attend to, but I want regular updates."

"Yes sir." Dave said over the phone as he dropped the call.

"Cedric, we need to talk to you about something." Katerina said as she barged into the room with Eric and Calathea trailing behind her.

"An odd group the three of you make." Cedric said as he eyed them.

"Sir." Another maid said as she knocked. "Mr. Ace Reyes is here."

"Send him in." Cedric said with a nod.

"Calathea, why are you here?" Cedric asked as they waited for Aec to arrive.

"There is something you need to know about my boyfriend, well my ex-boyfriend." Calathea began to say as the door to Cedric's office opened.

"Ah, Calathea." Ace said as he entered and glared at the woman. "What is she doing here?" Ace asked Cedric.

"That's what I want to find out." Cedric told his cousin.
