When Cedric woke up the next day Adrianna was no longer in bed with him, he could hear the water in the shower running as he checked the time, it was already 9 o'clock in the morning. He was surprised that he had slept in and quickly sat up when he saw the time.

"Honey, did you switch off my alarm?" Cedric called out as he got out of bed.

"Yeah, I thought since it was your day off, you shouldn't have to wake up so early." Adrianna said from the shower. Cedric heard the water being switched off, she must have gotten up much earlier than he thought.

"But we're going out today." Cedric said as he walked to the closest to pick out his clothes.

"Well our trip isn't one that needs to be on the dot. You're on vacation, don't stress yourself out." Adrianna said as she stepped out of the bathroom in a bathrobe. "I already prepared your clothes. I don't want you to stress out about anything today. Go take a bath."

"You should have woken me up, we could have taken a bath together." Cedric teased Adrianna as he entered the bathroom.

By the time Cedric was done Adrianna had already gone down and said she would have breakfast. Cedric quickly placed on his clothes and joined everyone in the dining room.

"I gave everyone the day off." Ace suddenly said as Cedric took a seat.

"You did what?" Cedric asked in surprise.

"Hey, if I can laze around today I want my people to have the same benefit. We all work equally as hard, and they didn't get that all expense paid trip to Kashmere like all the head office people did when you became CEO." Ace said with a shrug as he quickly defended his actions.

"I guess that's alright." Cedric said after listening to Ace's reason. "People do need a break once in a while."

"So what are we going to do today?" Ace asked as he ate his breakfast.

"I was thinking we could take a tour of the city, then maybe some shopping. I'm sure the girls are dying to do that." Cedric teased as Adrianna glared at him.

"It was only a joke, honey." Cedric said as he kissed the top of her head.

"Do you want to sleep on the couch?" Adrianna asked with a straight face.

"I can't sleep if you aren't next to me Adrianna." Cedric said sweetly as he tried to coax his wife.

"Cancel all the plans for today." Eric said frantically as he rushed into the dinning room followed by Miguel who seemed a whole lot calmer.

"Why? What's wrong?" Cedric asked as he looked at the brothers.

"Nicole has gone into labor. We need to go back home." Miguel explained as he turned to leave. Cedric guessed that he was going back to the room to pack his bags.

"I'll have the cars and the plane readied while you pack." Ace told his cousin and his cousin's friends as he stood up and walked out of the room to arrange for everything.

"It's not yet time." Katerina said as they walked up the stairs to their room.

"I know, she's a month too early." Adrianna added.

"It might be the stress. We all know she hasn't had a peaceful pregnancy." Veronica reminded them as they walked down the hallway.

"It's a good thing Ian asked to stay behind. Imagine if he had come along." Adrianna said, thinking out loud.

"Let's hurry up and pack ladies." Cedric said as he rushed the women to their rooms.

When they got back down Ace already had the cars ready. Cedric said goodbye to his aunt and uncle and promised to visit as soon as he could.

Ace rode with Cedric and Adrianna to the airport, taking advantage of the time to discuss some work items with him.

"I thought I told you to take the day off." Cedric groaned as Ace asked for his opinion on a new venture he wanted to explore.

"Well, I thought I had a few more days with you here." Ace complained.

"Come home, visit. Then we can discuss all of this." Cedric said as he rolled his eyes at his cousin.

"Or I could just call." Ace said with a shrug.

"No, mom and dad would appreciate a visit." Cedric said with a laugh. "Plus you can meet my son."

"Alright. When I have something to report on the investigation I will fly over instead of calling or sending an email." Ace teased as their car drove up to the private plane. "I arranged for priority departure, I said it was a medical emergency. I mean it kind of is." Ace said with a shrug as he opened the door and stepped out.

"We'll see you in the Capital. Soon I hope." Cedric said as he said goodbye to Ace.

"I will come. I promise." Ace said with a nod as he waved goodbye to his cousin, cousin-in-law, and their friends.

"How's Nicole?" Adrianna asked Miguel as they boarded the plane.

"As well as a woman going into labor could be." Miguel said with a laugh as his wife smacked him on the head.

"Be more considerate." Veronica scolded.

"Relax, Nicole is going to be fine. There are no complications despite it being too early. It's not the same as when little Emilio was born." Miguel said with a shrug. "And besides, she has her husband with her and our mom is there. The only thing that would make it better is if I were there. But seriously, even if I were there I wouldn't be needed, mom is the best person to be there right now." Miguel said in a more serious tone.

The rest of the flight was quiet, it seemed that Miguel and Eric were more anxious about Nicole giving birth than they let show. Cedric was sure that the girls were worried too, especially since when Emilio was born there were complications.

"What do you think, will it be a boy or a girl?" Cedric asked in order to break the silence.

"I actually know." Miguel confessed.

"What? Nicole is going to kill you." Veronica said with a laugh. It seemed to delight her that her husband would be getting into trouble.
