"Aiden, you work here?" Cedric asked.

"Yeah, I started recently." Aiden said with a shrug. "I thought you worked over at the Reyes Group. Why are you here?" Aiden asked.

"Oh, I'm here for an interview." Cedric explained.

"Why?" Aiden asked.

"Well I'm tired of all the rumors about Adrianna and the CEO of the Reyes Group. I thought that maybe if I left people would stop thinking that I sold her over to him." Cedric explained.

"Ah, that's a bummer. I hope you get the job though. Anyway. Good luck, I have to go." Aiden said as he waved goodbye and left.

Cedric breathed a sigh of relief when Aiden bought his lie. He thought he was done for when Aiden walked into the room.

Daisy returned a few moments after Aiden left, his interview with her went smoothly and it was much more casual since they had the chance to talk earlier. Overall it seemed that Daisy liked Cedric and was happy with his credentials.

"I honestly thought you were slow earlier." Daisy said with a laugh as they walked down the hall back to the VP for Operations' office. "Apparently you're just respectful, which is a good asset. My hubby to be will be happy to have you on his team." Daisy said with a laugh.

Cedric was surprised when she mentioned her pregnancy and who the father was, he really didn't realize that her baby's father was the VP for Operations, but relationships like these were not unheard of, they just rarely happened in the Reyes Group.

"So Philip isn't your typical Vice President, actually the whole executive team of Regis Inc. is quite unique. A few years back the Carpio family brought in this new hot shot CEO, and when I say hot I mean hot. Like he's a walking adonis!" Daisy said with a giggle. "He's so handsome that he even has Miss Calathea wrapped around his finger. Anyway, Philip was one of his connections, young, smart, rich, innovative, there are three of them here now, the CEO, Philip, and a manager that they are training, he just came in. So don't be so worried, Philip is a casual man."

"I'll keep that in mind." Cedric said, Aiden was probably that new manager they were talking about, from what Cedric had discovered about him he was a talented businessman so it came as no surprise that Regis Inc. would snap him up so quickly.

"Philip, the applicant is here." Daisy happily greeted as she led Cedric in.

"Ah, come, sit." Philip said with a smile as he gestured for Cedric to sit by his desk.

"Thank you, Daisy." Philip said with a smile, to which Daisy simply nodded and left.

"Did she tell you?" Philip's tone suddenly turned dark as Daisy left the room.

"Tell me what sir?" Cedric asked.

"Look, if you passed her screening and the HR's screening you've passed for the job, but I need someone who will be my man. So I will ask you again, did she tell you?" Philip asked in a stern tone.

"She told me the child was yours and that you would be getting married." Cedric admitted.

"If I give you this job, you will be my man, can you do that?" Philip asked.

"Yes." Cedric answered quickly.

"Good." Philip said with a nod. "I'll hire you, but you'll need to prove your loyalty."

"I can do that, it won't be the first time." Cedric said, insinuating that he had to do the same in his past work.

"Daisy dear!" Philip shouted to call in his current assistant.

"Yes Philip?" Daisy asked as she came in.

"He's hired, inform HR." Philip informed her.

"Great!" Daisy said excitedly. "Come on Cedric, let's get the paperwork done."

Cedric stood up and thanked Philip who simply waved him away as he returned to his work.

"You can actually go now. Someone from human resources will contact you. I'll walk you out, I need to stretch my legs anyway." Daisy said as she walked with Cedric to the elevator.

"But I want to go on a date tonight!" A familiar voice whined as Cedric and Daisy turned the corner, it was Calathea Carpio.

Cedric kept his head low, he knew that if Calathea saw him his cover would be blown.

"Can I go to the restroom first?" Cedric asked Daisy as he quickly thought of a way to avoid Calathea.

"Sure go straight then turn right." Daisy said as she pointed straight ahead.

Cedric looked at where he would have to pass. Aside from avoiding Calathea he wanted to catch a glimpse of the new CEO that the Carpio family had hired for Regis Group, and by the looks of it this man was the one Calathea had come home for and not Eric as Cedric had initially suspected.

"You don't love me anymore." Cedric heard Calathea say. "I'll go back to Eric." Cedric wanted to laugh at what she had just said, it seemed that Calathea was lying to get the new CEO to go on a date with her.

As Cedric passed, he caught Calathea marching in the opposite direction. He only managed a quick glimpse at the CEO before having to quickly duck behind a wall because Calathea changed her mind and turned around.

Cedric sighed, it was a close call. He went over to the restroom and stayed for a few minutes. When he was sure Calathea was gone he went back out and found Daisy waiting for him outside the restroom.

"You take as long as a girl." Daisy said with a laugh as they walked to the elevator.

"The CEO and Miss Carpio are dating?" Cedric asked Daisy as they rode the elevator.

Daisy looked at Cedric curiously then burst out laughing.

"I forgot you used to work as an assistant at the Reyes Group so you would know Miss Calathea, she prefers to be called Miss Calathea by the way. But yeah, they started dating two years ago. At first we thought Miss Calathea was just using him to get her long time love jealous, don't tell anyone but Miss Calathea has been in love with Eric Chan for a really long time." Daisy said as she giggled at the last bit of gossip. "But they seem to be going steadily. The CEO even goes to Spain just to visit her, anyway you'll learn more about it when you join." Daisy said with a shrug as the elevator doors opened.

"Daisy, I have a question?" Cedric asked as they walked out.

"Go, shoot." Daisy confidently said.

"What's the CEOs name?" Cedric asked, Daisy stopped in her tracks and looked at him.
