"She reacted badly to whatever aphrodisiac she was given." Nicole told Cedric as she joined him in the living room.

"Is she doing better?" Cedric asked as he looked up at Nicole.

"Yes, Miguel administered some medication and Alexi's quick thinking helped cool her down." Nicole said with a nod as she sat next to Cedric. "The poor girl will be so confused when she wakes up. She had a unique one in her system, it's quite potent."

"I know it's not Alexi's fault Nicole." Cedric said with a frown. "If you're here on his behalf to convince me, I know it's not his fault."

"So why did you walk out?" Nicole asked with a puzzled look on her face.

"I was just frustrated." Cedric said with a sigh. "We've done so much so that Jen wouldn't suspect that we knew about her and so that she would let her guard down around Alexi, then he goes and loses control."

"He was drugged." Nicole reminded Cedric.

"I know." Cedric said with a frown. "That's why I can't blame him. Plus I can't ask him to stay with someone he doesn't love and someone that used him. That's just unfair."

"Thank you." Alexi said as he stepped out of his room. He had changed as was now wearing a suit once more.

"It's really not your fault." Cedric said with a nod. "Are you sure you were drugged?" Cedric asked.

"Yes, I felt different." Alexi said as he walked over to join Cedric and Nicole. He took a seat on the couch across them and leaned back. "But to be sure Nicole and Miguel have already taken samples of my blood. They want to run some tests to find out what it was."

"When do you think you were drugged?" Cedric asked.

"Well I started feeling different after I chased after Jen." Alexi explained.

"Do you think Jen could have drugged you?" Cedric asked.

"Maybe. She wanted to get intimate earlier, so she could have been doing it so we would sleep together." Alexi said as he scratched his chin. "What puzzles me is why Selina was drugged." Alexi confessed.

"Maybe she was planning on sending Selina to her boss or something, if she was the one that drugged Selina." Nicole suggested.

"It doesn't make sense, why would she drug Selina then leave the two of you together?" Cedric asked.

"She didn't leave us by choice, I made her leave." Alexi said with a shrug. "We bumped into one of my exes in the hallway and Selina got splashed by wine that was meant for me. Selina was in the wrong place at the wrong time."

"I guess it's better that you ended up in bed with Selina, she might have claimed to be pregnant if you guys slept together when you had little control." Nicole said as she thought of what decivious things Jen could have done.

"I'm just glad Selina didn't end up in the bed of Jen's boss. That would be a tragedy." Cedric said with a sigh.

"Speaking of her boss, I overheard her speaking to them." Alexi said as he remembered the one sided conversation he had heard in the hallway.

Cedric looked at him and raised an eyebrow, he was waiting for Alexi to explain.

"Well the serums she took from Natalia's lab are still with her. I think she stored it in her apartment. She mentioned that the serums were delicate and that she would meet up with him at a more suitable time." Alexi explained. "I also don't think she's caught on to us knowing the truth." Alexi said with a shrug.

"What gave you that idea?" Cedric asked.

"Because when she was talking to her boss or her partner, she told them that she had me wrapped around her finger and that I would do anything to be with her." Alexi said with a sigh. "If she thought that way why would she go berserk over accusations of me cheating on her with Selina?"

"How did you know she said you were cheating?" Nicole asked.

"Dave told me earlier. I told him it was very uncharacteristic of Jen to do something like that." Alexi said with a shrug.

"So if she believed that you were in love with her, then why would she accuse you of cheating in public?" Nicole asked as she said her thoughts out loud. "I'm sorry guys, I wish I remembered what we fought over. I feel so useless not remembering."

"It's not your fault Nicole." Miguel said as he placed a hand on Nicole's shoulder. He had just come out of the bedroom. "Selina is awake. The medicine we gave her worked, but she isn't in the best condition."

"We need to talk to her." Cedric said as he stood up. "She might know who drugged her."

"And you plan on just marching into the room like that?" Nicole said as she looked him over.

"Why?" Cedric asked, throwing a confused look at Nicole.

"Selina doesn't know you are the CEO of the Reyes Group, remember?" Nicole said, shaking her head. "For a smart person you can be quite stupid."

"You'll shock and confuse her." Alexi said with a look of concern on his face. Cedric could tell that whatever had just happened between him and Selina had made Alexi's feelings for the woman come out. "Right now you're dressed like the CEO but with your normal face."

"So I'm just average?" Cedric asked, crossing his arms. "In that case, you are less than average. We all know I'm better looking."

"Yeah, according to your wife!" Alexi said with a laugh. "Don't forget Cedric, I've been with dozens of women. They all want me." Alexi boasted.

"They just go with you cause you're easy." Miguel said with a laugh.

"Whatever, Mr. Virgin." Alexi said, rolling his eyes.

Miguel simply rolled his eyes at Alexi and went back into the bedroom to take care of Selina.

"I think we should tell Selina everything." Alexi's tone suddenly turned serious, making Cedric look at him with suspicion.

"Why?" Cedric asked. He didn't want his friend thinking with his dick again.

"Because she's a victim in all of this, she deserves to know that the person helping her isn't some stranger and is someone she can trust." Alexi said with a shrug.

Cedric paused and thought about the repercussions, Selina and her family would be good allies to have and he felt like he could trust Selina and her twin brother, Helios. He was just hesitant in widening the circle of people that could be put in danger for knowing his true identity.

"Fine." Cedric said, giving into Alexi's request.
