Alexi played with Jen's fingers under the table, he was so happy that Jen had agreed to attend Cedric's get together with him. After the leak came out about them Jen had been avoiding him, she avoided his calls and when he would visit her in the hospital she would avoid him there as well.

He even went up to her apartment, but she refused to go down and meet him. Things got worse when she found out that he had gone with Cedric to meet Selina. He, Jen, and Selina had a complicated past.

A few months ago

"Jen, please, come down. I miss you. I want to talk to you. Jen I need you." Alexi said in a sad tone over the phone, it had been weeks

"Alexi, I don't want to be involved with you anymore." Jen said in a cold tone. Alexi felt as if someone was driving a knife through his heart.

"Jen please, give me a chance. You are the only woman for me, the only one I can love," Alexi begged.

"The moment the public learns about us they will label me an easy woman. Everyone knows you're the country's biggest playboy. I can't have that title if you will just throw me aside. No decent man will want me." Jen told him over the phone.

"No man will be allowed to want you because you will only be mine. You are the one for me Jen. I would marry you in a heartbeat if you were willing." Alexi told her desperately over the phone.

"Don't say things like that. Don't promise things like that Alexi. You don't know everything about my past. You will leave me if you knew." Jen said in a sad tone. Alexi wished he could be next to her and pull her into his arms.

"Jen, please, one chance. That's all I'm asking for." Alexi pleased over the phone. "We can keep our relationship a secret as long as you want. Please I need you."

Something must have stirred Jen's heart because she later on reluctantly agreed making Alexi the happiest man alive.

"Alexi?" Jen's voice pulled Alexi back from his memory. He simply smiled and said nothing.

"So Jen, are you and my brother officially together now?" Katerina asked as she leaned in closer. Alexi threw her a look warning her not to ruin things for him.

Katerina simply rolled her eyes at him and ignored his threat.

"Well not yet, but I did ask him for more time." Jen told Katerina.

"Don't make him wait too long Jen, my brother is anything but patient." Katerina said as she looked at Alexi. Alexi stood up and pulled Kateirna to the side.

"What the hell are you doing Katerina?" Alexi asked.

"What? I'm just preparing her." Katerina said quite frankly.

"You said you would give her a fu*king chance!" Alexi said angrily.

"I am, I did, and I've decided I don't like her." Kateina said as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"And what made you decide that?" Alexi asked with a raised eyebrow.

"I just don't like her. Something about her seems off Alexi." Katerina told Alexi.

"And here I was thinking you were the more rational between the two of us." Alexi said as he glared at her angrily. "Since when have you let your rationality desert you Katerina? Jen has not done anything for you to dislike her, she's been nice and respectful to you. Something not all of the girls I've dated have done." Alexi said with a sigh. Some of the girls he had dated thought that they would be the one that could change Alexi from a playboy to a one woman man, they were all wrong. Some of them had even gone as far as offending Katerina, it would eventually become one of the biggest mistakes of their lives.

"I prefer Selina." Katerina suddenly said out of nowhere.

"Selina has nothing to do with me." Alexi told his sister. "She's the woman that broke Jen's heart. She's the one that's the reason why Jen has a hard time trusting other people's feelings. She's the reason why Jen is afraid to love again."

"From what I remember you wanted to be with her. I saw the way you looked at her. It was different." Katerina said in a raised voice. "You were the one that asked dad to try to get her for you."

"I was foolish and childish. I was still recovering from Ilya's death!" Alexi shouted back.

"You were so broken after she refused you." Katerina told him.

"And who was responsible for that Katerina? Who told her to refuse, if I recall correctly that person was you." Alexi said. "Why must you drive away all the women I want?"

"Don't you dare go there Alexi!" Katerina threatened.

"Really? Now you're threatening me Katerina?" Alexi asked angrily.

"You weren't ready to be serious at the time!" Katerina shouted back.

"How could you know it better than me Katerina? I was ready to open up again and you drove her away." Alexi shouted.

"You would have ruined her Alexi. Now she is this amazing person and you're a better person now too." Katerina told her brother.

"I love someone else, Katerina. Can't you see that." Alexi said.

Alexi took a deep breath and relaxed, he didn't want to make a scene today and he didn't want Jen to think that something was wrong. He needed Katerina to tone down.

"Katerina." Alexi said in a sweet and coaxing tone. "Please just give her a chance. Be nice to her, don't be too hostile. That's all I'm asking."

Katerina looked at her brother angrily. She didn't say no and she didn't argue back. She simply turned and left.

Alexi knew he had won, Katerina not saying anything meant she should do as he asked, she just wasn't happy about it.

When Alexi returned to Jen's side she smiled at him. Alexi couldn't resist, he pulled her to him and kissed her.
